Chris Packham is definitely one of the very best.
I like this guy! He's really calm and he's not going extreme by putting the animals on Jimmy making him scared or uncomfortable. Don't get me wrong, Jeff was cool too.

Chris Packham is a veteran of natural history broadcasting. Reminds me of my childhood seeing him on ‘The Really Wild Show’. Good to see him furthering his career in the US.
Met Chris Packham a few times and photographed wild dolphins on a beach in Scotland with him. He's a cool guy.

He went from kind of low key budget productions to lots of series and show appearances.
Chris packham absolute legend to any Brit who grew up in the 90s and actually to anyone who cares probably the only one of these wildlife people to appear on late night shows to spit some serious knowledge.
Yea normally the people who bring these animals into an unfamiliar environment just do it to make people laugh without actually educating anyone. They also tend to be super loud stressing these already potentially dangerous animals out even more. So being calm like Chris is a much better approach
This guy may be "boring" compared to Jeff, but he handles the animals better, keeps them calmer and isn't obnoxious. Even Jimmy was calmer and more curious about the animals than he ever was with Jeff simply because this guy was more interested in actually educating instead of being loud (making the animals nervous) and trying to be funny. When it comes to animal segments that use live exotic animals, the calm-and-educated approach is a far better and safer way to do things.

this guy is better than the other. he's calm, but he's also funny and able to put Jimmy just a little bit on edge. plus, there's something about a large man shrieking around asked animals that I just think it's so incredibly dangerous, haha

I love porcupines. I had a close encounter with one just a couple weeks ago while out in the woods with my dad. It waddled across the road and thought that if it hid under a fern, I couldn't see it. It had its butt pointed at me and I just kept talking to him and every once in awhile he would slowly turn his head to look at me. As soon as I got done taking a couple of pictures and having a chat with it, it wandered back into the woods. So freakin cute!

It's a big change from Jeff to be honest, but this Chris Packman isn't bad by any means.
He's a very smart and and very entertaining man, is Chris Packham. Very passionate about what he does and he tells it like it is to the viewer. He doesn't try to sugar-coat things or anthropomorphise the animals. He released his autobiography recently, might be worth checking out.

I remember as a kid in the 90's, reading about and being fascinated by gila monsters being venomous. Then later in the 2000s when they discovered komodo dragons were venomous, when previously they thought their mouths were just so full of bacteria it caused massive infection. But now to hear that there are 500 known venomous lizards is wild. I never heard about that, but you bet I'm gonna be reading about it for some time now. How the venoms work, their potential purpose, potency, differences between species. I've got a treasure trove of information to go through. :D
