Loooooks waaaay better then before. Good job 👍👍👍 my front bumper was off for weeks, since I got the upper and lower parts painted, and was neglecting on doing it lol it was a mission but , leveled it too and has a slight sag. But all bolts lined up, so 🤷♂️🤷♂️ all good.
I have the same truck my bumper is touching the grill and left side is a over a inch passed the fender then the right side. Might mess with sunday it's very annoying looking I just bought the truck and didn't notice it till 3 days later
Hi, I’ve got a 2000 Silverado with the nv3500 5 speed. It is very whiny when driving .I’ve noticed that this transmission doesn’t seem to be near as loud as mine, if it has any noise at all. Did you remedy the noise somehow? Or is this a different transmission? I’ve thought about overfilling the transmission about a quart or two when I go to change the oil to see if that helps. Any advice?
It's probably just luck that mine doesn't whine and yours does, I've had 3 of these trucks with the nv3500 with no whine. I'm not sure about overfilling it but make sure you're using the right synchromesh fluid.
What I did on mine is put some washers between the bumper and frame brackets to close the bumper gap some more, keep adding washers until you get the preferred gap you like.. thank me later..
I used a jack and a piece of wood to level mine. I slid a block just in front of the passenger tow hook and jacked it up until it looked pretty good. Took about 3 times to slowly bend everything back into alignment. For the sides, I did the same thing on the brackets on each side. There's a bunch of videos of people doing that. I took the lazy way out but it worked.
@@TyBrink Right on. Whatever works is good to go. I still took off the grill and loosened the 2 center bolts, thinking I could just lean on it a bit. Man, that didn't work at all. lol
I took them off planning to do a little paint work where they would be in the way but never got around to it. I put them back on now because I didn't have a good place to store them lol
MINE GOT HIT IN ABOUT THE SAME AREA AND IT PUSHED THE BUMPER INTO THE OIL COOLER WHICH THEN WAS PUSHED INTO THE A/C CONDENSER AND DESTROYED IT. NO MORE NOTICEABLE THAN WHAT YOU HAD. $500 LATER... BUMPER WAS PUSHED TO THE RIGHT SIDE AND VERY CLOSE TO TIRE. I AM PROBABLY GOING TO REPLACE WITH A HEAVIER AFTERMARKET. THANKS FOR YOUR TIME ON THE VIDEO. PROBABLY HIT BY A HITCH BALL.
Yeah you can crawl under the truck and release the tabs from the inside with a pliers. Squeeze the tabs while you pull on the plastic, it's not fun but that's how I did mine. Also taking the bumper off is really not hard either.
Thanks! How did you break yours? My also flairs out a little on the sides like that but looks like just from weathering or warp. Going to try to get it to sit tighter on the sides after I paint it. What primer base and clear did you use
@@UnhappyDuramax this was one of the first things I ever did to this truck way back in like 2014 so I'm not sure what primer I used. You either have to sand off the texture first or fill it in with high build primer, mine still shows some texture. My dad was friends with body shop guys back then so i got high quality ppg base and clear from them.
Did great son! Only you and body shop people would even notice before you fixed it but now it’s perfect. Don’t bump those polls in front of stores because it doesn’t take much
The avalanche that came with plastic cladding all across the bottom has a different bumper, that one probably won't fit without a lot of modifications. The normal avalanche one is exactly the same as the Silverado.
@@Jdz716 the 03-06 should all be the same, it just depends which style it is. Some of them look just like the Silverado and some have plastic on the sides. The front bumper, grille and headlights are different.
Keep posting videos bro i also have a silverado 04 4x4 reg cab short bed only mine is an auto trans. I got the same 20" wheels like yours but i put some 33x12.50r20 and holy cow looks so freakin mean .. Blessings from mexico ! Saludos
nice video man, i have those exact headlights but mine must be a different brand. i’ve had them less than a year and they completely turned yellow and started have little cracks all over them. Yours seem like they’ve held up really well, what brand did you go with?
They are just the generic Chinese ones off of Ebay, the only marking says Feberg or something like that on the lenses. I put extra silicone around the the edges when I bought them but I did have a little moisture in the marker lights one time.

This is BEYOND ironic.. I’m leveling mine this weekend and I’ve been putting it off for like a year 😅
Haha I've had this truck for like 7 years just never made myself do it.
@@TyBrink Hows it going? When will remote shifters be up for sale again?
She sounds amazing! What exhaust setup are you running?
3" straight pipe after the stock manifolds and cats. 4" dual corsa style tip

Love the updates. Keep em coming

Dang, ok. Appreciate the response. Sweet truck by the way.
My friend what tipe of a muffler do you have on The truck
If you still have badges on your truck can you measure them I’m trying to restore mine to factory too
Perfect up front buddy!!
Good job brother ! Need more videos !!!

I'm not going to make it any tighter than this, I like the way it looks with about 1" gap. They come from the factory around 1 to 1.5" gap.

I did the same on a different truck that was sagging like crazy, but I just felt like taking the bumper off this one to see what was going on.

Hey, when will you be making remote shifters? Very interested in getting a camaro remote mount shifter.
Why did you remove the painted fender flares? Preferred the look without?

Man I'm not trying to raise money up I'm trying to bring it forward. Passenger side is back a little too far and new tire rubs when I turn
bunch of videos on how to add some led strip while they’re open (fogs)
How do you take off the plastic upper cover you have color matched?
Can you take it off without removing bumper?

Were have you been?
Busy with work, moving into a new house. I just haven't been doing anything to the truck to make any videos.
How are the auxbeam headlights treating you?
Also glad to see the uploads look forward to seeing videos on your truck clean and simple!
I don't drive this truck a ton and hardly at all at night but they're still working good.
@@TyBrink so are mine! Bought the same ones with your code.
Where did you get the seats for your truck
They are the stock seats with replacement leather upholstery from leatherseats.com

Do you know what color they are
@@00-rado dark graphite. The recommended color to match this truck is graphite. I chose one shade darker.

Nice video but it would really help people by telling them the size of the sockets you used.
For 4.8 it sounds pretty good about as loud as my 6.0
Your phone sound youst like mine made me me look for a notification 😂😂
Mine is not leveled I have one side a little lower than the other.
It's amazing how many of these trucks have a crooked front bumper.
Do you ever plan on selling your Silverado
No I don't think I will ever sell this one.
Is this for sale?
No sorry
Nice truck
Man if mine was like this id be happier than a sissy in boys town!
My hood is misaligned my lights are tweaked and bumper lopsided 😔
Great video bro keep them comeing 👍
