I don’t know why people comment negatively on your asking price? If they don’t like the price then walk on, you can ask for any price you want!! Great show by the way.
Damn, wish I was closer. Those were the years when GENEROUS MOTORS actually made quality, desirable vehicles that didn't fall apart while driving them. Best of luck finding a new home for it, Mike. Even better, it has a good home now, just make er shine like new brother.
I will tell you for a fact that if you offered a car for sale for $1 someone will start by offering fifty cents. You can come down buy you can't go up.
Mike that’s a factory air setup. As far as I know the SS was not built in Canada in Oshawa till 63 but you could get buckets in 62 in Canada. The 409 was not available in Canada till 63. It doesn’t look like it has the removable shift hump so it’s likely a 3 speed column shift car. Probably a 327 3 speed standard on the column. Check the cowl tag I bet it a US built car. It will say “Magic Mirror Acrylic Lacquer” as the Canadian cars were painted with enamel paint not lacquer
I bought a Detroit press it's for making all the body parts like they did in Detroit I can make any of the parts even 1/4 panels for a dodge charger and super bee's
Mike you always show your love of cars, just like taking in Lincoln, you're looking out for automotive history, finding homes for strays 😎 That SS could have had a 327 maybe, but Texas is just to far of a haul to trainer a cool car 🤔😎
You never learned the art of haggling. Believe me I know cars. Whatever you ask the buyer will start with half that. However you can buy a ten thousand dollar car for seven thousand if you have cash.
For 7500 for 2 cars which is great price. In the states for that car in that condition, no motor, that shell is only worth maybe 8k. Just cuz it would need to be de-gasser and no drivetrain.
@@GNewcomb-q9v He may be a bit high but for his location it might be reasonable? As long as it has a VIN tag, paperwork isn't that hard to get with a bill of sale. IMO not "crazy high" as the previous poster stated. Lots of "spares" got with it.
British Columbia or BC as its known. BC stands for bring cash. BC is very expensive. Price of fuel, and everything is nuts. Carbon Tax. BC has the highest carbon tax of all the provinces You don't need to buy it
Yes it did my dad had one I remember me trying to help him put a clutch in it. It was cold laying on the grass . I was,9 ,10 . Black on black. It had the 409 .he would bust his knuckles every time going from 2 to 3. God bless y'all Mike.?
Nope, 1st year for 327 was 62. Not a factory 4 speed either by the look of the cut out in the floor. More work than its worth to me. Have a 63 SS you can run the vin tag and cowl tah to figure out. Also they did put inline 235 6 cylinder The red one is not an SS either.
I'd love to get my car out this way and even hang with you boys in the yard for a day and mike i subscribed and commented would love to be entered in your raffle coming up
That handles called an OH SHIT handle if you could even grab it pulling a holeshot with a 409 under the hood and possibly a 4speed trans. I've been seeing the car in the background on alot of the videos and it's a rare item cause I don't see any 62 SS Impala's anymore and it would most definitely have to of had a 409 cause the 327 didn't come out until 63 or 64, I think..I use to know all that stuff but age has slowed the ol brain waaaaay down..I had a book that told everything and it even told tires gear trans and engine to run to have peak performance with stock engine and high horsepower..I also love that black 60 Chevy panel station wagon Mike has that's not a Nomad but a delivery type vehicle. Badass and I've only seen one other one that had a blower sticking out the hood and painted white with a picture on the sides. In the mid 90s a dude wanted 2000 for 1 and I tried talking him down to 1500 lol. I should've just gave him his money cause I ran a magnet all the way around it and it was solid with the factory bench seat and 3 on the tree, no bondo anywhere that I could find cause it was a North Carolina car and beautifully done..Whoever messed the car up, that's a good frame cause they only removed the A frame's and botched the straight axle underneath the front-end cause I noticed everything's still there as soon as you popped that hood Mike. Don't cut yourself short Mike cause that's still a good solid frame. People use modern A frame's anyway these days, the way they did the frame it'll save the buyer alot of work. Most usually people will cut the entire front frame off but they didn't do it with this car...
He doesn't know his stuff on these. No SS came with a 283....it was either 327 or 409. They also aren't super rare, especially in this condition. I have the original 327 in my 62 SS.
Lol Sven thousand dollars for both 😂😂what a complete joke maybe if there rebuilt to like new there piles of junk and look like bird's nest nobody going to give you that kind of money for your cars in there condition i thought you avery and Blair restored you're classic cars to like new ? Isn't that what you did in your show?

What a beauty! Good luck finding her a new home!

He prices these things not to sell on purpose because he really don’t want to get rid of them but for the right price he will 😂.
I will tell you for a fact that if you offered a car for sale for $1 someone will start by offering fifty cents.
You can come down buy you can't go up.
Also you do realize he is pricing them in Canadian dollars. $7500 C is less than $5500 US
Well yaaa..... lol
No title, that's a parts car unfortunately
My Dad had a 62 Impala rag top and it came with a 327
327 was available in 62 best friend ordered one. SS Red 4 spd , posi, dash tach.
Dang Mike, no title, needs a frame…$7500?
Noooo. He mean 75 dollars
Kinda hoping it doesn’t sell so we can watch you build it.
Looks like Mike is cleaning his hair out riding in the convertible this morning.
Love and admiration ❤

Those 4spd cars came with 327s or 409s. Only the autos had the 283.
62 that’s my favorite year of impala wish I could get one some day .
It's right here right now,
Stop wishing and waiting.

Nice 62's Mike the other non ss looks like a anniversary gold 50th edition
I have a 64 SS Impala with 283 2-barrel auto. 95 % no rust!
Does it have gold bars in the glove box😮???
RUST BROS RULE THX FOR SHARING MIKE 😎
Looks good. Be interesting see the stats
You are crazy wanting that kind of money for a vehicle that needs a frame

For both cars? its really not a bad deal in us dollars. Especially for someone who can appreciate it as donors
62 - 64 Impalas you can get practically every nut, bolt, screw, body panel, even complete door shells for them.
Great show Mike
Yeah, you think Chong the love machine
Whoever does the video editing should put For sale not on sale because Mike yelled at Avery for telling people his stuff was on sale 😉
I live in so cal it's easy to find all the chrome and badges beside Detroit Cali is the classic car and truck super store
AWESOME CAR!
Mike, do u have any turn key running cars or just projects?

Come to the U.S. YOU ARE CRAZY HIGH FOR THAT RUST BUCKET...
You realize that price is Canadian dollars. Works out to be about $5500.00 US.

327 could have been 250 or 300 horsepower in 62 as well. Likelihood of 409 is slim but could have been.
U got a 56 Chevy Belair 2 door post ?
I'm still waiting on that 1960 chevy sedan delivery to be for sale been seeing that in the back on the videos for years
That is Blair's car, and it won't be for sale until he dies, most likely.
Nice car!
327 for Chevy came out in '62.

Could be a great car .
well at least i got to see the dog.

You and him are wrong. 62 was the 1st year for the 327. There were zero 283 SS cars. 327 or 409 only
It needs a frame you should lift it and make 4x4
Going to need lots of time. Honestly best to Just tube chassis the front
