absolutely fantastic video with great all informative captions. sitting faraway in indian eastern state, northernmost scottish mainland has always been a kind of fairyland for me, as it the endpoint of the greatest island nation on earth. and thurso means end of all those greatness down south where nordic culture steps in. and orkney is the last post of that greatness.
My great great grandparents came from Thurso, and my 4x great grandparents gravestones are still in St Peters churchyard, the Carnaby family, who we think came up from Northumberland

But without car, is it possible to take surf lessons in thurso, or we must go obligatory to the dunnets beach ? (i've found a surf school in dunnets, but it is eleven kms away...I'm a littel bit lost to organise my travel. A solution could be to rent a bike, but its possible in thurso ? I have been going to Thurso regularly since the late 60's, it's a wonderful town with wonderful people and a great base to tour the north coast.

Thurso has a special place in my heart. My Scottish great-grandmother was born there and I visited the town in 1981. Would like to return one day.
visited Thurso as a teenager in 1972 - hope to do so again, as a geriatric!, in 2024

You can take a bus from Thurso to Dunnet. Happy surfing!
