A neighbor's pecan tree is bearing nuts. For weeks, it's been enjoyable to watch the squirrels use the power lines to safely retrieve the pecans and take the nuts back to the squirrels' stash.

Me too. I’m in the UK so I get foxes and badgers at night to clear the leftovers too. My old cat loves watching the squirrels and birds like Keira. (UK foxes and badgers are not dangerous unlike the USA.)

greetings from bay area in calif. i am also a squirrel feeder and am providing peanuts in shells and shelled walnuts. some prefer the peanuts and wont accept walnuts. there are a couple of nursing moms who wait for me early in the morning and come back rather late -- at sunset. of course our seasons are milder here but i still put out dried corn on cob for winter months. bless you for hosting this wonderful feast !!
