It’s like people at Barmouth have never seen a level crossing in their life, some of them who walk so aimlessly over the crossing, they seem so surprised when the barrier starts to come down and almost hit them on the head I feel like saying “it’s your own fault…”

Funny an ahbc crossing can fail all together if a barrier gets stuck for the whole train crossing period on a car lorry or van and actually it is a fault system because ahbc aren’t human controlled and it isn’t programmed to deal with train and van at once and once it’s done the next time it will fail because the van glitched it which make it think either a cars there or there no train which could result to failed Barriers

That's such a strange layout, imagine how much a pain it would be to have the barrier come down and you don't even want to cross the tracks.

0:01. This happens alot here in the US. It always ends up with the gate getting broken. Once a railroad crossing gate got stuck on a traffic light.

I think network rail are going to add more safety/security features to every crossing in the country because of this
when the gate fails I think you should use the phone and call the signaller to let them know about it so nobody gets hurt

Most of the "hangmans" look like they're caused by him running up close to the barrier and triggering the proximity sensor.
No the driver stops the barriers, no sensors involved unless it has radars between the tracks.
