Watayuki Kimihyra totally summed it. Most of season 2 was so far removed from the rest but quite funny. When it gets to the action, all the eps are excellent
and we still haven't got his real name prior the great fire granted i think type moon forgot that Shirou Emiya is the name given by kiritsugu because he died and came back his entire character pre fire could have been a completely different person
Considering all the appearances we have of Shirou, its very probable that his adoption by Kiritsugu Emiya is a fixed point, a requirement of history like Artoria taking up Caliburn and becoming King Arthur. What changes is what comes afterwards, depending on the world he is in, though it seems the Counter Force and the Throne of Heroes doesn't care what verse he is from, as the Heroic Spirit Emiya will always exist. I will say though, Kaleid did a good job of giving us a Shirou that came very, very close to HS Emiya, now all we have to see is if he makes a personal deal with the Counter Force for Miyu and closes the circle of his fate.
Something that I think most people don't realize is how this version of Shirou unlike pretty much every other doesn't seem to have massive PTSD and survivors guilt. It's really noticeable when you see a young Shirou play with Miyu and you know actually act like a kid his age whereas Shirou in UBW can't have a single day with Rin and Saber without feeling absolutely terrible, thinking that he doesn't deserve this and that he is "unworthy" of it all. It makes sense that a version of Shirou who didn't have that massive trauma and grew up with a version of Kiritsugu who was like his Fate/Zero counterpart (someone very different than the Kiritsugu Shirou grew up with in Stay Night) became distant to the idea of "saving the world" and instead just wanted to save those close to him. It's natural after all, most human beings would sacrifice a lot- if not everything if they could save their loved ones even if to others it seems illogical or "evil".
It's like instead, Miyu suffers from those problems after literally abandoning her native world. She rationalizes herself as an accident when she realizes that Illya was a girl born instead of her. That's why she was so grateful when Shirou explained what a birthday was and how they were grateful for her being born as well, not just Illya. Kiritsugu is always a birthday party pooper, even in FGO.

I don't care what they say about this but Miyuverse/Prisma Illya Shiro and Kuro are one of the most badass characters and entrances in the verse. FGO Miyuverse Shiro please.
The Kuro v. Alter Sabre fight ranks in my top #5 fights of all time. It's just so freaking epic. When the Emiya Ilya theme first started you knew S%#& was about to get real. If that isn't an epic entrance I don't know what is.

Wasn't even into the Fate/Loli spin-off, until the anime showed Miyuverse Shirou. Began reading the manga, up to the point it stopped being *a magical girl spinoff.* Srsly that Flashback arc was one of the best stories Fate had to tell. Also that Emiya theme in the Oath Under the Snow movie. Easily the one of the best remix behind the Kenji Kawaii ver. 2 Emiya.

Note that Miyu is the first character in the entire Nasuverse to be Shirou's blood relative. When Miyu wished for the two of them to be true siblings, her eyes changed colour to match Shirou's.
Just did a 10-roll 10 minutes ago and got Tamacaster. Hella legit. Unfortunately because I just maxed out Illya I don't have that many spare mats for casters right now, and I just missed the Friday Caster Mat grind.
Something that most people miss at the end is that Kiritsugu doesn't abandon Illya. He constantly tried to return to see her again but is rejected due to him "being too weak" and rejected by Sella and Liz (I think I don't really remember if it was them or a field). He wishes to see his daughter again but can't due to the war's stain on his power. Edit: 1:21

Fun fact :D Ruby and Sapphire are based on Kohaku and Hisui from Tsukihime/ Melty Blood. Ruby - Kohaku (both are sweet mischevious, to a borderline sadistic level. Both have love for dangerous inventions. Although they clearly have respect for their master, they partly view him/her as her toy) Also same voice actor ;) Sapphie - Hisui - like with Sapphire, Hisui is acting like a voice of reason to Kohaku sadistic tendencies. Trying to reform her sister. Except Hisui is much more lenient and forgiving towards Kohaku. (also voiced by the same actor) This is because Ruby originally appeared in Fate/Hollow Ataraxia and her personality appeared was based on Kohaku since that time. Except Rin actually enjoyed her mahou shoujo look ;)
Ilya and irisveil are still homuculus. Just ran with Kerry. Also ilya still has her heart instead of the grial so she is still a normal girl and can grow normaly. Chloe can grow too if the chest joke was true. But yes i love this story. Sakura grts all the sympathy yet ilya always dies in every path. Ilya deserves this as a little girl with shirou. Plus everyone is great in this and luvia cna be a main character

I believe that Walter Velvet becoming El Meloi El II is a sort of multiversal constant. Since he is also El in Fate/Apocrypha and Fate/Grand Order. Both series were the timeline was very different. It seems to be destiny for Kayneth to die and Walter to marry into the Archibalds and take on the name. Its just like how Archer had to use a complicated scheme to kill Shirou instead of sniping him dead. Even if he shot one Shirou another one would become Archer rendering the murder moot.
That is a whole box of sadness as revealed in Fate/Grand Order Fate/Kalied event where we meet the First Lady (the very first Magical Girl which all Magical Girls in the Nasuverse is based on) and Mila (the first Corrupted Magical Girl)

(Not sure if that's going to stick but that would be stupid since he was the best part of season 4) A snowball fight Illya finally installing the Herc beserk card and overriding it with the rider card becoming the beserker medusa Kuro and Miyu fighting Sakuras and a giant hiatus...

Prisma Illya is hands down my favorite anime series of all time (look at my profile pic lol). It’s the ultimate embodiment of polarity. By this I mean thematically, lewd/cute girls vs serious themes of family/friendship. The whole Illya vs Kuro deal of acceptance. There’s the contrast between Asinworth and Miyuverse Shirou. Not the mention the heartfelt moments in 2wei/2wei herz, the exciting OVAs, the excellent Asinworth mage craft graphics. Perfect. Excellent summary! You should do Litcht Nameless Girl next.

Note that the kaliedosticks can do more than make magical girls. They basically can download parallel version of yourself and overlay it onto you to accomplish a task that you currently desire. I believe either Rin or Ruby claimed in F/HA that Rin accidentally downloaded a version of herself 'that is good at singing' and consequently scared a crowd of people.

Even though this series is polarizing, I’ve always enjoyed it. I thoroughly enjoy the friendship between Illya and Miyu, and I’m fascinated by the idea of using Class Cards to employ the power of Heroic Spirits. I don’t even find Chloe all that irritating. All around a good series.

There is... or rather was a rather nice irony in the cast. The voice actress for Sapphire was a person with the first name Miyu. So both the stick and the girl are both Miyu in a way. ^^ Unfortunately the real-life Miyu passed away partway through the series in 2015.
This is the fate version of Marvel's what ifs. Like what if shero's family never dies or what of sakura stayed a tohsaka and Rin is adopted by the Matou
They should do Fate Grand Order (Cosmos in the Lostbelt), but mostly with magical girls; starring: Usagi Tsukino, Sakura Kinomoto, Madoka Kaname, Nanoha Takamachi, and Nagisa Misumi as Ritsuka Fujimaru. The story would also feature other badass women from anime and fiction.
A lot of fans enjoy this for the outside. By that I mean the cute characters, loli, ecchi... For me, that's only 2/3 of the excellence. The other 1/3 is how characters sacrsfice themself for friendship, synergy and support.
Personally, Fate Kaleid is my favorite Fate series (most of Fate series are just not for me, with some exceptions). I still don't like the fact that it has ecchi (actually if it wasn't for that it would be in my top 9 favorite animes), but it ended up being better than I expected.
This series got me into the Fate series in the first place. I loved the Magical Girl aspect and the humor of Prisma Illya was something that made me watch each episode with waiting the laugh at the craziness. Second half of Illya season 2 (Zwei Hertz) was perhaps the funniest episodes especially with one of girls discovering her love for Dojinshi manga and making the 3 girls she was pairing together into 3 boys in her manga. Illya, Kuro and Miyu are my fav threesome in anime and to have one of their school friends pair all 3 of them in their Dojinshi Manga as Boys instead of Girls is just too funny.
Luis Molina I swear that was such a bad decision to include that much fanservice. It detracts from the story and also drives a significant number of viewers away. I could barely finish the manga.
Lets make an anime for fate fans who love Illya. -A magical girl anime? -yeah but it requires you to know what happened in F/SN -won't that make the story incomprehensive, who is this even for -Fate fans or yuri fans? -Both. -That's a good way to lose money how will we profit to make four seasons animated and a long-running manga out of it. -Don't worry we initially target both with the first season focus on the yuri fanbase until late season 3 and then make the story the greatest fate spectacle animated with a movie so everyone has to watch it. -Your Promoted
I am not really into the yuri aspect but I guess I don't recall much of it since I focus more on the overall narrative, amazing battles, and awesome BGM.
I had been putting off seeing the new movie since it came out. 5 minutes into the video and I realize that was a massive mistake. Edit: Yup, I was missing out on what honestly might be one of my favorite stories in any of the fate series.
6:48 the cup with mystic properties didn't actually fail rather the whole mess with angra mainyu forced acht into turning irisviel into the grails vessel thus because turning her into the grails vessel will prevent the other mages from finding out the corruption of the grail thus preventing the holy grail war from stoping
I first watched this before 3rei aired and since i loved Illya from FSn i wanted to see more, the loli yuri stuff did throw me off but some of it played for laughs is funny also the comedy of the series is also really good. Then i decided to read the manga and cant help but notice how subdued the art of 3Rei is compared to the manga but still good. As I'm rewatching the series with the knowledge of fate hollow ataxaria and other type moon stuff im noticing references and paralells i didn't before and all the Miyu foreshadowing that was done throughout. We get one of the best Shirou Emiyas we also got animated Caren Ortensia, Bazett. Irisviel as her einzbern consolation room self unhinged lol , some pretty epic battle scenes also the BGM is really good with 3 of my favorite EMIYA remixes ive heard yet and as for the manga currently we just received a huge bombshell of an event that makes you go... What now??
As Illya and Iri both are based on a member of the Einzbern family, if they did enough inbreeding they could create someone similar looking to Iri and eventually illya

The Kuro v. Alter Sabre fight ranks in my top #5 fights of all time. It's just so freaking epic. When the Emiya Ilya theme first started you knew S%#& was about to get real. If that isn't an epic entrance I don't know what is.

Something that most people miss at the end is that Kiritsugu doesn't abandon Illya. He constantly tried to return to see her again but is rejected due to him "being too weak" and rejected by Sella and Liz (I think I don't really remember if it was them or a field). He wishes to see his daughter again but can't due to the war's stain on his power.

Ruby - Kohaku (both are sweet mischevious, to a borderline sadistic level. Both have love for dangerous inventions. Although they clearly have respect for their master, they partly view him/her as her toy) Also same voice actor ;)
Sapphie - Hisui - like with Sapphire, Hisui is acting like a voice of reason to Kohaku sadistic tendencies. Trying to reform her sister. Except Hisui is much more lenient and forgiving towards Kohaku. (also voiced by the same actor)
This is because Ruby originally appeared in Fate/Hollow Ataraxia and her personality appeared was based on Kohaku since that time. Except Rin actually enjoyed her mahou shoujo look ;)
Ilya and irisveil are still homuculus. Just ran with Kerry. Also ilya still has her heart instead of the grial so she is still a normal girl and can grow normaly. Chloe can grow too if the chest joke was true. But yes i love this story. Sakura grts all the sympathy yet ilya always dies in every path. Ilya deserves this as a little girl with shirou. Plus everyone is great in this and luvia cna be a main character

I believe that Walter Velvet becoming El Meloi El II is a sort of multiversal constant. Since he is also El in Fate/Apocrypha and Fate/Grand Order. Both series were the timeline was very different. It seems to be destiny for Kayneth to die and Walter to marry into the Archibalds and take on the name. Its just like how Archer had to use a complicated scheme to kill Shirou instead of sniping him dead. Even if he shot one Shirou another one would become Archer rendering the murder moot.

The only Fate series I actually watched, and learning the lore even made me like it more.
Prisma Illya is hands down my favorite anime series of all time (look at my profile pic lol). It’s the ultimate embodiment of polarity. By this I mean thematically, lewd/cute girls vs serious themes of family/friendship. The whole Illya vs Kuro deal of acceptance. There’s the contrast between Asinworth and Miyuverse Shirou.
Not the mention the heartfelt moments in 2wei/2wei herz, the exciting OVAs, the excellent Asinworth mage craft graphics.

This is my favorite Fate anime, as strange as it is.
Note that the kaliedosticks can do more than make magical girls. They basically can download parallel version of yourself and overlay it onto you to accomplish a task that you currently desire. I believe either Rin or Ruby claimed in F/HA that Rin accidentally downloaded a version of herself 'that is good at singing' and consequently scared a crowd of people.
Who cares if this show doesn't make much sense. This show is fricking fun to watch. I really enjoyed Angelica vs Shirou fight and i cried at the end.

Even though this series is polarizing, I’ve always enjoyed it. I thoroughly enjoy the friendship between Illya and Miyu, and I’m fascinated by the idea of using Class Cards to employ the power of Heroic Spirits. I don’t even find Chloe all that irritating. All around a good series.

Personally, Fate Kaleid is my favorite Fate series (most of Fate series are just not for me, with some exceptions). I still don't like the fact that it has ecchi (actually if it wasn't for that it would be in my top 9 favorite animes), but it ended up being better than I expected.

This series got me into the Fate series in the first place.
I loved the Magical Girl aspect and the humor of Prisma Illya was something that made me watch each episode with waiting the laugh at the craziness.
Second half of Illya season 2 (Zwei Hertz) was perhaps the funniest episodes especially with one of girls discovering her love for Dojinshi manga and making the 3 girls she was pairing together into 3 boys in her manga.
Illya, Kuro and Miyu are my fav threesome in anime and to have one of their school friends pair all 3 of them in their Dojinshi Manga as Boys instead of Girls is just too funny.

I first watched this before 3rei aired and since i loved Illya from FSn i wanted to see more, the loli yuri stuff did throw me off but some of it played for laughs is funny also the comedy of the series is also really good. Then i decided to read the manga and cant help but notice how subdued the art of 3Rei is compared to the manga but still good. As I'm rewatching the series with the knowledge of fate hollow ataxaria and other type moon stuff im noticing references and paralells i didn't before and all the Miyu foreshadowing that was done throughout. We get one of the best Shirou Emiyas we also got animated Caren Ortensia, Bazett. Irisviel as her einzbern consolation room self unhinged lol , some pretty epic battle scenes also the BGM is really good with 3 of my favorite EMIYA remixes ive heard yet
and as for the manga currently we just received a huge bombshell of an event that makes you go... What now??
As Illya and Iri both are based on a member of the Einzbern family, if they did enough inbreeding they could create someone similar looking to Iri and eventually illya
