My thought was that the timing comes in too fast when you do a stab. My Holley 780 had a huge vacuum snap if you stabbed it, causing the vacuum advance to violently pull the advance on spark timing. Just for an instant, but it still produced a short lag.
It ain’t you , every time I plan to get something done in x amount of time it takes 2 or 3 times as much time to get what I had planned done . Murphy’s Law . I always liked that Body Style , It looks the Nuts and sounds the same way ! Keep doing what your doing !👍
Hey Steve, my name is Scott nice to meet you. I’m currently building a 550hp 383 stroker in my impala. How much would you charge to rebuild my holley 600 cfm? I’m local to your area! You’ll be seeing my impala soon!
I hear either a lifter ticking or a header gasket leak. Nice fast car! 11:16, nothing to feel bad about, be in the 10's once you get her all tuned in! 💪👍
Great video. What a fun car. My son used to work for Chris Alston Chassisworks, and I know they had a ton of stuff to help you dial in your hotrod, like the 90-10 shocks. I think they are called Varishocks but not sure. As you mentioned bigger calipers for the front brakes should help with the burnouts. Looks like you have this engine dialed in, Now its time to get the chassis dialed in. Again great video, fun to watch.

I would like to help you but iam not very skilled at rebuilds, I have 750 brawler on mine, relatively inexpensive
You're not going to make 550hp with a 600cfm carb.
I hear either a lifter ticking or a header gasket leak.

Need to tune it where it’s quicker than a junkyard LS with a cam....

I believe you are correct, gotta get chassis dialed in, Thank you for your comment, it makes everything fun, keep on watching!!!!
Get adjustable shocks. 90-10 is a good place to start but it might wake up at 70-30.
nicely done.
Bad azz lil vega
When’s the next video Steve?
hopefully this weekend, was at OC Maryland for cruise week
Dude you leave the carb ON to adjust the pumps
What type of rain do you have in a Vega what type of rain is that
Sounds like you have a header leak.
