JUST PRE-ORDERD MY S-24U, AND I'M EXCITED! MOST PEOPLE WOULD SAY, THERE IS NO NEED TO UPGRADE TO THE S-24U FROM THE S-23U. BUT I USUALLY UPGRADE EVERY YEAR. I'LL TRY TO HOLD ONTO MY S-24U FOR SEVERAL YEARS.
I always upgrade every two years.
My upgrade path was the se 1, note 4, s9, s20fe, and now this phone. Oh boy am I excited for this phone!

The sim card tray is the reason everyone will get this phone. I'm never going to be a fan of "only esim" phones. Sim should always be an option.
e-sims are handy. I like them, so far anyway. My new iPhone 15+ has an e-sim. I do not own one of those sim card pop out devices so I could never manually get a sim card out of the tray before.
I bet you said the same thing when MacBook Air got rid of disk drive.

honestly I like esim more. from where I’m from our carriers already support it and when you want to buy one it’s so easy plus there’s this app that is very handy for traveling abroad which makes it so easy to buy sim cards you can even pre order before you arrive and I haven’t had any problems transferring esim from one phone to another or from one carrier to another plus the added protection when your phone gets stolen the thieves can’t remove your sim.

I mean its the same design just like the S22 and S22 Ultra. The flat screen with the anti reflective coating is a nice touch and the titanium gray color is sleek. The camera setup from the 200 megapixel wide lens and improved zoom capabilities seems like the same as usual. Nice to see u get ur hands on it Aaron!

S24 Ultra is the first Samsung device to get 7 years of software updates and most likely up to 10 years of monthly security updates!
You also have to pay for some software after 2025 and who has a phone for longer than 2/3 years? No charging brick at this price ,no thanks. The environmental excuse is spurious as Samsung subsidiary makes weapons of mass destruction.

@@mr.anthem well, you can’t use the Apple Watch with a Samsung phone. You have to have an iPhone for that. personally I’ll never use the s-pen, but it would definitely be helpful if you would like to draw or use that as an input device

I switched from the iPhone to the iPhone 5s years ago, and I am immensely pleased. Thank you for your consideration of various models; they have been exceedingly satisfactory. I find this model extremely appealing. I purchased it on the 30th violet s24 ultra.

I upgraded to this phone from. Galaxy S23 and I'm absolutely loving it. Great phone. Battery life is awesome and the performance is awesome. It's my first Ultra and I don't think I'll be going back to the base models after having an Ultra. The Ultra is just so nice. Honestly, as much as I loved the S23, I love this one even more and I do not regret my decision to upgrade.
Just got mine today will switch from the iPhone 14 Pro Max over the weekend when i can focus on closing down Apple subscriptions and log my passwords in case anything goes wrong plus get a case.

My Carrier surprised me on this one. They told me yesterday morning that it wouldn't ship until the 30th, then later that day it shipped out.
Plus the offered me $800 & a few perks for my S22 Ultra but I'm keeping my Wired earbuds even though I don't use them. lol

Generally good presentation, thanks. In general, I expected this to be about Unbox, Setup and a little first look. Instead it was a little bit of everything, much of which had nothing to do with getting my S24U going. I would suggest limiting videos to one subject one title. There were several things in the setup, like replying to the Send/Receive (or similar) message from the "old" phone. I suspect there were a bunch of other things which could have been covered on the setup.

I’m curious, so I’m a long time Apple user and I’ve always used an Otterbox on all my devices to avoid cracking the screen (which always worked for me), but this time I’m getting the S24 Ultra and I wanna know if an Otterbox is necessary? I’m gonna get the device protection plan for just in case purposes.

Ours didn't. We applied a #ZAGG Fusion hybrid screen protector.

Aaron the internet speeds from Spectrum are in the process of being upgraded. We are going to be offering full duplex starting from 1ghz down to 1ghz up as we move up to 5gbps and up using new equipment to take advantage of our high split network upgrade. Currently in Texas we are moving right along and as far as the Carolina’s that is coming soon.

I will definitely have to used my buttons being on the right side. I currently have a Note 10+, which is the only year they moved the buttons from right to left(I think).

The first Ultra is the hardest to get because you don't have a trade in. However, once you have a trade in, then they are a no brainer. I will end up paying $300 for the 512GB version of the S24 Ultra due to the promotionals and trade in offers.

The ONLY thing keeping me in the Appleverse and preventing me from getting the 24 is Carplay. I store and sync my music files on my phone and the functionality and sound quality of Apple Music on Carplay sounds fantastic on my Sony car head unit. Android just doesn't have anything that comes close to the music UI and sound quality.

15 pro max to S23u. Took it back for S24u preorder so back to 15 pro max for now. iMessage was weird getting away from and not being able to blur the home screen was annoying. Also I had to call in to get my sim transferred back to the iPhone. I didn’t like that

Can you compare the reflections of the s24u to an iPhone 15 Pro Max with a flolab screen protector that has the anti reflective coating? I always have a screen protector on my phone anyways, so I‘d be interested in how that anti reflection coating stacks up to Samsung’s.

I traded in my iPhone 14 Pro max through Samsung's website, and Samsung says it'll be delivered in March. there was no pickup option here in the tristate area. that's pretty lame if i have to wait till March when the phone launches next Wednesday

I’ve been hearing comments online lately about the screen colors being dull compared to the s23 Ultra due to the anti reflection screen. Is this an issue with yours or anyone’s in the comments?
I’ve always thought Samsung screens to be too vivid actually so if the colors are muted slightly that might be a welcome change
It's a bug, on certain models. Samsung will roll out bug fixes, seems vivid mode won't work on a certain model. It will get fixed.
