Thank you! Remember my Gran talking about Thurso many years ago. She used to visit when she visited from Toronto. ❤️

Filmed on days when no people about? I live in Castletown brought up in Thurso, it's quiet now, but like towns everywhere Internet finished off all local shops now charity shops and hairdressers! Yes caithness is remote, and takes a time to travel to cities (inverness 140 miles or so) but there is plenty to do here if you ask around. And not as cold in winter as you think. Because we are coastal escape a lot of ice conditions. Great wildlife too, seals in river middle of town on high tide, otters there too, lots of birdlife also. And light nights in summer!

It's such a bleak place with hardly any people. My 4x great grandparents had a street named after them in Thurso, Carnbay Place, think it's still there, although their big house is long gone. Their 3 sons had lots of dalliances with local servant girls. Their gravestones are in St Peters Church yard. Some of their descendants ended up in Crosby, Liverpool with big connections

Out of interest, how did some one from Morocco find Thurso? Hardly no one in the UK has heard of this remote place!.
