I figured it out while playing with a group of my friends we were doing a custom vahala (or however you spell it) assult and i picked up a deployable sheild and accidentally shot a sniper through it and hit my friend and then i realized what power i had just uncovered and just started laughing meniaclly and he asked me "dude you shot me but didnt kill me, why are you laughing?"

This is the very first halo mission I ever played, I was 8 at the time the game had just come out and up until this point my parents always made me leave the room when my Dad was playing a shooter game cause my mom didn’t want me to see the violence, one day my mom wasn’t home and I went and secretly watched my Dad playing but he caught me and being a cool Dad let me play. I wouldn’t use the Assault Rifle because I didn’t want to run out of ammo (I had never played a game where ammo was limited before) so I would just use the spike rifle for the whole mission. From that day on my mom and Dad decided i was old enough to play and I played halo 3 all the time. Over 10 later looking back it’s still my favourite game ever and still some of my best friends today I met on online multiplayer. Some of the best times in my life spent playing custom games in halo 3 that I’ll never forget. Thank you for everything Crows Nest I’ll never forget you. ❤️

My favorite Halo 3 missions would have to be The Ark and The Covenant. I’m constantly going back to play them and would love to see you make a video covering them.

4:02 is also my favourite section, the “oh damn!” Factor is great, the multiple ways you can go about it is awesome, and the feeling of being a badass when you’re done is incredible

I always loved missions that take place in human bases
The first room with the chieftain and brutes on legendary, I took that turret that was in the room with the drones and carried it with me there. I went up to the truck and shot the turret under the part where the trailer connects to the truck. Killed several without getting hit.
this is also a great example of what bungie did right with Halo 3 in essence! the part in the garrage 4:40
the brute chieftain stands back and waits... he let's his men spent the strength of the demon and then when he get's too close, enters battle!
even better is the mission on the Arc, in the room before the pelican picks chief up and all the sentinels appear before speeding off into the distance: when entering this room the first time, a cirle of brutes stands there, with a chieftain in the middle who actually challenges chief in real tim without any fucking cinematic or something, while his minor brutes stand around and cheer for him!
in Halo 4/5 every enemy, no matter the rank just rushes... brainlessly, without any tactics. they just come at you...
That Brute room with the chieftain in this mission really makes me respect the Brutes as an enemy, their social structure is really cool, I love how the chieftain sits back and watches as his soldiers barrel in and attack you relentlessly until they're dead or you attack him and he goes berserk (also that other one time where the chieftain fights you one on one in front of his subordinates in a circle, I forget the mission name). Very fun enemies to fight.
I personally love tsavo highway and I found out when I played it on the MCC my casual play through time beats the par time 😛

When I first played crow’d best, I was so scared of the brute section, but now I charge in there with 1 health single handily killing all the brutes
I have so many memories from that section before the barracks from when I was a kid. I still find it pretty intimidating to this day, no matter what difficulty I play on. But ah, good times!

I had one time that I were playing on the Mission "Floodgate". I was going after a couple flood units attacking the marines. Three seperate times I accidentaly shot the SAME marine in the head with a shotgun. I was suprised he survived all the way to where you leave them to continue with Arbiter through the rest
I thought he was gonna scam us with a fake Easter egg but he flew across the room lol.

You, Naked Eli, and The Act Man had inspired me to do a halo 1, 3, and reach solo legendary play through with the iron skull on for the first time ever, to test my abilities.
After much effort, I finally beat halo 1 solo legendary with the iron skull on. Keyes was my hardest mission, and the library was a close second.
On to halo 3, THIS level was fantastic, challenging, and does have a lot of awesome environments and combat elements! I know exactly what you mean by hearing "SORRY FOR THE TIGHT SQUEEZ" X a million - because I died a lot......
So hey - thanks for the inspiration!
Also I'm content with beating halo 2 on legendary.

Played it the other day, always been one of my favorite missions.
It’s because of the Dream Again sequence. Absolutely beautiful.
I had seen the hammer launch before but that locust glide is sick, I was completely oblivious to everything to do with that. there is also some hilarious dialogue between 2 marines between a closed door in one of the hallways , I will find it

I like this mission but "Assault on the control room" is one of my all time favorites. I played through that mission on co op so many times back in the day.
First time I ever played halo, when I got to that brute room I’d always run out of ammo, so it took me like a week. Also, you gotta save those marines

I thunk the barracks are so cool because, even though it's a hallway, there's options for traversal with cool choices of cover and even a little bit of verticality. That's really what halo is all about for me, I hate aiming, but I LOVE moving tactically

Halo 3 Halo mission DOES have a time limit. The platforms start falling - the entire map aside from the rocks.
HOWEVER, after playing Halo 3 religiously since launch and no lifing it for 5 years straight and casually playing it for another 6 years after that, after winning a Halo 3 competition against a famous MLG guy and winning 1st place which got me a framed hand painted Destiny portrait autographed by the Bungie development team, I NEVER KNEW that you could shoot through deployable cover... until now.
All these years and STILL no one has ever shot at me through deployable cover. Every time I shot the back of it with any weapon I could have sworn it broke the cover.
So you earned a like.
We haven't seen an actual live gameplay video in awhile. Maybe you can jump into some Halo 5 Warzone and give us a good ol live gameplay vid?

Tsavo has always been my favorite. Mainly because you can either bang it out for hours, or finish it in under 5min easy.
I tried the hammer jump. It flew me across the map, and I smashed into the elevator and died

In that room at 4:30 you should have used a grave lift and go to a platform at the top there is a plasma turret detach that and jump off before they kill you and just mow them down.

theyre actually not too hard to save and its pretty useful to give them a mix of shield stripper and headshot weapons for the next room
another good thing about this mission its the perfect level for marine genocide and challenges like saving all the marines in the barracks

I love Crows Nest just because of the beginning theme.
Tbh the part with the Grav Ham brute was the hardest part of Halo 3 for me. Maybe it's because it was a shock as I had just begun legendary, but it seemed harder than even Cortana. It took me like 40 minutes to get past that part >:(

Halo 3’s entire campaign was beautiful
As you showed the game clip of the Halo CE warthog run I hear in the background the marines and Arbiter fighting lol.
I use the invisibility to arm the bomb and just completly skip the room
A random fun little gimmick if you care about getting a high score in crows nest is to get the trip mine from one of the jet brutes and keep that thing until you reach the the room with the butterfly trick shown in the video. Get through the door, place it down and when the drones are flying over it, shoot it, get a killionaire and a hell of a lot of points. I love the scoring system cause they keep me on pushing my own limits and see what I could do. Something that I love in all Halo games. I know it might be obvious for some and not be about speedruns, but hey. Its a video about how great the level is, so why not share some other kind of information! :D
It took me two hours to get through the brutes in the first part of the barracks before the drones. Longer than my entire Cortana run by a lot. Both on legendary.

I'm the room with the bomb, I like to use a cloak to help kill the brute with the fuel rod gun, and than use the fuel rod gun to finish off the room

In the beginning of the barracks part I used to grav lift up to the big pipe on the top right and just walk past the Brutes like a spy

I remember I never played this mission when I was a kid because I was too scared of the Brute Chieftain with the Gravity Hammer.
Whenever I need a break from multiplayer games in general, I pop in MCC and play Crow's Nest.
3:35 I played this mission so many times and I’ve never known about the machine gun in the corner!
The marines actually say "This base was built for some 20th-century war", but I'm not sure which war they're talking about (I'm guessing WW2?) or even if Crow's Nest is based off any real life base. It would be interesting if it is though.

The last drone x reload x melee part is difficult to me, and the jump pack brutes, they have a random chance of going somewhere stupid so it takes way longer. My best run was 10:43.
EDIT: My new time is 9:59 easy difficulty. I did everything perfectly except for the gravity hammer jump at the end. Ripppppppp. Could have been like 9:43.
Some of my best memories on this game was trying to kill all the marines in the whole mission on legendary it was so hard for me back then cause you had like 20+ marines shooting you at once lol
