@@od3rflaAnd then Toei/the filmmakers behind DBS Broly apparently dug the energy so much, they included similar "fight music" chanting into tracks. Which isn't new but it's still so cool and fun. You love to see it, and it's another big reason why that movie is one of my favorite pieces of Dragon Ball media period.
I understand how Holden feels now being a dad. I went through the same thing myself. I'd seen Disney's Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey numerous times before having a family and knew the whole movie practically by heart. But the first time I watched it after having kids, seeing the scene where the little girl is lost in the woods, alone and scared and seeing the search party with the parents crying . . . it wrecked me!
Fun fact: The clownfish hierarchy is made up of 3 classes. The dominant is the female, the largest is on top, the male, the second largest, and the smallest males are non breeders are on at the bottom. If the female dies, the middle fish, which is the male changes sex and moves up becoming the new female while one of the non breeders moves up as well. So…. Marlin is really Nemo’s new mom.
I saw this in the sixth grade. This was around the time I thought Disney was for kids *I was a kid😄*, I was into anime and the gritty 80s/90s cartoons lol. We weren't doing any work in class that day, it might have been close to the end of the year or a holiday. Our teacher was praising it and put it on, everyone else was in diff parts of the room doing their own thing, I was glued to the screen. This movie changes my mind. I was speachless, I dont think I even said anything to my teacher afterwards I think out of both embarrassment and my mind reprocessing the fallacies I had believed, but the shock was written on my face. Till this day this is one of my fav movie and in my top 3 of Pixar movies. Incredibles, TS & TS3( I group those together 🙂), and Finding Nemo.
So long as the video is correctly labeled, I've zero problem watching along to rewatches. It only irks me when I'm expecting content A based on the video title, but turns out it's content B.
Yes! Thank you for watching this movie, I’ve seen this many times when I was a kid. Thank you for watching it again and I really appreciated being the comment of the day for Coco!!!
I remember it took me awhile to see that when Marlin picked up Nemo as an egg, the egg has a scratch on it. The scratch is the same side as Nemo's lucky fin. Attention to detail is just fantastic
This movie is such a masterpiece. There is underlying meaning behind every single line and event that happens. The whale scene specifically is so profound to me. I always get emotional when Dory says, “It’s time to let go,” because it serves as a metaphor for Marlin to let go of his trauma from the death of his wife and most of his kids. Even the way the line is delivered shows intent - slow, clear and assertive. And then Marlin’s response being, “How do you know something bad isn’t gonna happen?” which symbolizes his fear of letting go of what he’s holding on to. It’s literally like a therapist and client having a conversation. If you watch the scene from that angle, you see all of it with a completely different lens. It is a very carefully constructed movie as everything ties together so perfectly with the intent of a deeper meaning. It blows my mind how well done this movie is. Great reaction! I knew Jen would love it!!
It’s a myth that urinating on a jellyfish sting helps. What actually helps is getting as hot of water you can stand on a rag or towel and putting it on the affected area. Hot water neutralizes the venom and is the best way to treat it quickly.
I remember going to see this and the theater accidentally loaded Bruce Almighty. They finally realized it by the time it got to the "Back to you, f*&kers!" part of that movie 🤣🤣🤣
the scene at the beginning was meant to be a flashback near the middle/end of the movie, but test audiences would absolutely hate Marlin for most of the film, not understanding why he was acting so protective- so they literally just put it at the beginning and it made audiences completely sympathize with him. such a smart movie
This might not be Pixar's best movie anymore, but it's their best soundtrack and I STAND BY IT. It's absolutely beautiful. I got goosebumps right when you guys started!
I can remember watching this for the first time over 20 years ago in like 03/04. I was 14 I guess. My parents had gone out and my middle brother put it on for him and me in our front room. Great film and great vid! Stressy times atm so this nostagia trip was much appreciated!
Welcome to the community Holden!! Since you are a new member you get the all-inclusive Mexican package!! But all jokes aside you are hilarious and over all great dude! Never change! Siempre vasa tener nuestros corazones
Crush is voiced by director Andrew Stanton, while Squirt is voiced by Nick Bird, the son of The Incredibles director Brad Bird (in which Nick also voiced Rusty the bike boy).
Holy crap, Holden being accepted into the Hispanic community is like Roman Reigns making Sami Zayn an Honorary Uso. Being Honduran and Mexican myself, I approve of the idea of Holden an honorary Hispanic 🎉 Mother Jen, come on don't be a party pooper 😅 Holden got that Latino Heat 🔥
I did not notice Nemo had a little fin until waaay into the movie 😂 I remember seeing this in theaters and when Dory started speaking whale 🐋 I laughed so freaking loud I was little embarrassed 😅 Such a great movie. Absolutely still holds up.
I’d love y’all to continue your Pixar journey with Onward! It’s one of my favorite movies and it gets overlooked far too often. If Finding Nemo hits you hard as a dad, Onward will hit even harder.
I live in Germany but have an aunt in the US and she used to sent me DVDs for Christmas or my birthday. Obviously these films were all in English and my native language is German. So when she sent me finding Nemo, about a couple of weeks before it was released in Germany actually for whatever reason, I and a neighboring friend were probably the first German kids who ever saw it and we didn’t understand a single word! I actually learned English with it and other Pixar movies watching them frequently as my English improved. But I have yet to see it now when my English has become fairly good and I can understand all the puns and references. It’ll be a whole different experience. Gonna watch it this weekend.
'Finding Nemo' and 'Coco'. Both excellent movies. Pixar had a true knack for creating movies that pulled at the heartstrings. Among others worth checking out are 'Up', 'Wall-E' and 'Turning Red'.
Bruce is voiced by late Barry Humphries who was best known for his skits as Dame Edna Everage and Sir Les Patterson, and he voiced and motion captured The Great Goblin in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. Chum is voiced by Bruce Spence, best known for playing The Gyrocopter Pilot in Mad Max 2: Road Warrior and Mad Max 3. He also played The Mouth of Sauron in The Extended Edition of The Lord of the RIngs: Return of the King, Tion Medon in Star Wars Epsiode III: Revenge of the Sith, the Trainman in The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions and Lord Rhoop in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Dawn Treader.
It was definitely the turning point for Pixar, the moment they went from being a studio that made great animated films to an absolute titan of the industry, and the start of a golden age that ran until Toy Story 3 in 2010. It's not my absolute favourite of their works, but it's still a gorgeously animated flick, often very funny and also devastatingly emotional - the first few notes of that Thomas Newman theme is all you really need to get the waterworks going
Finding Nemo is by far one of Pixar's most classic films they made. I remember watching this movie so many times when I was a kid. Finding Dory was pretty good though, but in my opinion, Finding Dory didn't have that same charm like the first film.
I was first able to watch this film back in 2018 when my son was 2 yrs old. Never knew this was an emotional movie until that time. Then I watched Cars in that same year. I did not expect to cry for these movies but I did. 🤣
The funny thing is that they could have chosen any kind of fish. They decided on the type of fish that turns into a hermaphrodite if the female is killed.
My cousin went to school with Andrew Stanton and Paula Cole. Talk about a weird combination. Paula Cole had some flash success with a couple of hit songs, with one being made the them of Dawson's Creek. Andrew Stanton and his brother were incredible natural artists. The inside jokes from growing up in Rockport/fishing industry are great. The actor that was suppose to do the voice of the turtle didn't show up. Stanton stepped in and did the voice. My cousin says every time she hears the voice she is back in high school because he use to do that voice of a surfer dude in class.

Hi holden and jen found your channel month ago and love all your videos and the dogs and jen when holden make a dirty joke call him a mucky puppy aka dirty minded 😂
There is a video game version of this story, kinda. I Am Fish (sequel to the smash indie hit, I Am Bread) is a puzzle game about a little fish trying to escape to the ocean by swimming in a glass ball. Definitely based around part of this movie. While fun and engaging, when you make a mistake, the ball breaks. A slow fade away as the little fish gasps for water. Not to terrible, unless you get stuck on a spot and watch a little cartoon fish 💀 over and over. I always found it interesting.
The nightmarish looking fish with the little light attached to it is the Deep Sea Angler fish. It uses its bioluminescensant light to lure unsuspecting prey into its mouth.
quick little fun fact: Finding Dory is indeed the sequel, but not due to the fan-favorite character, but rather because Finding Nemo 2 was cancelled (where-in Marlene is taken away and Nemo must go find him)
Sorry Jen, but Holden Hombreduro is spot on with the "it's the Hispanic on the inside" that counts part 😂 As a Mexican American, I solemnly and wholeheartedly encourage his behavior to continue 🙌🏽
So much fun rewatching this, if you want another real father-son tearjerker check out 'About Time'. With Domhnall Gleeson, Rachel McAdams and Bill Nighy, as well as it being one of Margot Robbie's first film appearances.
Fun fact , when Bruce started crying about that he never met his father , it's a real thing about sharks when the female give birth to the baby shark the male leaves and never come back

Jen's only watched Finding Nemo once in her childhood? Holden's Hispanic? What a video.
Things are coming out man.... What an Episode.
I love how Holden’s reference for time since a movie came out is how close it is to Spider-Man 2’s release
It's like a new variation of "six degrees of Kevin Bacon"
Yeah same for me man
The intro about the mexican bit is probably one of my favorite bits to date 😅😅
I find it hilarious that his acceptance into our hispanic community is based off his loving Dragonball and i love it 😂

“Oh my gosh how do they get him back!?”
“Uh that’s kinda the premise of the movie… finding Nemo” 😂😂😂
It’s kinda funny. In real life, clownfish are one of the most aggressive fish you can have in a tank. They attack any finger that enters the water
Also how they reproduce

I recently played Crush in our schools musical of finding Nemo. That experience made me realize how great of a movie this is
That sounds so fun! I'm sure you made lots of great memories!! 🐢 🌊

Hopefully we get Holden crying for the first time. Like he said. It’ll hit different now he has a son.
