This is one of my top 10 episodes for sure. Spike is just awesome and the Cordelia troll is the best ever.

Spike & Joyce also have a great dynamic. Spike actually both likes and respects her, ever since she hit him with an axe... 🤣

It always amuses me how at the beginning of the episode everyone is happy and Spike shows up miserable, and at the end, Spike is super happy and everyone else is miserable. 😂 But this episode is always worth seeing how people react to the Cordelia fakeout 😁

And when watching a reaction to this one and they get to the funeral scene, I start a countdown (from 8 seems to be about right). And I'm never disappointed in the reaction. ;)
"I can't fool myself, or Spike for some reason." Spike is really good at reading people.

The stress and the way I would be insufferable if she was actually dead

at this point in his career, james marsters (spike) was rather desperate for work. so when he was asked whether he had any experience with fire stunts, he lied and said that he did. he then ended up in the emergency room after filming the scene where he wakes up on fire.

Spike, one of the greatest characters in The Buffyverse! Was great to see him back here. Lover's Walk another super episode keeping up the great quality of S3. All the relationships here are having problems Angel/Buffy, Spike/Drusilla and the Oz/Willow/Xander/Cordelia situation. Spikes monologue was very true regarding Buffy and Angel he really nailed it there. You can really see how the writing is now much more intense in that it really delves into the Psyche of each characters emotions. Season 3 is just banger after banger after banger!

20:36 BEST FAKE OUT EVER! even though it only lasts a few seconds.
Before BrVS, Charisma Carpenter had an accident that had her impaled which inspired this event.

Teenagers are going to teenage one way or another and these kids are growing up in a war zone, so I'm inclined to be even less judgmental in their case. Being abducted by a psycho and placed in a life-threatening situation is more trauma than I can imagine but for them it's nearly a common occurrence. Great reaction.

    Comment for the algorithm! 😊
Beginning of the episode: everyone else all happy, Spike sad.
End of the episode: Spike happy, everyone else all sad.
Spike, like Ethan Rayne, is an agent of chaos!
Your intro: "I hope this cheating storyline ends soon!"
Later: "I think it's gonna come out." Rubbing hands, "destroy them!"
Joss "vengeance demon" Whedon: WISH GRANTED...

@@brookereacts also, Charisma Carpenter actually has a scar on her abdomen at that location where she basically has a very similar accident when she was younger! "Carpenter has a large scar on her belly from a childhood accident; when she was five years old, Carpenter was playing around a swimming pool that was still under construction, and she fell onto a piece of rebar."

In this episode, Willow tried to turn to magic to fix things. She is tending towards relying on magic to make her life easier, rather than doing the emotional work to grow. Magic is easier for her. I wish she hadn't been interrupted when she was about to confess to Buffy earlier, that would have been a good start.

My first thought before watching the video were I hope the almost rage quiting wasn't because of how The Scooby Gang was at the end. Xander and Willow got what they deserve. Buffy and Angel did what's become necessary. Even Spike is happy and healthy in the relationship of a soulless creature. The two I feel bad for are the two who did broke up with their significant others because said significant others are cheaters): Cordelia and Oz.
My thoughts after the video were I thought Spike didn't do anything wrong nor screw anything up with the relationships of the group. The group have done that on their own. All this #@%& with both couples would've hit the fan eventually even if Spike never showed up, and thank god you didn't take out what I'm realizing was the near rage quit in the Cordelia moment of her temporary death, but not really death.

I immediately assumed the almost rage quit was the Cordy death fake-out. 😂
      Epic trolling by the writers...

Was a joke but yeah defiantly was the funeral fake out! I would of needed a few days before I recorded lol

I love the scene with Spike and Willow, he needs her, so can't hurt her so instead opens up to her. They should have had more scenes together, just those two, nobody else.
Cordy does look fantastic, even lying in a hosptal bed with no make-up.

The actors have great on screen chemistry! I feel like they make a great comedic duo. I also feel Cordy would look good in a potato sack lol
