Shannon, thank you so much for sharing your advice on how to package/mount artwork for shipping. Very useful, detailed, tips and links, and love the eco-friendly options too! Much appreciated.😊
Hi Shannon, I'm am hoping to launch my own business selling art prints in (fingers crossed) about a months time. I have a couple of business mentors and at my most recent meeting I was told to research packaging with a view to helping me price my work. Your video has been incredibly helpful and thank you so much for all the links. I am slowly working my way through your videos as I'm also hoping to do my first art fair this summer. In all your videos you come across as very genuine, warm and down to earth and I am finding all of them constructive and informative. Your work is stunning and original. Thank you for being so open and considerate to other prospective artist wanting to follow their dream. I should be thinking about retiring at 61 but instead I'm in the very exciting position of opening up a brand new chapter in my life and working for myself selling my original art and prints. Kind regards, Darren
Hi Darren, I’m so glad you’ve found this video and others on my channel helpful! Good on you for launching your own art business soon, I hope all goes well and it brings lots of opportunity for you! ☺️
Hello. Thanks for another walk through on your packaging process. You definitely put a lot of extra care in it! The option to go more eco-friendly is awesome. I have a question, if you'd be so kind to help me out. I work in pencil and pencil crayon, and a different style but do you put a smudge proof sealer overtop before packaging it all up?
Hey Heather! You’re welcome and thank you so much! ☺️ I don’t tend to put anything on it but I’ve been considering it lately. I know a few artists who use fixative on their drawings but I’m yet to try it. It’s worth a look into though!
Beautiful art and packaging. Here is a wee tip from me, try making two loops with the ribbon, then tie them together as you would on the first tie. You'll get a nice even bow ☺ I love the certificate and recycled ribbon.
Thanks Shannon! I think I saw how you price your art/prints in one of your videos, but I can’t find it. At craft fairs, do you write the cost on the frame?
Thanks so much for this, Shannon! This is super interesting and helpful. A bit of random question, but what tripod/overhead mount do you use to film your videos?
Thank you Daphne I'm glad you found it helpful! I use a Mofrotto arm and super clamp! They're 2 separate parts you have to attach together and I have a rail mounted on my wall that I then attach the clamped tripod arm to - I hope this makes sense!
