Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Leigh Curtis in True Lies. I think you will enjoy it.
Love that movie, such a fun action flick.
Seconded
oh goodness YES!!! Such a great movie
They will love it. It’s a great popcorn movie!
I’ve requested True Lies a couple times already
Danny De Vito was in 2 comedy movies with Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner. Romancing The Stone and The War Of The Roses in which he played an attorney.
Correction: three. He was also in the sequel to Romancing the Stone, The Jewel of the Nile.
@williambryan3346 Good catch,I forgot about that movie.
They watched Romancing the Stone 2 years ago. FYI.
The war of the roses, his magnum opus as a director. A great dark comedy
Arnold is originally from Austria. This wasn't one of his earliest movies. He had already played in Conan, Terminator, and Predator was released the year before this. But this WAS the movie that proved he could lead a comedy, and be more than just an action hero.
People went to see it because they wanted to see the change. Ivan Reitman being on it helped too.
Arnold stated he hired vocal coach to ease his Austrian Accent after Conan in order to get more roles. Arnold didn't want to be typecast in only for action.
The hot blonde woman is Kelly Preston. She was married to John Travolta and sadly passed away from breast cancer a few years ago.
Poor woman.
Was just going to post this
Kelly was also in For Love of the Game with Kevin Costner. His best baseball movie.
@@Head-ck4hu I mean, sure. If you don't count any movies named Field of Dreams.
@@Head-ck4huI agree, and it's a sport movie, Jay will love and the love story for Amber. It's one of my favorites as well
Throw Momma from the Train is a pretty good Danny DeVito and Billy Crystal comedy.
& DiVito's craziest "...Momma From
The Train" was also the Mom of the 2 crooks in "The Goonies"! 📖🚂🍳
Good and underrated for sure
"The night was... Moist." Hahaha it's actually a very funny dark comedy
Love Throw Momma from the train. Danny plays those dodgy characters so well.
@@MikeR773 🎵 "Owen loves his Momma!"🫵😜🤏=Momma;DiV's!
Speaking of scoundrel, you two should watch Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. It's another comedy from the 80s that I love. It stars Michael Caine and Steve Martin as con men.
This is an incredible rec. Hope they add to the queue!
I am sooooo waiting for that reaction.
This is a timeless classic. Arnold and Danny work off each other so beautifully. There are some great Arnold comedies out there I hope you continue watching them
They looked like they were just having fun.
I love how Arnold picked on Stallone in this because I watched a documentary on him where he talked about how they started out as rivals always trying to outdo each other in the 80's but in the 1990's he told Stallone he never would have pushed himself as hard without him and they've been good friends ever since.
He also had a poster of Stallone as the Terminator in Last Action Hero but that wasn't picking on him, just a joke for everyone who spent the 80s watching all of their action movies
I think they were in business together on a restaurant at one point.
Wait your telling me the Penguin and Mr. Freeze are twin Brothers! 🌬🐧
😂
Sh*t! I just noticed your name 🤣🤣🤣
@@joekerr7975 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Michael Keaton as "Batman" is top-notch. In the sequel, Davito plays The Penguin, and plays it very well!
If you've never heard his story of the monkey attacking him in that Penguin suit, it's worth looking up and hilarious!
@@MrQuickdraw417 At least he was better than Ben Affleck. 🤮
Jay. I hope you're doing better. Keep the faith, take the meds, lean on Amber and look toward your children as they are every possibility of the future.
You are in my prayers.
Amber: My first job in 1987 was at a supermarket, and at the end of the night I would empty cigarette butt cans at the end of every aisle. No joke. How times have changed. ;)
Danny is great in the comedy "Throw Momma From The Train" (also with Billy Crystal)
Yes! & DiVito's crazy Momma From The Train was also Mom of the 2 crooks in "The Goonies"! 📖 🚂 🍳
The sister that is with Arnold's character is Kelly Preston who was married to John Travolta for many years. Sadly, she passed away from cancer semi-recently
“I did nothing!..The Pavement was his enemy.” Constantly quoted by me lol
Me too! It tickled me then and it tickles me now!
There's actually a 2nd movie that Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny Devito co-starred in together. The 2nd one is "Junior"
Please watch Young Frankenstein in memory of Teri Gar
I second that request. "Rolling in the hay."
They have no idea who Teri Garr is.
Candid Camera was from the 70s. Was like Punk’d. It was the original reality show. Long before they had a name for it.
Love this movie! It was huge when it came out!
Amber, to see Danny DeVito at his best, the TV series 'Taxi' is a must see. It's early in his career and very funny.
And it was also the show that made Christopher Lloyd famous. 😊
@@bobbuethe1477 Plus Andy Kaufman and several others.
it was $5 million, but if you notice at the end (in their shared office), Vincent kept saying $4 million. And Julius never knew how much was in the briefcase. So it's heavily implied that Vincent kept $1 million.
Glad to see your back
Classic. Loved this as a kid. Understand a lot more as an adult. LOL
Glad you liked the movie. Hope you are doing better. Take care of yourselves 😎
"If you're lying to me, I'll be back" Where have I heard that before? 😀😀
🤔😁
Arnold and his family went to my church in Santa Monica. They would come late and he would wait outside - talk to everyone who spoke to him. A very nice man.
I’m so glad you guys got to see this movie. It’s just a really sweet movie. It’s not gonna win the Oscars, but you don’t always need those types of movies. This is one of my favorites. The casting is really good and Schwarzenegger and DeVito make really good Brothers in this movie. I’m glad you liked it. Love the reaction.
Harlem Nights guys!!! One of the best comedies of all times. I swear!
Jay with the most organic, realistic, initial dad reaction to finding out it's twins..."ooooohhhh.... shoot". 🤣🤣🤣
I hope J is doing well. Positive vibes your way 🫶
What happened?
I saw this when it was new, I remember it being funny and them having great chemistry together.
Twins is so funny, devito is comedy genius
Fun fact: Twins is both Devito and Schwarzeneggers most profitable film in both their acting careers ever.
The reason is that the studio executives didn't want to fund it. Both actors asked the studio that if they put up the money themselves to make the film, they should receive all profits from the films release . A $216 million box office success globally. That would be almost 600 million in 2024 today.
Studio executives where obviously financially upset and would never allow this to happen again because they did not receive any profit. Just Devito and Schwarzenegger. ..which is hard to believe with so much of their wonderful films over their careers.
Danny De Vito you also saw him in :
“Romancing The Stone”
If you want more Danny Devito Ruthless People is a must great movie.
that was so funny!
You would be surprised by the number of people that don't know that movie. It is great and really get a sense of the 80s in it.
Arnold Schwarzenegger - Last Action Hero was one of my favorites as a kid.
An underrated movie
I’m pretty sure Danny DeVito kept some of the money. The case had $5MM but at the end he tells his Arnold it was $4MM. 😊
I was of the mindset the guy shortchanged the suitcase. Who is really going to stand there and count in that situation
Hope you two are having an great and awesome day ❤
One of my all-time favorite movies. Highly underrated, in my opinion.
58:50 You remembered what he was paid ($5 million) but didn't catch the fact that he said "$4 million" When talking to Julius late in the movie about how much they returned. He skimmed off $1 million and didn't tell Julius.
I wore a suit jacket, collared shirt and tie, and shorts back in 1987. Ladies loved it.
Just checking in to make sure you guys are doing alright. Thinking about you.
Why? Did something happen?
@@stephenh.3527sounds like they might be getting divorced? That's what everyone is saying anyway. And Amber posted a farewell video today but didn't give a lot of details.
@@jenniferschmidt9901
It was only Amber in the video, which was jarring. I've seen a bunch of these couples channels end and they usually do the final vid together.
58:57 Y'all weren't paying attention that the amount in the briefcase was 5 million and he told Jules he hated having give back that 4 million. Implying he kept a million of it. 😂😂😂😂
Oh, Jay got that right away
I think Arnold Schwarzenegger was born in Austria.
I am almost sure that his first movie was in 1977 called Pumping Iron.
His first movie was Hercules in New York (1970).
5:24 The actress playing Vince’s girlfriend here, Chloe Webb, had just a couple years before this film made a terrific performance portraying Sex Pistols bassist Sid Vicious’ troubled girlfriend Nancy Spungen in Alex Cox’s excellent biopic SID AND NANCY (1986), with Gary Oldman as Sid (he was outstanding in his part as well). Definitely that film should be on your watchlist!
I came here to say this! Sid and Nancy was my first exposure to both Chloe Webb and Gary Oldman. Chloe was fantastic! After Twins, I don’t think I saw her again until China Beach. She’s good at drama and comedy!
Thank you! I’ve been wracking my head to remember what else I’ve seen her in. You saved me a trip to IMDB.
RIP Kelly Preston (Julius's gf, and John Travolta's IRL wife)
Such a great 80s crime comedy. This was Arnold's first comedy role but he had done lots of action movies by this time
Great movie, they were talking about a sequel several years ago but I'm glad that it never happened. Twins came out at the right time and perfectly fits late 80's culture.
They weren’t cast for this movie. The real story is that Arnold wanted to do a comedy and no studio would back it.
Arnold, the Director, and Danny met up and came to an agreement on budget, their low earnings, funding, and owning the majority of the points on the movie.
With such low risk to the studio they Green-lit the movie. That’s why this movie made Arnold and Danny the most money out of their entire careers.
Arnold really pushed for Danny DeVito to be in this film. The film wasn't originally trying to cast someone of his smaller height.
Glad you got to enjoy this cute little gem. Love you guys, keep up the awesome videos.
Matilda....that was one of those movies when my daughter was young we'd watch it often.
Last Action Hero is another awesome Arnold Schwarzenegger movie worth watching also Throw Momma From The Train with Danny DeVito and Billy Crystal.
Marnie was played by Kelly Preston, who was married to John Travolta. Unfortunately she died of cancer in 2020.
She was also in Space Camp (1986) with a very young Joachim Phoenix. A bunch of kids go to Space Camp & accidentally end up being launched into space. Good ‘80’s fun😊
Also, the bad guy who keeps shooting people with a silencer is Marshall Bell. He was in another Arnold Schwarzenegger movie, Total Recall. He played George/Kuato.
***** SAD that This is a COMEDY. But SADLY Appears to the LAST MOVIE REVIEW that JAY & AMBER Did Together. And They Forged Ahead, the Show Goes On, Laughing like Always, but with a Painful Family Situation looming. True Professionals!. I will Miss Their Chemistry & Wish the Very Best for Them & Their Family.
I like to be optimistic and hope maybe they'll work out their issues & get back together,
If that's not possible... then all good things musty come to an end I suppose.
And I wish them both the best...
Oh have they split up then? I watched Ambers farewell video but it was very cryptic.
@
Yes it sure looks as if they've split.
There's a rumour going round that an affair is the cause.. but it's only a rumour and (unless hear otherwise) I don't take hearsay seriously.
Arnold explains in his book (Total Recall) that “TWINS” is the movie that REALLY put him over as a huge Hollywood star! 🌟 📚
Devito plays such a great slimeball, and Arnold has had some really iconic roles. Lol I love them both. Also, Amber is looking like she lost some weight. Face lines all chiseled and stuff. 😊 Go girl!
34:55
Technically, Jay, the first movie filmed was a B-Movie titled "Hercules In New York," which they'd had to dub his dialogue because his accent was extremely thick.
As for where Arnold's from, he's originally from Austria
Yes, Hercules in New York is a blast. So funny to hear the overdub and "special" effects when he fights a bear.
An absolute must is 'Throw Mama From the Train' with Billy Crystal and Danny DeVito. Absolute hilarity.
SO happy seeing movies w Jay and Amber back!!! Was gonna say, “Jay, you weren’t scared bc y’all didn’t watch Hereditary!” But then I saw another commenter recommend DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS and I have to cosign. That movie is SO funny. Hope u guys check it out! Michael Cain and Steve Martin absolute classic. Very fun visual as well!
14:55
"Is That A Cologne?"
That's correct, Amber
We always got that for a father's day gift because it was under $5 just right for a kid's budget.
You guys are the best I hope all is well, keep your chin up brutha!
Def here for this twining fun. I know everyone loves Arnold's action, but I really enjoy his comedy side. This, True Lies, Junior, and Total Recall r my favs. Danny is just comedy royalty. His sarcastic comedy is legend. Actually back in the day u could smoke everywhere including ur hospital room and in planes. Thanx for the laughs, take care, Peace
And Red Heat 🔥 😊
GUYS---any movies????? Christmas movies????? ❤😊Asking for a friend.
Is this channel over? Your movie reactions were highlights of my week.
@@billahernNYC not even close we have had a super busy past 2 weeks and haven’t found time to record a movie
Happy to hear it. Take your time. You guys deserve a break.
@@robsquadmoviereactionsGlad to hear it. I just came to see when the last upload was and got worried.
@@robsquadmoviereactions Well we know now that this wasn't true. Sending you both positive vibes on your separate endeavors.
I read in Arnold's body building manual that's when he was a young body builder he was so embarrassed of his calves that he would always take pictures standing in water up to his knees to hide the fact that they were so underdeveloped compared to the rest of his physique. When he went pro he obviously fixed that problem, I know the shorts are too make him look goofy in the beginning but I can't help but think it is some sort of personal shout out he made to himself and how far he had come. Especially because they are the first thing that Danny reacts to on his body.
Three Men and a Baby is another cute one from around this time
‘Sup guys!! It was long for me! I’m sooooooo tired of dark, dark stuff. Seriously. Lighten it up. 😊❤ Let’s go!
I did nothing, The Pavement was his enemy.
-ARNOLD when a man drop kicked him in south africa..lol
Danny was in batman returns as penguin
I guess you didn’t notice that Vincent only mentioned $4 million at the end instead of the $5 million in the suitcase, so yeah, he broke off a piece! 😂
They clearly noticed that, they reacted to it.
@@prestige515go back and rewatch. I don’t think so.
This is actually Arnie's 19th movie. His first movie was Hercules in New York, he is in the credits as Arnold Strong "Mr. Universe". Terminator and Conan the Barbarian were also before Twins.
I'm so happy that you guys have now done a movie reaction I really enjoy watching them with the two of you I hope everything is going okay with you Rob.❤
I love the movie it was Arnold's first comedy he did he had to fight to play the role because the studios didn't think people wanted to see him in funny movies he always wanted to play in comedies .
This was released in 1988, his first movie, was released in 1970, (Hercules in New York)
Hercules is so funny because of the terrible dubbing.
Hello Jay & Amber!😊 The parking attendant that helps Vincent picking out the stolen cars is a young David Caruso of TV's "CSI: Miami". Nice reactions to this classic comedy, Guys!!!!🎬👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
The look on Arnold’s face after losing his virginity is priceless 😂
Wow, Twins!! This is an awesome comedy. If you want another Arnold and Danny film check out Junior. They need to do 1 more movie together🙂
1408 is a good one to poll for next October. It will scare Jay's pants off.
There can be a mysterious connection between twins. More so with identical ones. I know a set of identical twin women. Ones married and the other one didn't. When the married sister went into labour, the other one felt all of the pain as well.
The TV show “Taxi” is where Danny Devito perfected the art of portraying a lowlife.
@@stevepecorella2704 I thought he perfected that in kindergarten.
😜
Cool to see the change from her hating Vince's character to feeling compassion for him as it's shown how badly he's been treated. This is one of my favorite movies. And one of Arnold's greatest acting performances.
Matilda is a classic!!!!
Did you ever hear the stories of the girl that played Matilda with Devito. He treated her like she was his own kid and made sure she was comfortable and happy.
@@GeekyGirl80Yea, her mom had cancer during filming, so he & his wife Rhea (Matilda and real life 😊) took care of her.
They brought her a copy of the almost finished movie in the hospital & dedicated the movie to her too 😭
Such a kind family 🥰🫂🥰 Wish I had ppl in my life like that
Great movie, good mix of comedy, action, drama. Saw it with my dad growing up, we both laughed and cried.
Danny Devito plays such a great scumbag. Louie De Palma was one of my favorite characters on tv when I was a kid. Forgot Kelly Preston was in this - nice. This was the height of her career more or less. Fun movie that I haven't seen since it was in the theaters back in the late 80s.
I saw it at 8 years old in theater, never forgot it. Still love it
"When you walk, you gotta walk like you're walking to music ..." Danny
"You can tell by the way I use my walk,
I'm a woman's man, no time to talk,
Music loud and women warm,
I've been kicked around since I was born
Now it's alright, it's OK ... " "Stayin' Alive" sung by the Bee Gees John Travolta in "Saturday Night Fever" movie 1978
"Tonight! 🎵🎼🎶 Tonight is your night, Bro! Tonight is your night, Bro!" One of my favorite scenes.
No more movies?😢
There was a sequel in pre-production for this called "Triplets" where Eddie Murphy was to play their missing brother. Just imagine that one. Sadly it was never made.
If you do more Danny DeVito movies, you gotta check out "Get Shorty" with John Travolta. "Ruthless People" with Bette Midler and Judge Reinhold (Billy in Beverly Hills Cop), he plays a great, sleazy bad guy. And "Throw Momma From The Train" with Billy Crystal, he also directed it. Totally twisted comedy.
Don't forger Renaissance Man. Soooooo goood!
"Ruthless People" is so good, and then they can also see Bette Midler not in a kids movie
I'd never seen this one. Thanks for sharing. Love you guys!
The girl singing in the bar is Nicollet Larson, she had the hit song “Lotta Love”, and the guitarist is the legendary Jeff Beck.
I loved Danny from Romancing the Stone and its sequel, Jewel of the Nile. Both need to be seen, if you haven't already. Of course, he was a "RASCAL" (loveable jerk) in the 70s tv show Taxi (which co-starred Christopher Lloyd). Danny is so great - I'm happy the newer generations are appreciating him, as well. btw - Danny and Arnold were in another movie called Junior. It's a little crazy but they are so much fun together! And I'm going to "steal" from a couple other comments: True Lies is the PERFECT Arnold movie (it's both sides to him, in one movie). And, Danny in Throw Mama From the Train is a great movie but I recommend you watch Strangers on a Train first. A) It's Hitchcock, so it must be seen B) Throw Mama is HIGHLY based on it... it's not a requirement to watch it before Mama but it will make Mama that much better (imo). LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!
So glad to see you smile Jay 😃 continuing to pray for you 🙏
I love this movie and it so funny too
The milkshake joke is priceless lol.
Where are you guys?
They have separate channels
"He's a force of nature." "You're out of control." 😂
you should watch Danny DeVito's 1994 movie Renaissance Man. It's in my opinion one of the DeVito's underrated movie! It's might be also one of the Mark Wahlberg's first movies!
I'm a fan of the late Gregory Hines.
@@seanswinton6242 wasn't Mark Wahlberg in that?
You have to see Arnold in Junior and True Lies! They are both fantastic!
Eraser - Arnold and Vanessa Williams
