The rebar is one of the best , strong and reliable to use , used on every job every day , strong and simple , the tools on the inside no issue , you can and I have cut my self opening the blades on the wave , as my thumb catches the edge of the blade , but the rebar is in many ways a better system , easy to use , good tool set but if it had the same tools as the blast it would be outstanding ,
I have one in Coyote brown with black coated tools. I carry it in a kydex Clip&carry sheath. It's stiff to open and close to access the tools. Will get better over time.
I have 2 Rebars so I obviously like them. Why LM wouldn’t add an icon denoting the fine blades location, and the serrated blades location on the opposite handle, is a wasted improvement/betterment opportunity. Of course, Ive learned in time that the standard blade is located behind the inch side ruler, and the serrated blade behind the CM rules but there IS plenty of real estate for a small blade pictogram to have been added. Applies other LM models too. Nice video sir, about a nice (my favorite) LM multitool.
I'm glad you enjoyed the video! It's about a 50/50 chance I get the right blade out, the Rebar is great but I don't use the knives specifically often enough to remember. I agree a little symbol would be appreciated and there's no real reason not to!
Use the rebar everyday fantastic tool cutters need to lose the back bit that stops it cutting fully especially on cable ties. And as you said the Phillips driver is very good.
@@ygolot1013 So you mean useless in terms of not being very good? The one on my Rebar is pretty impressive, I cut through galvanised steel tentpegs with it no problem.
It's absolute shit. So stiff that have to use bench vice to close the handles. Despite using diamond one micron paste on them. Do NOT but leatherman their qc has gone to shit.
Truly, I am a QC inspector at a pharmaceutical packaging plant, and the first thought I had after the plier handle was refusing to close and sticking on my brand-new Rebar was "who on earth PASSED these!"...
What do you think of the Leatherman Rebar?
Awesome 😎😎😎
I own 2 of them….I guess I think very highly of them!
@@Gogogordy1 Either that or I have a bridge to sell you 🤣
@@gearedforward if you saw my knife and Leatherman collection youd know I cant afford pants for a piss ant anymore!

I filed down the inside of the handles to remove the rattling when closed.
Excellent mod!
Agreed, built like a tank
My handles fell off !
Oh my, do you mean they came off the pliers head or something else? Did you warranty it?

The wire cutter is useless, atleast in my area.
It's definitely very situational, you may either never need it or may need to jump to a dedicated tool.
Actually it's the thing that I use mostly, i cut wires every time, I'm in construction work by the way.

Sadly I've noticed a distinct trend over the years of Leathermans prices increasing and their quality control becoming lax to say the least.
