    Merthyr Tydfil born and bred here 👋 The industrial revolution is what shaped Merthyr and gave her an identity so we've been a bit lost as a town since all the industries have dried up here. But I'm so happy I've found this channel!

    Watching this took me right back to year 10 History. I'm Loving the channel as I grew up in Barry then moved & went to secondary school in Cowbridge.

    Was raised in Newport, and I remember seeing the Chartist memorial in town, and when it was taken down. The small one on Chartist drive doesn't do it justice. Now studying 19th Century protests in South Wales for a final year Uni project. Really interesting video :)

      Thank you. And I agree about the downgrading of the memorial. It astounds me there is so little around to commemorate these moments generally.
