Even i had some problems understanding how to get the nut from the white moving "tower" at the beginning 😂. Didn't think they could move to a hole and drop the nut there at first 😁
I once had a bird feeder that looked like a little house. In order to fill it with seeds, the chimney had to be unscrewed and the roof had to be removed. One day I came home from work to find the roof on the ground. Very puzzling, until I saw a little squirrel pop his head up from inside the feeder. So cute and funny! He had actually figured out how to take off the top off the feeder and jumped right in…a pretty complex set of skills.
They're very smart. They don't bother solving the hard parts because they know you won't be able to resist their cuteness and will feed them anyway 🤔🐿😀😀
As a librarian, I love the fact that a) you have a squirrel named after a library classification scheme and b) it was library squirrel who solved it straight away and demonstrated it to the other squirrel 😎. Interesting video, thanks for sharing.
I'm impressed by how quickly they figured it out. The hard part is always have someone behind you, so had to figure it quickly, or step away. Would love to see Kiara take a turn.
What a cute puzzle!! Loved watching the squirrels get, and/or attempt to get the nuts out of the puzzle!! Yes...would love to see video of Kiara playing with her puzzle!! ♥️🙏♥️🙏
Oh my goodness lol I love the names of the brothers! 😂 Fun game, shows how intelligent they are. And this all began with one almond :) Yes, let's watch Kiara❤Thank you
I would absolutely love to see Kiara do the puzzle. I’m having a really hard time getting my new cat to play/interact with me and I’m hoping something like this will help.
I love it! I have the same puzzle for my 2 cats. One of my cats is very proficient with the puzzle, the other one isn’t quite as successful. I’d love to see Kiara use the puzzle. I’ll put the puzzle out for a few days then put it away for while before offering it again. That way the puzzle has remained fresh for over a year.
I suspect if they’d had enough time they would have recovered all the nuts from the puzzle too, although I’d be surprised if part of their solution wouldn’t have involved chewing through the bits obscuring the food 😂 Squirrels are smart, inquisitive & very determined - especially where tasty treats are concerned!
It’s funny because I believe it was manny who kept coming up and leaving empty handed but than coming back like, “how in the heck does Huet keep coming down with nuts but I can’t figure this out” finally he came back and got one. I was so happy for him!
Hilarious. Absolutely yes to Kiara. If the raindrops didn't have food they I think the squirrels would've solved the peg - they seemed close to sliding it back & forth. Wonderful video.🧩🐿🧠🌰
Louie's little head bob and shake...❤😂😂😂❤❤❤ The look Manny gave you! Wondering why he has to work for his breakfast! 2nd time he was trying to see if one of his other spots are open. 😂😂😂
I've been feeding 3 young squirrels that were born last year, they aren't quite confident enough to get this close to me, I can about within 6' of them, I'm really hoping this year they'll trust me enough to take food from me. I've never thought of trying puzzles though. Great channel by the way.
I wonder: what would happen if you left the raindrops open and empty, with the rest of the puzzle-spaces full of nuts? Also - birds at end of video: "Hi! Yeah - we helped a lot!" 😅🐿
Awesome! This is the exact puzzle I have for my tuxedo kitty, Sukanya. I also have squirrels I feed - never thought about getting one for them!! Thank you so much for sharing. Love and blessings to ALL creatures.:)
Squirrels are clever. We had a jar of peanuts on the picnic table when we were camping. I kept reminding the kids to close the jar. We came back from a walk and caught a squirrel unscrewing the lid and helping himself.
Squirrels have long been studied and are the smartest rodents on earth. If you stop replenishing the easy parts, they will definitely solve the harder ones, they need more motivation. Like most things in nature, they take the path of least resistance. Don’t fill the raindrops and they’ll try harder for those treats!!! And I love your videos the little squeakers are soooo cute!! 🥰 😻
Never underestimate the intelligence of squirrels! Wow, this is definitely one of your best videos, and, OMG, I love the names you came up with for the 3 brothers! The look Louie gave Manny at 2:07, and again at 2:11, as if to say, "I don't know, man, I'm puzzled by this thing. See what you can do." Lol! Can't wait to see how your beautiful cat, Kiara, handled this! 😄❤🐿🧩🐿🧩🐿❤🐿🧩🐿🧩🐿❤😄
None of this is surprising to me at all after watching two squirrels work together to defeat squirrel-proof bird feeders. They are remarkably clever creatures.
I've never understood why they can't just be nice and share or just take turns. As for the new toy, they did pretty good. Squirrels truly very smart creatures. and I love them! Your site is awesome for those of us who need a daily dose of squirrels to feel good. Thank you!
Telling squirrels apart is like telling identical twins apart. The more time I spend with them the more I notice unique features and behaviors. I have a video about it if you would like to learn more about how I tell my squirrels apart: th-cam.com/video/dRPqzajs7WE/w-d-xo.html

Awesome job, squirrels! But we also want Kiara! ❤️🐿️😺
That’s so cool! I know they’re pros at smelling buried nuts. Louie is super good at this!
AWW WOW!! THAT WAS GREAT!! IWAS TAKING SCORE. I THINK MANNY GOT THE MOST NUTS!! BUT THEY WERE ALL WINNERS!

Very interesting!! Yes….let’s see how Kiara does!
Squirrels are believed to be some of the most intelligent rodents.
It was beautiful watching the squirrels. They are thinkers and are highly intelligent!!!
Tack!
Thank you very much for your kind gift 😊❤️
Would love to see kitty's reaction to the puzzle! Also, how can you tell what sex these squirrels are to name them?

Squirrels are so smart. It's so much fun watching them solve your puzzle. Like little masters at work

Squirrels are amazing acrobats and they are very smart, but I don't know if they are smarter than rats. I'm glad you enjoy my videos. 😊❤️
Aaaahahaha!! Good job, guys!! 🥰Manny is so polite. And I love the 3 brothers’ names, hehehe. Yes to Kiara w/ the puzzle! 💗
Love it! Squirrels are amazing little creatures! 🥰 Thank you!
I think the noise of the plastic initially deters them from prolonged interaction. Squirrel's hearing is extremely acute.
Would love to see Kiara's reaction.
Never underestimate the intelligence of squirrels! Wow, this is definitely one of your best videos, and, OMG, I love the names you came up with for the 3 brothers! I have rabbits. They'd just gnaw through the plastic whether there were any reward or not.
😄
Sounds like the rabbits around my area 😂
Oh my gracious, that was SO adorable!! 😍💗
None of this is surprising to me at all after watching two squirrels work together to defeat squirrel-proof bird feeders. They are remarkably clever creatures.
That’s a really excellent idea! Having to “earn” the food is probably very satisfying for them.
I've never understood why they can't just be nice and share or just take turns. As for the new toy, they did pretty good. Squirrels truly very smart creatures. and I love them! Your site is awesome for those of us who need a daily dose of squirrels to feel good. Thank you!
"Now, let's reward everyone's participation" 😄 Best part! I love your furry friends 🥰 (and the birds too)
It amazes me how you can tell them apart !
Telling squirrels apart is like telling identical twins apart. The more time I spend with them the more I notice unique features and behaviors. I have a video about it if you would like to learn more about how I tell my squirrels apart: th-cam.com/video/dRPqzajs7WE/w-d-xo.html
The cheering birds always gets their share😊

Huey gave you a “You’ve got to be kidding” look, and it looks like Louie needs to study up some more before he can solve the puzzle.
