This channel is so well created. The opening bumper was nicely thought out and designed; The route navigation preview on a phone map; The actual route footage; etc. Hey, by the way, as you might tell from my handle, I was born & raised in NYC, Manhattan, NYC, living on 125th Street & Amsterdam Avenue. So, when I wasn't boarding the A, D, B, C lines (on 125th St @ 8th Avenue), I would board the 1 line (on 125th St @ Broadway). Or, I would take a bus. 😊
Really enjoyed the ride, especially love when the stops are on the screen, even the skipped stations. I wish all of the different train rides were that way. Thank you for posting these wonderful segments. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Thank you for including the local stations bypassed by the express. Hopefully, older videos can be revised to include this helpful and informative information.
Ahh. My 2nd favorite train route (after the J). Takes me to my home station, 111 St-Greenwood Av. Going on 40 years enjoying this view. Thanks for another great upload.
Outstanding Video especially with the graphics and camera location. Can't wait to come to New York for my maiden voyage on the R211's even though I'm saddened that it is replacing the R46's-one of my favorite train models growing up in NYC in the '80's.

Yes. The Rockaways. I love riding the r211 especially during the stretch between JFK and Broad Channel. It literally flies! It’s such an amazing experience.
I just also realised out of all the modern rolling stock the R211 is the one without traction motors on the trucks/bogeys in the front ends compared to recent videos where the camera was mounted on an r142 r160 and the r179 resulting in the enhanced aesthetic of the rail joints clickety-clacking through the historic corridors! 😌😌💓💓
Please be the November (N) train. You haven’t done the N train yet yeah you did it but it went via the Delta (D) line. Would love to see the sea beach line!
Smoothest ride on rails! The new R-211's do not have that annoying three-tone squeal when they go from one stop to the next. The newest addition to the subway fleet fly along the tracks swiftly, the viewer doesn't feel it! I liked the addition of the skipped stops and seeing the local trains racing alongside the express, then slowing up for their local stop while the express sails past! I'm looking forward to riding the R-211 trains on my next visit to New York. This video was a great preview of what to expect on the A train or any other route the new trains are assigned. Thanks for the ride guys!
Personally my favorite route is either A, C, E, or Q, considering that 34th Street/Penn IND is the main station close to the hotel I always go to, while Q is an easy transfer to Brooklyn
I recommend you turn off auto fps in the iPhone settings, it makes the video look a lot worse when the camera FPS drops in half, making some parts look smooth, and some look rough.
For those wondering why C trains short-turn at Euclid instead of merging with the A like in the Cranberry Tunnel and then branching off to Lefferts, most riders from Lefferts want an express service. So if the C ran there instead, almost all passengers would transfer to the A as soon as they can. This is why the A splits up, which makes it the only service to have more than one branch outside of rush hours. And now you may be wondering why the Rockaway and Lefferts branches don’t use different designations. That’s because different designations would only benefit eastbound riders bound for a station on either branch and all other riders would not have any benefits from it. Also, both services would run 100% the same in both Manhattan and Brooklyn which many may fail to notice that there is no difference. It would, however, also benefit non-English speakers heading to JFK Airport and designating the late night Lefferts Shuttle, since it would be its own letter like the 5 and M instead of variably a gray A or blue S.
Are there any other stations in the system where the outer track - or whatever the track closest to the wall is called - is the Express Track? (168th St). I'm guessing that there are very few.
how common is it catch an R211 train? im thinking of potentially taking a weekend trip to nyc sometime if i can get a cheap flight for the primary purpose of riding the subway and trying to catch one
