Most of the time auto reviewers here just post videos on top trim levels of the cars they are reviewing and that most of the public cannot afford.
In my 2023 I was able to transport an 8 by 10 rug with my daughter in the car and a large cooler, groceries, a medium sized box with clothes inside and room for more.

The loss of magic seat and cargo space for a larger exterior dimension isn't an extra star
I have the 2023 HRV LX AWD, and it is a very great vehicle for a trim level. It still has all the most important features, and still has a very luxurious feel. It handles and rides beautifully, and is so easy to get in and out of this vehicle. The CRV was always out of my price range, so I really appreciate that Honda has created this wonderful affordable alternative. I’m in love with my new HRV, who I call Harvey. ❤
How's the mileage and merging speed?

@@sunitjoshi3573The gas mileage is not great at all to be honest. Definitely do not buy for fuel economy.
@@sunitjoshi3573 I get 20 in town, around 27 on highway. As far as merging, it is not the fastest vehicle, so you cannot simply fly out there. But I’ve had no trouble merging either.

Tiny detail, but wild they don't have a 12V in front. Lots of accessories still run off that. The prev gen had a 12V for front row and a 12V for back row.

By design, we cannot say that a loss of cargo space for a larger exterior dimension is an improvement
In Canada the base Hr-v is $1000 cheaper than the manual civic hatchback. In U.S. you have a good color choice. Here the only color available is a dark gray ...no charge but still no cheerful color .The 2 other choice : Black and white which are not colors & they charge extra for it . They really want us to go to a higher version .

That engine may have a 0 to 60 of a 1982 Pontiac 1000 with a 3 speed auto, but probably as reliable as a 1993 Toyota Camry.

The interior is much better than the Civic, especially the dash.
i just got this exact car and its awesome. my only complaint is it doesnt have keyless unlock which is inconvenient for after school since i usually leave my key in my bookbag

Crazy... A base RSX from 2003 has a 2.0l putting out more power overall and getting a better fuel economy. Why is Honda moving backwards? An Element, while being a K24, is AWD, older and much more powerful!
It’s called emission. Emissions get stricter every single year. No SUV is getting 30mpg highway back in 2003.
Just wish something pratical like the Element but with better fuel economy. Even the previous Hr-v used space more efficiently than this new one. To read all the praise here you have to believe that it's only the look that counts for U.S. buyers . The new Hr-v in Europe is something else. Not better than the old one but better than this model for N.-A.
I find the driver’s seat too narrow with the seat bottom bolsters.

That light interior will get dirty real fast. Black is the way to go.
I like the Honda quality. I might get one like that but honestly they’re real ugly. Very tasteless bland meaningless design, but I have to live with it.
