    I own a 2021 TCR and this bike is a dream to ride. I dont 'get on' my bike: i WEAR the bike like a piece of garment because it is well fitted to me and responds instantly to every move i make. Every push on the pedals is instantly translated in a quick forward movement; its a 'nervous' bike and responds to every input i give it. Thats what makes it so much fun to ride!

  • @wrxzboost
    @wrxzboost 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    presentation sounds very rehearsed, robotic, and super serious. were talking about a bicycle here folks! i love the TCR . although this new bike looks identical to the TCR's of previous years, I'd bargain shop and pick up a slightly used bike a few years old for a fraction of what this bike is new. $11k for a top of the line model - yeah right.

      Also consider go for the mid tier models instead of top model- which is only~ 100g heavier and no isp seat post for more resale value+easier bike packing. The presenter definitely sound stiff and rehearsed, gives typical tech nerd image and not a native English speaker but at least they sound quite honest as a Taiwanese bike company. A lot of the US/European bike brands design and manufacture products in Asia today but almost none of them willing to have Asian presenter to promo their bikes internationally like Giant did, interesting isn't it

    The handling is sharp and sure footed- like always in TCR.
    The riding feels lively and snappy to the point you feel fun!
    The colours are great.
    The look is amazing with flowing tube shapes and lines!
    The saddle is surprisingly one of the best i had!
    The cables route is annoying a bit. Too long too much appearance.
    Overall - a delight to ride on!
    I bought the matt carbon / glow amber and its so special!
    Nice nice job Giant!!

    Ridden a lot of bikes, Colnago, Cannondale, Bianchi, Trek, Wilier, and more. I remember how special my first TCR was and how it just felt like the energy transfer from the frame to the asphalt when you pressed on the pedals! It was awesome! Great crit bike.
    I had a Team Once aluminum first. I then graduated to the carbon frames and have owned each generation of TCR up to this point. They are incredible bikes. I have owned seven TCRs total and I am sure the eighth one is coming soon. I have already told Ross at Middletown Cycling in Louisville of the coming purchase. I can't wait! I am sure it is going to be special just like all the others.

  • @SmilefitCoUk

    It’s interesting how they obviously spent thousands of man hours designing and releasing the bike to market and then a couple of hours designing the release presentation. The best bit was the emotion I felt when the ride experience was being talked about. I’d like the full tcr experience in a sensory overload. The weight to 6.5kg in an aero package is a real win for me, so I’d like to get a visual and tactile sense of the extra speed and general performance that will give me over and above my 2017 tcr. I want to feel the comfort they’re talking about from the saddle/post and bars/stem. I want to dance on the pedals and feel a burst of acceleration worthy of spending thousands of pounds on. I could upgrade my current bike, so let me hear, see, feel, smell and taste why I should.
    I’d also like to know that some issues from the past have been remedied, my bike now has different wheels, bars and saddle. I want to know that I won’t need to change half the bike after a year.

    I really wonder why giant choose not to offer a 38 cm handlebar on smaller frames, especially because they put a lot of though into it. I'm guessing purely an economical reason.

    Where do you feed the di2 cable on the TCR SL disc? There is no information on Shimano di2 system integration with the top end model. Not sure about the 30mm axle squeezed into the PF86. You're left with super tiny bearings.

    Hi Giant principal engineer. Aero bikes are now getting lighter and lighter, so what is the niche and advantage for lightweight bikes like TCR?

    • @chrisprotzman6637
      @chrisprotzman6637 4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      fs chan the TCR ride is more compliment, lighter, and more comfortable

    • @marcuscheung5025
      @marcuscheung5025 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The frame of the TCR is meant for climbing. You buy a TCR, and race it up a hill with someone with a Madone, see who wins.

    • @chrisgilligan4968
      @chrisgilligan4968 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are some aero bikes that are being put out right at UCI weight limit....but they cost a lot of dough. These are inherently lighter than a similarly priced aero bike...but the main reason is as that this bike will be much more compliant. Meaning that it will be more comfortable for longer rides. If everything you ride is 2 hours or less then buy a Propel...unless it is 2 hours of billy goat climbing, the Propel will beat out the TCR under most other circumstances.

    This whole dog and pony show is to get the "Fools", sorry, the Consumer to dig deeper into their pockets. The interviews seemed scripted and awkward as if the members memorized the Que Cards and were not speaking freely. I really don't care how much a manufacturer tries to make producing a bike frame seem like rocket science the fact is it is not and bikes should not be costing $10,000 dollars. There is some real engineering, manufacturing expense, testing and quality control that goes into a cars motor and they don't cost that much. I'll never understand I don't care how many videos like this come out.

    Nice looking bike but poor quality control or poor transport.Rear wheel has major issues right out of the box. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Rear axle is bent! Derailleur is misaligned.Since the rear wheel comes assembled I would have expected better.Assembly instructions poorly written, but that was not unexpected...just annoying.I just had the bike checked at a shop and was told that I should contact the seller about getting a whole rear wheel assembly with cartridge. (The bike shop could not do anything to help me).Not a good experience with this bike, so lesson learned.Added 3 stars for excellent customer serviceUpdate Sept 8 2020Just received a complete replacement wheel for free. Great service and an otherwise fine bike.

    How can you expect to tap the American market when designers have very limited English language skills. It certainty doesn't instill confidence in your product with so called designers speaking who have limited command of English. This entire video appears extremely contrived with insincere gestures coming across as artificial and stilted as if recited from a pigeon English monologue.
