I am an ESTJ and I had a longtime close friend who was an ENTJ. We had so much in common, especially in our deeper conversations and concerns, but I could in retrospect really feel the differences in our functions and priorities when we went out to eat in all of the concrete details of choosing the food and restaurant and setting, etc. I feel that the small details and habits of daily life sometimes bring out function differences and typing more easily than complex situations and cognitive tests.
As an often-misunderstood ESTJ I appreciate your attention to the nature of Te here. I constantly feel my mind pulled everywhere by my external environment. As a Te I think that a minimalistic home environment and cautious attitude towards exposing oneself to things like the news that can cause information overload and set off a cascade of unnecessary and draining Te is really important. When speakers bore me I simply cannot daydream or tune them out; I have to hear everything. All my ESTJ's out there, don't let yourself get flooded with noise.
I also appreciate emphasizing that Te can be turned to topics like psychology, spirituality, emotion, etc. Too often people present EJs as being more practically-oriented or nuts-and-bolts people than we necessarily are. As an ESTJ English major I feel that people often mistype me based on my interests.
Thank you so much for the videos and God bless.

This comment was extremely helpful! I was professionally typed as a ESTJ and I was like “no way this does not fit me, I am not a traditionalist”. I love abstract things like psychology and all. I can see peoples intentions from a mile away. There needs to be more information on our type. It is disheartening to see all the bad things said about our type. Makes me feel like I’m a bad person.

This was a fantastic comment. I'm a divergent ENFJ and as you say EJs are often portrayed as these mega organised types; I actually don't have any solidified routines, I pretty much go with the flow...Everything that needs to get done gets done anyway. Admittedly I had one very bad run in with an ESTJ that tarnished my opinion of the type but in retrospect she clearly was an unhealthy variant with not a very fluid axis (her Fi was all over the shop). I now have an ESTJ occupational health doctor who's been amazing in supporting me back to work after a long hiatus due to having bipolar disorder. My mother in law to be is also an ESTJ and we share a lot of similar interests. Thank you for pointing out the potentiality of information overload for Te-Ne convergents; this isn't something I'd even considered before. Overall, a very misunderstood type indeed.

@@miguelllewellyn4492 admittedly I'd succumb to the bad stereotypes on account of having a very strained relationship with one particularly unhealthy micromanaging ESTJ with the operative word being unhealthy. I now have a few healthy ESTJs in my life & find we share a lot of commonalities and interests in common. So true, a very misunderstood type indeed! I was equally surprised at being typed as an ENFJ (I can see why now as a divergent subtype) as I'm hardly a huggy kissy kind of person but generally much more serious, such are the common stereotypes associated with Fe.

I'm an enfp and have similar experiences with information overload, but for whatever reason I enjoy soaking in it. I think there is safety in information, and the longer one sits absorbing it, the better understood it is.

That "having to hear it" is precisely why I learned to turn things off and need a t-shirt that says "Plato was a twonk!" as I used to tell people. So many people want to bring him up right at me and try to explain him all over again. I read, considered, understood and dismissed it. Not wholly, but mostly. I tried more politely to tell people that but they were like"Oh, but I don't think you did understand or you would.." so I just started telling them, "Plato was a twonk!" and walking away. They can think that's because I'm stupid or brilliant. I don't care. I just don't need my time wasted by endlessly repetitive, unenjoyable rhetoric.

"An ENTJ wanting to be everything and do a single thing" was the most accurate and simple way I've ever heard this described. I mistyped as an ENTP for many years in part because of then undiagnosed ADHD and also because of the stereotypes you described about EXTJs being super orderly and strict. But as I get older, the distinction becomes clearer. I've always thought chaos is exciting because it's my chance to rise up and get what I want done while everyone else is scrambling. I dislike management because I waste so much time holding everyone else's hand that it detracts from actually important work I feel I could be doing. I do have immense admiration for ESTJs because it's like they're absolute machines who can power through anything. Also spot on remark you made about ENTJs projecting and being confused and demoralized when inevitable failure crops up. We are surprised when the world does not bend to our will. (It chafes at me just to admit that!) This seems to be an often overlooked yet common phenomenon for ENTJs that is rarely talked about. I feel that it can at times lend itself to a naïveté and hidden vulnerability that other types wouldn't expect coming from ENTJ but it's covered up as a defense mechanism by that uncompromising and arrogant veneer that some people associate with us. "I can and will make it happen no matter what." Anyways, thank you for bringing such interesting points up!

I have to say as an ENFJ I have the greatest of respect for many ENTJs; my clinical director is one. I went through a period of cyber stalking which also ended up transpiring in work & she was the only one who took me seriously & actually got to the bottom of what was going on; despite us having polarised views the fact she was willing to engage & not skirt around the issue I highly respect. Lord knows ENFJs can be very vocal & stubborn when they have their claws set into something & I admire that she was willing to challenge me in a respectful yet pragmatic way. Of course I'm sure this has a lot to do with personality variants as opposed to just cognition per se. As a fellow Ni authority she's very invested in my ideas and think the emotionality of the ENTJ is highly underrated. I guess what I'm trying to say holistically speaking she is an amazing human being far removed from the usual stereotypes that are usually peddled against this type. I'd defend her to the hilt especially as she gets a lot of unfair criticism lodged against her.

    • @arlettasloan6453

Hahha I usually ended up in a position of acting as a manager wherever I was working because I would wait for someone else to come up with a logical way to fix problems or at least to listen to the ideas submitted to them by others and then make things work better, but they didn't, so I had to. I am very focused on getting things done. If that means disciplining, firing, telling people to suck it up, or actually having to listen to and enter into someone's feeling, fine. So long as things get done. And, to get my things done, I need other people to function. I mean, in most cases. I wouldn't say I love to do it. I would say I am very good at it and I love when it works and things are now running smoothly.

A big difference between Ni and Si: people with Ni tend to project themselves as who they want to be, while people with Si tend to be nostalgic and recount their experiences.
This difference is quite pronounced between me and my mother. My mother, whom I suspect is an ISFJ, likes printing out old photographs and recollect the memories. I am an ENTJ. To me I don't feel anything about them. But I do remember the "state of mind" I was in and how I wanted to express myself at the time when I see the photos.

@@Abstractor21 I can relate, I did the same and yet I am an ENTJ. I think we may be nostalgic sometimes (which is normal for humans) because deep down we are not really sure if we’ll get that thing back when we felt really good at the moment (especially for ENTJ, love relationship commitment is really complex for us, I think it takes time to fall deeply in love). For the record, I moved on, I am not that nostalgic anymore, I had a great time and I am still in touch with him after a long no contact period.

    Oooh this is interesting.
Made me realise more that I am an entj than estj.
My goals for my future are in a way everything and when I don't have them I can't quite function. I spent so many years trying to understand the internal world of mine and the chaos. But it's true I'm so lead by my own fi that leading and controlling things are not important unless it's related to my goal and the future I envision. I am philosophical because I can't quite articulate my emotions another way and feel them abstractly. But the external world is very systematic to me that I find it's far easier to manipulate and live in. Also I think one of the main differences is that entjs create their own systems stemming from fi and create an external world based on those systems compared to estj. But I think that's what also makes entjs highly creative and imaginative because of their worldview.
Anyway, thank you for the video. Listening to the way you articulate it affirmed my own perspective of the two types. Beautiful content as always.

I write fantasy, and I usually figure out my characters' types so they can have a consistent personality throughout the story. My villain is ESTJ and the main character is ENTJ. This video was very helpful, both to make sure of their similarities and differences, as to see if I their actions made sense from a psychological perspective.
It bugged me that most videos out there about ENTJ only talk about them in leadership roles, but my main character is not a leader (though she bosses people around when it's convenient). I was even wondering if I had typed her wrong, though ENTJ always made more sense than all the other types. Thank you so much for talking about the functions without limiting them to stereotypes!

    • @cinthiagoch
      @cinthiagoch 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

@@andyroobrick-a-brack9355 Well, my ENTJ main character has a slightly dubious morality, so I wouldn't call her the hero of the story exactly. Maybe an anti-hero going anti-villain that gets pulled back to the "good side" in the last minute out of guilt. I guess she doesn't fall that far off from the stereotype. '^^
Funny you should mention an INTP, because my secondary main character is also an INTP. (Actually, I'm still a little uncertain about that, I think I'll have to finish the book first to be able to tell for sure.) What's the relationship between your characters like?

    • @andyroobrick-a-brack9355
      @andyroobrick-a-brack9355 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@cinthiagoch It's a space fantasy. Imagine something similar to Star Wars or Warhammer 40k. An absolutely massive solar system with multiple planets in the right spot for life, with their inhabitants being slightly modified fantasy creatures suited to their envoirnments.
But basically, the main character is an INTP, the younger son of a powerful Duke who is forced to go to war. As you can imagine, having blind spot Se, that he dosen't take it too well, especially considering he's had a ride awakening with what could be considered Fe. At only 18 (his current age,) he was knighted out of status and necessity, earning him an ENFP squire. As you can imagine, the aloof dominant Ti combining with someone who uses Ti as a blind spot could lead to some awkward situations, but war brings unlikely people together.
Another main character is a king seeking to overthrow his somewhat populistic, corrupt brother of a king, and is the reason why everyone is called into war. He is pretty much the standard ENTJ. Efficient, focused, stone-faced, but with that charisma and ability to rally half of all soldiers and politicians in the galaxy. Funny enough, the true main villain is also an ENTJ, and it leads to a lot of conflict considering how married to their ideals each of them are.
But his kingly brother is an ESxJ. I originally stated that he was an ESTJ, but he fits ESFJ more, IMO. He mainly forms his identity around his duties and his public perception, and he is able to satisfy massive hordes of followers and maintain social balance and keep his influence. He's definitely got an issue with how his Fe interacts with Ne.

      @cinthiagoch 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@andyroobrick-a-brack9355 I feel your protagonist's pain. I'm an INTP myself, and I had to develop my Fe a lot for my job (I'm a teacher). To be honest, there are few types I'd like more to have by my side in a war than an ENFP I could trust. Their high Ne could be a good bonding point, and bring lightness to the whole situation. Never underestimate an INTP's secret Ne love for shenanigans. xD

One of the reasons I am looking further into ESTJ is that Michael Pierce described the type as exerting control because they need it, since they see too much. Basically. And, that is exactly how I described myself while "arguing with" an online personality test. It is in me to establish order because I have a strong sense of survival and wild urge to run mad and jump off cliffs. Is that true? Sometimes, anyway. There are too many ways to live a life but not many of them will help one keep one's job, apartment, lover, etc. So, I have to decide what I value more than the freedom and make rules around that.

Hey Harry, I've labored over these new concepts of cognitive functions after a fair amount of fascination with Carl Jung's works, as well as Nietzsche, via the medium of Jordan Peterson's cultural message (these are just an example of men and ideologies which I think are massively inspiring to adopt as preemptive lenses for one's own personal lense on their own journey of self-understanding and leading their life). I've thought time an again that I could be an INTJ or INFJ, (maybe even an ISxP or their extroverted counterparts, but my natural state is more of a cognitively proactive one, although I find myself to be quite apt at Se: playing drums/guitar, weightlifting, driving in extreme conditions, martial arts, etc ); it certainly can be tough to figure out your primary mode of being when its right in front of you, metaphorically speaking. I like to think I love to get to the heart/core of understanding life, relations, my own personal desires, individual meaning vs societal meaning, and quite enjoy these topics in social conversation much more than the latest gossip and find them inwardly satisfying when I can actually fins someone to contend with in that way. And I'm a guy that wants to further clarify his own goals to walk his own journey as great as he can while hopefully being a light to others to lead their own lives better once I can find that inner drive and courage to do so (as genuine and non-pretentious as I can get that sound). Any potential first insights on my type? Would appreciate a response if you come across this. You do great work in this field and I hope you keep it up, Harry. Cheers.

I know one of each of these types they are extremely different. I notice the ENTJ is significantly more aware of their emotions and the ESTJ not much at all. The ESTJ can be rather detached and often blunt. There is a cultural different in the two that might be a factor in the bluntness. There are more factors at work with people than just type.

I believe that it's bc ENTJs are more in touch with their inner world while ESTJs are more in touch with reality. The inner world of ENTJs might mostly be used to visualize Ni plans and visions but it can also be used to explore Fi feelings.

    • @phoenixxsoul
      @phoenixxsoul 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

From my experience it tends to be the opposite, ENTJs are more crowd oriented and people friendly you could say, but less specifically aware of their own emotions and emotions of other people (very typical for FiNi/FeNe which is more plethoric), while ESTJ while they can seem cold and have this RBF syndrome, actually when it comes to one-on-one interactions they are way more sweet and engaging and aware of their own emotions (FiSi/FeSe) though not always responsible for them.
Edit: awareness still mostly depends on an individual, how much an individual Te dom is willing to look into their Fi in a convergent manner.

    • @sarahberkner

I think an ESTJ would basically have to be taught to pay attention to their own emotions and others' emotions otherwise we can be pretty oblivious because of our lack of Ni. So if you know this ESTJ well it might help to gently tell them how they come across, if that is something that they should actually work on. Even if they get defensive they might realize you're right and appreciate the honesty.
Edit: not saying that we don't normally care about people's emotions but it can be hard to know how people will react sometimes or know what people really think of us.

You say that "Fi-Ni" = "be everything", "Fi-Si" = "be one thing", "Te-Ne" = "do everything", "Te-Se" = "do one thing".
I understand that the "everything/one thing" dichotomy comes from the "N/S" polarity.
But where does the "be/do" dichotomy come from? The "i/e" polarity or the "F/T" polarity?
How would this apply to, say, an INTP vs and ISTP? (Ti-Si vs. Ti-Ni, and Fe-Ne vs. Fe-Se)

For example my parents have both said how living in the Star Trek universe would be terrifying because of how dangerous it is, they are both introverts. I have a theoretical question that I think will help me understand your model so much more. Please let me know if I am on track here in understanding this:
For an ENTJ (just as an example type), would the convergence vs. divergence set of functions be the following:
    Te-Se - primary convergent stack
    Fi-Ni - primary divergent/opposing stack
Fe-Ne - divergent extroverted backup functions (with respect to the [Te-Se] primary convergent stack)
Ti-Si - convergent, yet highly unconscious functions (in contrast to the [Fi-Ni] primary divergent stack).
I feel confident in the first two rows, but really would love to determine if the bottom two rows are also accurate. If you can provide some feedback about this, that would be well appreciated!

    • @CognitivePersonality

Omg. The precision of accuracy in saying that our type can get frustrated when reality doesnt measure up to our projection of it. That is one of the biggest high lights for me. This always happens in short frame excursions or activities such as a night out or anything spontaneous. I always notice when im doing something im not naturally good at.... In that it's not enough to *WANT* to win. I have to actually apply and shape myself to these situations. Its always mini golf and billiards when im out because of the degree of nuance that is needed. But when i hone in on it...i do decent. Not winning everything but evening the odds. To the contrary, everything else long term with change and evolution i always have shined through. I think its learning to manifest Se and reconciling Ni for small forays.
Another big thing was wrestling as a kid. When i lost a match-the proper word is- demoralizing...i also grew up without parents tho so had 0 esteem. It taught me about loss at least and so i wanted to win even more but didnt have the tool of Se until at least 17. I also attribute that to preferential Ni and just being a kid still.
Se it seems has to be tested and played with over time to learn its limits initially-and then to expand on its potential.
The Fi-Ni of wanting to be everything but do 1 thing....how uncannily perceptive...
Im 27 now and this is manifested very close to my life.
I wanted to be further my education and had the cognitive inclination to do so but wanted more. So i joined the military. Then did school. Double whammy cuz i got in for free. Then i wanted to do finance realized i could do accounting and truenfinance i cpuld pursue on my own at home. Now all i do is investing research and growing my portfolio steadily. So... Eventually it can cover my expenses so i can *be* everything as in a linguist and mma practitioner and help kids get adopted..while peeking at my investments once a month.

I was in a similar spot once. In my amateur opinion, I'd read about the individual functions Si and Se and Ni and Ne and see which ones you think have, if you can. For example, if you socialize by constantly telling anecdotes about the past, that may be a sign of Si. As an ESTJ I do it all the time and so do some other ESTJs I have known. If you love stories with great sweep and a sense of destiny (War and Peace, Count of Monte Cristo, Gladiator, etc.) in my experience that's an Ni kind of thing and ENTJs seem to particularly enjoy that. Another example: I think ENTJs intuition leads to them both using and often preferring abstract or theoretical language. ESTJs like concrete detail, even in fiction. I think the ENTJ Se gives them a bit more of an adrenaline junkie quality at times. They don't crave routine the same way and aren't as sensitive to their environment. Those are just some examples.
I've learned that with intuitives if I follow my nature and use a ton of specific details when I talk they often feel like they can't follow my point or that it's tedious. When they speak in a very abstract or broadly intuitive way sometimes I feel like the words start to lack meaning and that I can't follow their point well or don't trust it.
As many remark, often ENTJs like to be President, figuratively speaking; whereas as an ESTJ ever since I was a kid I've always had the feeling that I'd prefer to be Vice-President, or simply a loyal soldier. I don't even have an elaborate reason, it just feels more comfortable.
I recognize as I get older that there's a kind of big-picture future-oriented thinking that just isn't my thing. Whereas the ENTJs I have known seemed to live in that place all the time.
This may be totally unhelpful, but perhaps there's something useful. Good luck in your journey and God bless.

    I'm not ENTJ!!!
    1. I'm worse when it cames to group interactions. My father on the other hand, is better at those. Thus, I'm better at one on one interactions.
    2. My Fi is CONVERGENT. I'm able to compromise my stance. And internally I'm always adopting to the position of the other. Heck, I can even talk about african traditions and even adapt to them and integrate them in my own identity. That's because I don't have the syndrome of me against the world. I see every one as an extension of myself. I always question my motives, and that's where my nihilism comes from not being able to validate my desires and needs. My father is the opposite. He has those desires and he simply just acts on them.
For example, when I first met my ENTp friend, I adopted his whole way of being as I saw that his belief system was better.
My whole depression cames from the fact that I consciously adopted the values of my father, but then I figured out CONSCIOUSLY that those values are too exclusive and less inclusive to other groups beliefs.
Heck, I changed so quick when I arrived at my father, from detesting my step mother within the first 3 days, to completely embracing her and wanting to integrate her in my being. This happened as I distinguished which were my feelings and which were those of others which were against my step mother.
Even with my so called bullies I wanted to reach a compromise. I always imagined a way on how we can cooperate. For example, I imagined how would be to talk about tea for example.
I also had some friends and I would let them to came at my house and do whatever they wanted. Even eating from the fridge without my permission. My problem was a lack of authority and rigidity not the other way around. My father, was the other way around tho. When he was at school, he was the one to defend others against the bullies. He beat them up.
    3. Even now I compromised a lot. With my INFJ friend I gave him the benefit of the doubt always. I always thought that we can resolve the conflict. I sacrificed my own observations and the consequences that they highlighted just to make this friendship last. That's why I was the first to forgive and to ask for forgiveness. However, when I saw that the compromise wasn't reciprocated and I saw that it wouldn't even matter since my INFJ friend would read behind the lines with his Fi sub authority Ti convergent auxiliary, then I stopped doing what I did before as I couldn't guess every reason of why he's upset on me.
With my ENTp friend also he was always trying to make kinda of offensive jokes and even punching some times(as he had problems because he was left at a center when he was a child by his parents), and I always forgive him because I knew what the cause was and I knew his psychology from the age of 16.
My father, on the other hand doesn't compromise. While I forget about my own desires and my stance when I'm compromising. Thus, when I'm compromising, I'm really giving everything to that person as I take the absolute definition of compromise.
    4. With my ENTp friend I think that I had just one or two "conflicts" in the lifespan of 4-6 years of being friends.
Howerver, the ENTP friend emotions could be easier deduced as they were not hidden, and he would also tell me when something is wrong. With my INFJ friend, on the other hand, it's impossible to guess what problems he has since he sees everything as a problem sometimes and he never tells anyone. However, his face betrays him as you can see if he's upset, but I'm not sure if my observations are correct and I also don't know what their cause is. As such, I prefer to be informed than to be let to guess.
In short, I'm always eager to adopt to someone beliefs if he presents me how they are superior to mine. However, I can't compromise when I don't see a point in it. When neither I nor the other get something out of it. However, For my friends I do this. But I can't do it forever and be disspointed every time as I'm not even aknowledged my view, but the other still demands to be aknowledged his without seeing how it affects the whole situation.
    5. Usually there's not even a need to compromise with others as I just remove myself and as long as I'm not threatened, then I'm fine. That was how I dealt with bullies. I take the stance of live and let live. However, when you are in my close circle, then be prepared to stand up by the position that you are in because I care about you.
    6. My introverted thinking it's way to pedantic as I use a lot of terminology when I'm discussing things. Even my ENTj father recognized that. Here, on the other hand, I'm more open with you and I show you my unfiltered Ni Fi world. Don't take this as a criteria of testing my concrete internal framework to my intuitive internal framework. As I can be really legalistic and precise in my thinking. Here I choose to not be, so I can be vulnerable.
    7. I get a feeling of inadequacy when it cames to my personal values, that's why I use introverted thinking in order to adopt to the other person values and integrate them in me. As such, I'm constantly changing my values CONSCIOUSLY. That's also why my values are universalistic in their nature because I try hard to remove my own biases.
    8. As such, my philosophy is also universalistic and it isn't comprised of just one group of people who can attain it. It's based on the criteria that everyone should be able to be happy regardless of ideology, sex, nationality, etc. Because I can't stand to live happily and that African child to suffer. I want equality but in its correct sense. Not the PC one.
For example, for me, the EU slogan of equality in diversity, it's taking every value of different cultures and combining them into one or a group, whilst not removing the individuality and the rights of those different cultures. However, an individual culture can't have more rights within the group than the other. As such, the group has the deciding factor over individual cultures since it is comprised of their values and they are taken into account and so it's the most legitimate for this position.
As such, when you want equality and different groups are more equal than others, then I don't agree with this.
I don't agree with the fact that some groups advocate for terrorism and anarchy, and they are not punished or dealt with, while others immediately became guilty of the most minor things that happens and they became a scapegoat to others.
That means that true equality in a group means that everyone is taken into account and as such, they all need to compromise. Not just one. All of them. So everyone sacrifices EQUALLY their values for the benefit of the group and for the benefit of the others needs and individuality. Thus, a new entity is formed and everyone keeps their identity inside the group since all their needs are met not by themselves, but by others. The individual stops preserving his individuality in order for this individuality to be preserved by the other or the group at large. Thus, both will keep their individuality, but not by themselves, the other will preserve them as they will hope that since they met the expactions of the other, then their expactions will be also met.
As such, the me against the world syndrome leads to inequality and love or mutual and reciprocal compromise is the only way. If only one compromises, then the other would still want to have more slices of the pie than the other. They both need to be wise.
I think that this philosophy is very adaptive and universalistic as opposed to it being exclusive and rigid.
    9. I'm idea oriented and not action oriented. For example I was playing a 4x grand strategy game about economics and trade with my father. He found immediately what worked and got more money than me and his kingdom was better developed, while I was trying to figure out what is the best method of achieving that same outcome. As such, I made a lot of mistakes, and I tried to make different hyphoteses instead of just taking one of them.
As such, I think that a Te dom with Ne sub authority would be akin to an Ne dom ENTP in regards to taking action. As Ne-Te its taking action on the moment based on the potentialities and improving a strategy in time Ni authority.
While for an Ni dom is different. I already have a strategy but because my Ne it's the unconscious that means that I neglect the potentialities in the moment Ne-Se because I think that they are against my main goal. Thus, I remain in the planning phase without taking action and I also shoot myself in the foot while I'm at it. For him, it's the other way around, he has Se and he can take action based on the potentialities present in that moment.
As such, I'm adaptable internally about my values Ni-Fi perceiver dom, but externally I'm rigid and I adapt harder Te-Se judging. Thus, I'm a domminant perceiver Ni internally, and a judger externally Te-Se. In short, an introverted perceiver. My INFJ friend has the same problem as his Ni dom makes him to lose opportunities. Thus, we both arrive to self fulfilling prophecies when we are not individuated. Also, there's the difference between me and my father when it cames to thinking first and then taking action in my case, and for him, taking action first and then thinking. I'm an INTROVERT, Harry!
As such, all of those things attests to my CONVERGENT intuitive world as I reached those conclusions consciously, and not while being unconscious. I deliberately took my time to arrive to those conclusions and philosophy as I reflected a LOT. From when I was a child to now. That's way to much reflection for an extrovert and keep in mind that I did this always from every action and observation that occurred to me in that moment.
In conclusion, I'm not an ENTJ!
BTW make a video on INTJ vs ENTJ and one about INTJ vs ENFP? I wanna get rid of my Ti PoLR doubt.
Also, can you do one about ENFp vs ESFj? I suspect that my grandmother is one of those.

Honestly point 9 sounds more congruent with ISTP than INTJ.
But, yes, if you are an ENTJ you'd be an ambivert rather than a true ENTJ. Fair enough!

@@CognitivePersonalityThanks for replying, Harry, as always!
Also, Harryyyyyy! The fact of the matter is:
      1) I'm more concerned for the idea itself than action. Action only develops my idea and observations further.
I'm more concerned of knowing for the sake of knowing, than to actually do something with it.
      2) Also, I'm much more adaptable to opposing beliefs. I actually adopted a lot of opposing beliefs because I want to renounce the me vs the world syndrome and I want to see objective truth as it is. For the latter being required to get out of my intellectual comfort zone.
      3) The amount of introspection is way to much for an extrovert. I basically psychanalyzed myself every time when I did something my entire life. I always related every event to me and tried to learn what could be learn from that situation without experiencing it first, thus trying not to repeat my mistakes or the mistakes of others from the past.
      4) I entertain impressions of different things. That's Ni with an Fi codec in my case.
This attests to a conscious control of Fi, not unconscious or divergent.
      5) I always knew that I was introverted. I always preferred to stay with my thoughts and play games in single-player than to interact with real people.
      6) I always doubted my intelligence. I thought that I'm not enough intellectually speaking. This fits well with Jung description of the introverted intuitive doubting his own intelligence. While a Te or Ti dom would not doubt his intelligence since it is his confident function.
      7) I rarely smile or show emotion as I look akward doing so and I hate when other make me laugh because of it. An ENTJ has better access to Fe and he can show emotion better. I, on the other hand, feel very akward while doing so and I prefer to show my emotion and care in my philosophy and symphaty. I'm like Jordan Peterson in that regard.
      8) I feel uncomfortable staying with more than 2 people. I always get quiet when there's a group. I kinda of can talk only when I'm on on one, or when I'm presenting something, without others interrupting me.
      9) I can't resist the overstimulation of a group. It drives me nuts! Even when dealing on one on one for a few minutes, sometimes I regret that I even interacted and I prefered if I would have remained at home.
      10) Again, I hate stimulation. Every small noise or abrupt actions or interruptions from my contemplations can frustrate me a lot. Sometimes I avoid people just to not have to be stimulated by them through eye contact or their mere presence. Their eye contact drains me a lot!
      11) Internally I'm sensible to criticism even if I don't show it and I can shut off if someone is too aggressive and I don't have the arguments to defend my position. When in a heated argument, I also can shut off, as I can't think because of the intensity of the argument. Only when every side remains calm and it's being logical I can operate. However, when I have found my arguments on why someone criticized me unfairly, then I don't hesitate to bring them forward. Especially if the person doesn't want to cooperate in finding the truth and it's only trying to show his superiority. Even in such a case, I criticize if the atmosphere is calm.
      12) I first and foremost perceive a thing and try to see how it pertains in that current context before judging it. I'm always trying to see how would that person try to convey that message in their way. From there I move on to see how probable that chance is and then I research it if it's true or not. That's DA thinking that tries to see the probabilities.
      13) In social groups I'm becaming silent because I always try to let the other person saying what is trying to say because I think that's more important than what I'm trying to say. And then, I lose the opportunity of saying anything as I wait for everyone to finish their ideas. Even when I'm starting something, am extrovert almost always will move it on another subject and I will lose my turn since they will all follow the extrovert from there. As such, an extrovert focusses on a lot of subjects talking about everything and changing subjects, while an introvert foccuses on only one subject and it can appear boring to extroverts. The latter case is what happens always to me. That's why I prefer to let others say what they are saying and learn from them than to give input that is not welcomed.
I'm giving up by now if this isn't enough. I can't oppose Ti convergent auxiliary from what it seems.
One last attempt. I'm not like this ENTJ. He's too factual and accurate than I'm and shows more emotion that me. I'm way more philosophical and stoic and also wishy washy.

I'd say that ISTP is a candidate here; I'm an ENFJ (divergent subtype) and I'm noting similar overlaps with my convergent Ti-Ni as it's significantly more convergent than my Ti-Ni- and Fe-Se+. That being said, I'd say you're likely a convergent subtype; it's worth noting that some subtypes contingent upon intellect and a multiplicity of other factors don't feel the 'pull' of the authority function. I'm not picking up on Ni-Fi convergence anyhow but I do note perhaps a Ne blindspot.

@@Tified967 Ne PoLR? Elaborate. I'm acquainted with nearly all systems in this field. There are contradictions everywhere. To give an example. Socionics has a concept of "charges" in relation to functions. CSJ attempt after the Beebe model also has "attitudes" which are positive or negative. In reality that's the same concept as the socionics charges which are also positivist and negativist.
In socionics the positivist attitude denotes associated properties of and it is based on the process dichotomy while negativist presents properties that are not associated and is based on the result dichotomy.
Within CSJ system the "attitudes"-(charges) are based on the fixed positioning of functions within the psyche. So dominant, "child", nemesis, and "trickster", have a fixed positive attitude denoting ability and a confident use. While the auxiliary, inferior, "critic", and "demon", have a fixed negative attitude denoting insecurity and lack of ability.
The existential contradiction appears when considering the types using those positivist or negativist attitudes in those different systems.
In socionics an ILI INTJ would have his Ni dominant as negativist - and his Ti demonstrative as positivist +.
In CSJ system the same fricking type would have Ni as positivist due to being the "hero" function and Ti demonstrative as being negativist due to being in the slot of the "critic".
Within CPT the same scale is represented in terms of the convergent and divergent functions which are the same as those attitudes or charges in CSJ system or socionics but they describe a different property. Convergent here rather than representing the function nature it represents the conscious control of it while divergent the unconscious one.
So what I see is that the way you define a system and those concepts yields in different types combinations since there's no unified understanding surrounding those concepts in the first place. A common vocabulary that everyone can use. Rather everyone defines them differentely which yields in different interpretations of the same thing.
I can see a point of convergence and how those can be true at the same time. But they would be true only when taken in relationship to one another and not individually.
We could say that CPT convergence and divergence dichotomy being a scale of the conscious or unconscious influence over a function also is equivalent to the socionics and CSJ system charges and attitudes. That is a convergent conscious attitude would yield a positive charge as well and a divergent unconscious attitude would yield a negative charge.
So what I see is that everyone sees things from a different lens and nobody is able to see the whole picture.
As such it makes typing inconsequential since you can be multiple contradictory types in different systems and it doesn't allow you to triangulate and have the ability to see what's true.

This might be the longest comment I've seen on TH-cam, but anyway I would guess INFJ for your type although of course I'm not sure. I suppose you've figured out your type by now but I'm curious if I was right. You definitely use Fe in that you're focused on what the group wants (you also use Ti), you sound like you're an intuitive, and we seem to think very differently and I'm an ESTJ lol.

I dont even know what sensing is. You are dismantling ENTJ for personal bias. Dont know whats to gain other than self worth. Maybe if you delivered your message with a meaning of bias. Or had a more neutral tone in your videos.
Anyways, entj is better than all other personalities :p

Why the hell is he dismantling the ENTJ for personal bias? You don't know what sensing is and you're a Te-Se convergent? That or you're a divergent subtype like myself. Anyway, I couldn't see a healthy ENTJ given such an attached logic imbued response...you sure you're an ENTJ?

Extroverted sensing is using your five senses and noticing things in the real world and means being open to new experiences and being good at reaction in real time. Introverted sensing is noticing sensations happening internally like hunger and tiredness, and is also associated with memory and learning from the past, and also noticing details because we noticed when things have changed from the past.
Entjs use extraverted sensing but introverted sensing is their blindspot although we use all eight functions some. And btw he didn't dismantle ENTJs.
