Great bit of sailing my friend,if you need a place to launch, try parking at car park behind Adur recreation centre, and using our slip way at ACA club,it's a private club, but lots of canoes use our slip way,I have a,boat on our moorings there
I know it. Would be nice to use that as it would be usable over a wider range of tide than emerald Quay I reckon. I did launch her off of the lighthouse beach a couple of times in the summer around low water, that was hard work dragging back up the stones! Thanks for watching.
@@backtothebarky May see you down our slipway then,I am working on my boat there it's up on blocks, just a 5metre open beach boat, but it's ideal for going up river
Yes I want to go down the Arun from Pulborough. Done it many times as far as Haughton on a small rib and up steam in a speedboat from Littlehampton but would love to sail it one day.
@@backtothebarky the upper section is lovely. Arundel to La, not so good. Have paddled it by canoe in both directions many times, even did it in a cast iron bath once for the bath tub race. Loads of fun, I shall look forward to your video, when opportunity strikes!
Thanks for taking us on your adventure. Worth the effort 👍 🍻

That's got me hankering for another mirror dinghy to potter about in on the broads
I'd love to take mine there one day. Been round most of it with my trailer sailers. Which part you thinking would be good for a mirror?
@@backtothebarky Used to sail on Wroxham broad as a teenager, many, many years ago .
Great vid mate, a lot of dinghy sailors don’t bother with the Adur cos of those bridges, but not the Barky!
Only tide and time can stop the Barky :D
Really the only thing🤔
Good to see you back out in the Barky! Will we see you in LA on the Arun next?
