How to pack paintings for shipping

- In this video, I share how I pack paintings for shipping. Depending on the size of your painting, choose a container box that is at least 5 inches bigger all around to fit in after wrapping with bubble wrap.
MATERIALS USED : You can find these in any shipping/packing stores or online stores.
Glassine paper
Brown kraft paper
Bubble wrap
Masking tape
Scissors
Packing tape
Fragile stickers or tape
Stretch tape
Mirror box/ shipping container
Foam Boards

Nicely done! I find that the FedEx Airfloat system is great for large paintings. It is all I use now. I have a video showing it if you want to expand your knowledge base.

Hi! I just saw your video. Very nice. I use acrylic on canvas. You've said that glassine is a must for oil paintings. What is a must for acrylic paintings, while wrapping to preserve and take to art shows? Thanks.
Acrylic paints dry very fast and can be wrapped without glassine, but make sure its padded all around with some material while carrying elsewhere.where as oil paints which takes several weeks to even months to dry and thats the reason we cover the surface with glassine/wax paper. Hope this helps.

Nope! Try to use parchment paper as first layer when packing.
