- Once mocked for its lack of quality smoked meats, NYC has finally become a serious contender on the national BBQ scene. But does it have the chops to appease two Texas locals? In the hopes of gaining some perspective, Sean Evans enlists the help of Barbara Dunkelman and Burnie Burns-two of the visionaries behind Austin-based production company Rooster Teeth. At Fletcher’s in Brooklyn, chef Matt Fisher is busy combining Southern cooking techniques with international flavors, creating a barbecue style that’s distinctly New York. This was a great idea with my fellow Texans from Roosterteeth. I like that the chef acknowledged that he took a mix of techniques to make his style. I think the biggest thing for me is the moistness and tenderness, which is achieved with the 18 hr smoking (always done with Texas BBQ).
I'm not really a BBQ guy at all but this shit looks good!

That all looks pretty good, but IMO the true test of good BBQ is the pork ribs and the pulled pork. Also, a good selection of well made sauces that pair well with the rubs.
Some people like their BBQ sweet, some like it tangy, some like it spicy, good BBQ places have their own house sauces to give that in addition to the dry rub without overpowering the meat.
Now get Cow Chop on Hot Ones. Let’s Aleks and Bret feel the heat and fury of the last Dab.

Hippy Jon They brand it "Alternative Lifestyle Vlogs". Basically, it's vlogs where Steven Suptic narrates his inner dialogue and there's an overarching story developping through the episodes. They do comedy skits like you said and there's a lot of inside jokes from previous episodes and people saying ridiculous things :P I understand that it would be hard to get into if you don't watch from near the beginning because the personas that they created for themeselves were developped ver early in the show. On their channel, they have playlists labeled season 1 and season 2 so it's easy to figure out where to start. You get really attached to the characters and it's really funny (imo). If you don't have time to watch from the beginning I would suggest starting at the beginning of season 2.

Daddy_ Danni Rooster Teeth is a production company now who have a few channels; Lets Play which is run by 6 guys who play just about anything and are hilarious; Achievement Hunter which is the guide to getting achievements in games and gaming news updates and they have subsidiary channels they signed like Funhaus, Cow Chop etc. RT, Lets Play, Achievement Hunter and Funhaus are all worth watching if you enjoy games
