  • This is the part of PIP where literally everyone misses out on points. Do you have any helping you out? Does anyone nag you to remind you to take your meds?
Does anyone encourage you? Does anyone assist you with Physio? All of this is REALLY IMPORTANT when claiming for PIP.
Please make sure you watch this guide.

    WHO AM I:
My name is Charlie and I am disabled. I live with chronic illness, I have a severe form of Psoriatic Arthritis and its crap! I am in pain all the time and always battling fatigue. BUT, I will not let it win. I love to learn and to laugh (even though it hurts my arthritic rib cage LOL). You will often see Ollie (she) my black Labrador. She is currently my trainee assistance dog! We are together, literally ALL the time.
As there are a number of awful people who target us - the vulnerable - here is a link to my personal LinkedIn account. You can literally see the past 25+yrs of my career, people who have recommended me (as a Logistician as Disability Specialist is very new for me).

Please know, I would love to reply to all of your comments but I cannot reply AND film new videos, write the weekly newsletter and work with clients. If I could, I really would reply to you all.

Hi everyone, here is a link to my weekly newsletter, I am adding a PIP section due to the increase in questions/feedback, please feel free to check it out if you are interested:

  • @MickeyFKNMouse

    Just had my phone assessment.

  • @Earthismadeoflayers

Thank you for your videos. I was literally dying on the road last year and only survived because a woman from the charity Mind helped me get housing, medical appointments and apply for PIP. I never got the full amount I should, and have been highly discouraged to do the reconsideration because apparently they will just cease it altogether and that's that forever.

  • @richardajoy79

Even though I wrote need an aid, like the pill dosette and prompting, like alarms to remind me to take the meds, those kind people at the DWP still say nil pois... what a lovely bunch of a-holes.

  • @maxximumb

Another key point is to make sure you use the phrase, or something like it, 'I can't consistently or reliably perform this activity' Some of the assessors are sympathetic but there are some who seem to be on a mission to stop you getting PIP. By using this phrase you are letting them know that your ability to perform task or activities varies. It is unambiguous and an unscrupulous assessor can't make it sound like you can do the activity.

Did I hear you say something about food and way to much sugar , then drink lucozade... I'm t2d, with copd and minor arthritis..I've been following Dr Berry, Dr Berg, and followed and watched and listened to improve my life style.. its working..main thing with me is carbs and super.. I've done this to get off the govements mess. I've lost 2 stone down to 14.5 stone... reduce inflammation, feel more active less pain diabetes is manged blood pressure managed.. My point is if your well and active you feel better, can work and live a normal life...and anjoy it..Good luck with your endeavour.

Hi Charlie, bless you for making these videos. I'm so frightened of the whole process. How can I best say that I'm supposed to get physical therapy for cervical stenosis and PT for another condition, but because I can't access transport, either by someone taking me or public transport which I can't get to? How can I show the time I'm meant to have therapy when I can't even get there please? I can't drive myself anymore. Pain, weakness, poor co-ordination, poor grip, etc. I don't even have a wheelchair. This whole thing is terrifying. I applied for PIP a couple of years ago after an orthopaedic operation went wrong and left me unable to walk much, plus I have very low blood oxygen. I failed. No points. It crushed me, I didn't appeal because I suffer from depression and anxiety, which I never even mentioned. But now I'm hit by a bombshell of cervical stenosis with severe myelopathy and radiculopathy on both sides. C3 to C7. Thank you.

  • @siroyal2040

  • @KimWilliams-vz6sy

Thanks for the advice video Charlie my mom reminds me to take my medications I have mining meds and night time meds

  • @MsVivian99

Dear Lord, I hope you do not lose your home. How distressing.

  • @alextownsend77

Hi Charlie, When I took meds for ADHD last year and I was in the application process for PIP at the same time I had problems with the medication screwing around with my already sensitive personality, I lost two and a half stone in 8 weeks. In my current situation with no support whatsoever I found taking medication to be completely unmanageable so I had no choice but to stop it and it's disappointing to say the tribunal scored me nothing despite the fact I do have troubles managing therapies. From what I understand none of this is seen as difficulty managing....

  • @amandascott3768

Just found you - my mate suggested you. Thank u soon much

  • @therezahall8573

Hi Charlie. Duloxetine is actually an anti depressant, not a drug for protection of the stomach. It can also be prescribed for nerve pain too. Just thought I'd point this out having spotted it on the LC review template xx

  • @thestonedudes8538
