@@DirtGarage you have no idea, this was my main vehicle and I stopped driving it because I couldn't figure it out. I drove a backup Nissan pickup I have and that just broke down so I started to take another look at what was going on with my clutch. You made my day, week, year. You rock and I will be watching all of your videos and let the commercials play. Thank you again!
All I have is a stick welder but I managed to get some extra metal in there to strengthen it and only melted a couple holes in that thin metal.

You can get the pens for primer, maybe even etch primer, oil based paint, and clearcoat.
I use the pens whenever I drill a new hole in my car, that isn't a ground.
The oil based pens would keep the M/cyl enlarged hole from rusting, which could be an issue if you offroad it, or plan on keeping it.

I'm about to go do this now...The bracket part, mine is cracked too. You may wan't to consider modifying the title of your video since this appears to be a common problem with these trucks/4runners. Anyway, this is a great video, there is another one on here where they guy dropped the steering column but you didn't so that's great info to have going in.

Nice job... I had this popping noise on one of my yotas when I pushed the clutch in.... could never figure out what it was.. cant tell you how many master and clutch cylinders I did.... Must be nice to have bigger tires and a lift kit when you are working under the dash,,, I've done a few in my time in vehicles that were normal height with no lift... maybe I Should have jacked it up or put it up on ramps.. its a pain workin on your knees on something under the dash like this...Its also a lot of neck strain with the drviers seat in the way...

Maybe a bit of a glossary is in order, it really helps describing things as opposed to “pull the little pin holding the big pin”
Maybe try “pull the cotter pin holding the clevis pin”.
English is such a useful and descriptive language!

looks easy tjanks for the video. I gotta do my 2005 Hilux which has a soft clutch, hoping it's just air in the line and not the clutch itself. How do you bleed the system after the reinstall of the master and slave, and, is it a two person job?

god damnit I just went through the same thing to find out my pedal assembly cracked...in the same spot. I ended up drilling through the firewall and running a bolt and nut to tighten back into place. I felt so dumb when I found it. I even dropped the trans and replaced the clutch, granted it needed a new clutch anyway.

Depending on model, those slave line fittings can be too tightly spaced to get much leverage on.

Hey great tutorial, thanks for the video but why are you not in Hollywood? you look like Chris Pratt you could be his double or something! LOL, good video!...I am replacing these in a 2004 Toyota Corolla as part of general mechanic overhaul, unfortunately on that year and models the studs are not part of the firewall as here but part of the part itself which made it a PITA to get it out; also the space is tucked in on the engine bay; I had to take off the brake master and power booster, as one unit to be able to get the clutch master out and on the other side under the dash it was impossible to reach those bolts for the clutch master so I ended up uninstalling the whole dashboard, including steering removal, several hours to do because in the space under dash board no tool could be get in there no matter how I tried plus the position was killing me, once I got the dashboard out of the way and also the fuse box I could access the nuts with a long 1/4 extension and a swivel, the manual does not explains this but I think the way it was engineered is moronic and unnecessary even for a trained mechanic, now that I got the dashboard out I am tempted to replace the evaporator as well for my AC which blows hot air but I know compressor works ok and so the relay as they were tested; low freon due to a leak somewhere in an system that have been on for all these years maybe calls for maintenance replacement. Today I am putting back the clutch master and brake power booster with its master cylinder, then had the wrong part for the slave cylinder, just ordered at Amazon, same OEM parts AISIN, on one note this would have been even more difficult if the engine was in the bay as the engine is sitting in my garage almost ready to drop back in, so at least I have plenty of space on the engine bay side which is why I thought it would be good idea to replace clutch hydraulics as clutch was replaced as well.
