That '62 was originally a 283 PG car. They are very desirable. It would not take much to assemble the missing emblems, tail lights , and front end pieces. They are available from dozens of sources new and used. The floor's are usually the weak point. Any V8 will easily sit in the cradle. Yes X frame.
I have fixed a few of theses floors before and will go threw every thing will be a fun project thats for sure and you are right about all the after market stuff for theses cars.
62 was my favorite year for an Impala (year I was born, I know, I'm an old dubba 😆)! My dream car would be white with a red interior, 409 and a 4 speed! Not that you guys need another project, but it would be a shame for nature to claim another one. Go Penny's!!!
Totally agree with you Glenn ahahha would be nice to fined a 409 but im not rich lol but ill be be bringing it home in the fall time its way to nice to just be sitting there. GO GLENN.
To find it in that shape is fairly lucky. Sad it's been picked apart some, but it's still something to work with. My faves are the Chevy Impala or Biscayne 61, 62, 66, 68. 👌
My daughter and son-in-law have a 1962 Impala that they love.. Ii was an Anniversary Gold and they painted the lower half Butternut yellow and left the roof gold. Very sharp car and it looks Great. Thanks for building your Impala for the future build. Will watch Go Penny's Love all your cars.
Loved the 61 and 62. As a teen I was handed granny's 62 SS with low miles. she always had sweet Chevys. That 62 had a 283 that racked up 230,000 miles with no drive line failures.
In the 70's when I was 12, there was a 62 Impala in a nearby town, always sitting in a front yard. Straight axle, radiused read wheelwells, and the low beam headlights missing. A bunch of "Class Winner" decals on the quarter windows that dragstrips issued back then. On a side street off a main road we drove down, I never got to see it up close. I always wanted a car like that.
Can't go wrong with the Impala. Had a '61 a'63 and a '64. Loved them all. Always liked the'62 style when they started that faux convertible top. Can't wait to see what you do with it. But first, waiting for that bubble top to move forward.
Agree Ken was working on the Pontiac yesterday and will be today once that car is up and running then ill be getting on that car as always thanks for watching.
Excellent video Penny's Crew Cory :) , Chris :) ,Derek :) also yes that amazing 1962 Chevrolet Impala car 2 door in good condition, why Chris want that van make camper special one or Music 🎶 concert vechile Lol!
Depending on the price I'd be all over that car cause I love those 2door hardtop Chevy's from the 60s, especially the Impala's..What I liked the most about those old cars is different makes and models made by GM parts are the same upto 1964...
@@pennyshotrodscustoms I figured you probably have one. Hope your long weekend is fun. We are already raining here on the far west side of the province.
Its surprising how much similarity that Chevy has to my first car. A '63 Pontiac Laurentian. Built in Oshawa. Love it. What ever happened to the yellow 2door wagon?
@@pennyshotrodscustoms I've probably mentioned it a bunch of times but my old white 63 was in pretty darn good shape other than the undercarriage when I dragged it out of the bush near St Anne in 99. It was last tagged in 74 or 76 and came from AB. Probably got crushed a long time ago 😞 haven't seen it since.
I'm looking for a 67 Fastback or Caprice two-door would love to have a convertible dream car thanks man I will be following you have a great Channel love your work my name is l o r e n

Its in really nice shape going to be getting it off the ground soon Anthony.
Nice shape, the floor and trunk must be fairly rust free if there are no mice in there. Great find, take it home.
Agree thats what we were talking about the other day as well thanks for watching.
Good looking car, I really like the color.
Agree was a sharp looking car years ago.
That's a good looking 62 . You would have to be a little crazy to pass that one up. Wish I could find anything like what you guys get. 👍

The 62 was better looking than the 63 and 64.
Agree they are a sharp looking car.
Someone has more use of the parts because that chevy needs to be up on blocks so they can take the diff and trans etc .
Going to be going back to the car soon i have an axle for it and tires and will be coming home in the fall.
Just saw someone one Facebook market place is selling the impala emblems you are missing .

Its still in the compound there Brian would still like to get to that car but its safe where it is.
What about the Camaro? I am looking at a 1979 El Camino with a 350 , 4 speed posi rearend for $525.00 It has not run since 2022
Do you live in Manitoba?
Worth saving?... how much better shape could you ask for? . This is a super simple build

I wonder how many yards like this are left in MB, and how many people know about them. Did you have to travel far?
