  • Losi introduces me to the new Tenacity Lasernut U4 Rock Racer, and after having a few hours with it, I'm considering changing the channel name to the Scale Basher's Guild! There's a ton of awesome scale detail, and robust construction in this buggy, and it's an absolute blast to drive. Stay till the end for the full running video.

    After owning an Arrma Big Rock and destroying a piece of it every time I took it out, I got one of these last year and have to say it’s amazing. I had to upgrade all of the drive train and suspension parts on the big rock to run it on 3S. The only upgrade tye Lasernut has had so far is the servo and that turned out to be unnecessary (I thought it was broken but I just needed to readjust my endpoints). I run it on 3S and it’s plenty fast enough and it jumps really well, stays really flat in the air. Would definitely buy again and would recommend to anyone 👍

    I'm new to RC cars, and a Lsernut is my second build. I threw out all Spektrum eletronics and added a hybrid sensored motor setup plus DJI O3 FPV gear and did some more modifications (see my channel) - now the Lasernut is a real FPV banger! So much fun to drive this car, the wishlist remains very short.

    @nicholasbarber4193 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yeah, this thing is pretty awesome! They did a really nice job making it very scale for a basher style of vehicle. They keep stepping up in that way the past few years. We compared our early access Lasernut to our demo Tenacity DB pro at the shop, and they are fairly different. The Lasernut has bigger, beefier, and longer arms, the chassis is different, the entire body structure is totally different, and several other things. It does share diffs, shock towers, and some other components like that, though. I actually looked through both manuals online, and it seems that the DB Pros that will be coming when they're off backorder will have some of these updated parts on them, but I can't say for sure. There were some parts that had the same part number in both manuals but were different designs in both manuals.

The AE Nomad General Grabbers work better for my project, if you own a Rock Rey maybe give them a try. They look appropriate and use sct wheels rather than 2.2" like the OEM tires. They're totally different trucks, hard to compare in my opinion. The Lasernut is open diffed, and meant for speed and bashing. The Bomber is definitely geared more towards rock crawling, less speed.

      In the past, yes. They were more fragile, and parts were discontinued for models as soon as the model was discontinued after only a year or two of being out. However, many of us in the industry explained this frustration to them, and they've completely changed. They keep models around much longer now, and then generally update them as opposed to getting rid of them. Parts are kept in production for a year or usually more after the vehicle is discontinued as well. A lot has changed in the last few years.
