Rich Homan Yup, it’s tough and has race like handling. I was impressed how it handled well on both rough and smooth surfaces without any set-up tweaks.
I know this is an older video, but it would be nice to see you race this on an RC track where there is not a lot of rocks in front of it, or rake those rocks out of the way. Either way, it's a good video review about this RC.
I ordered mine on Friday from Horizon Hobbies. I've been watching videos and reading reviews and I decided I had to get it. Only took me like 3 days of research before picking one up. Usually it takes a month if not more to choose. The only other RC I own that was even close to being purchased that quick was my Traxxas UDR. Took about two weeks to pull the trigger on that one. I'm not getting this one to bash or thrash on as I've got the Losi 3XLe and the Revo 3.3 to beat on. I beat on the Losi a little more because it's a little more protected with all the T-BONE racing parts on it, but I still chit whip the Revo when I run it. I liked your review of the DB Pro as you showed the Smart phone app and what it's all about. I think I'm going to get the Bluetooth module for my DB Pro. I've got a couple other RCs that are bound to a DX2E active transmitter as well but never even thought about getting the module for them. The 3XLe and Super Rock Rey. Neither have the parameters that the Smart technology has. Knowing the voltage of the batteries is great as I can shut it down when it hits storage voltage and not worry about putting a storage charge on it. I've got both the Dynamite and the Hobbywing program card and I wouldn't doubt one of them will work with this RC. I just wish that Losi put their low voltage cutoff at 3.4 volts in all their RCs rather than 3.0. Even better yet I would feel safer at 3.6, hense why I'm actually interested in the Bluetooth module for this RC with the Smart technology with volts per cell right on the phone. Very cool!!
@@BASSstarlet it’s great. The stock spectrum servo is slow. But I’ve found putting a large diameter aluminum horn helps steering throw. The motor is whisper quiet. Quietest rc I’ve ever had because the three diffs and everything is so precise there’s no rattling noises. Led bar is fragile. Already lost one light after a roof landing. No breakages yet. The shocks are small but have beefy thick rods so I don’t imagine them breaking. Arms are pretty thick too.
@@BASSstarlet Update: Ok. Lots of issues now 1. ESC broke off the chassis from small 2-3 ft jumps, no wipeouts. ESC is held on by only two screws and very weak plastic around the mounts. I zip tied it to fix it. 2. The steering is of course slow but if you get a new servo horn it can help slightly. Aside from getting a new servo itself. 3. Bent front shock shaft + broke bottom shock wishbone mount from the same 2-3 ft jumps. 4. Both front dogbones are bent and wobbly, also from minor bashing. 5. AVC is terrible, turn it off. 6. Tires, while very plush, wear very quickly. 7. The latch-lid body doesn't close properly with a battery inside and requires you to bend the body outwards. to close it. Overall, IMO, and I know Losi is a respected brand. But an ARRMA Typhon 6s is way more worth the bang for the buck in all fronts. Durability, speed, control and agility etc. The dogbones, shock shafts and arms are a lot thicker on the Typhon. This is clearly more of a racing buggy than a basher buggy, even though it is advertised as such.
Love mine but I am new to Rc cars I was wondering road looks really fast and what battery and gear are using I gave the stock 17t but there saying if you go with 3s to use 15t.. Thanks

The esc is 4S capable so it seems reasonable to be able to get this to 4S fairly simply with a motor swap. I'm thinking I could put a spare Arrma BLX motor I have in this and run on 4S. Of course, I need to get one first.

Get the hardened/lightened outdrives. I just put them in mine. Stock ones are soft and dont last on 3s. That stock servo is kinda trash too. I got a cheap amazon 35kg servo that is soo much better. Great car.
Rc driver got a question if I may my dbpro is breaking front hing pins an iv noticed that suspension won't bottom out in front was wondering y and if yours is also that way (no chassis slap in front )
It would be nice to see this Tenacity DB Pro side by side with the Losi Tenacity Lazernut . I would love both! Had the Tenacity MT. Broke in 2 first run. Hit it on right front and broke front assembly completely from main chassis. Should of waited for one of these.
Yes, a heavier oil will increase resistance and the suspension is compressed. You don’t want to go so heavy on the oil that it diminishes other handling characteristics.
Very nice LOL how Runtime?? not overheating problems with the electronic i have the old losi and i have a lot of overheating problem with 3S (not more than 4 -5 minutes and get really hot)

Anthony Pacis Xmaxx would be more fun I’d think. It would just be a lot bigger. If your looking for xmaxx size look at the dbxl e. I have a outcast 6s and love it. This thing is smaller at 1/10 scale than the other cars mentioned. Have fun and I hope you love what every you end up with! :)
After having this buggy for a few months now. Would you still recommend buying it? I've been really looking at this machine and would really like to own it. Any feedback would be great. This machine is on back order right now so I have some time to think about it

I would get the Kraton man. Its a little bit bigger and more powerful. However this Losi looks more premium with all the aluminium parts. I do think durability is around the same. It's up to you :)

Hi, can you help to make a video "How to Binding and Calibrating the receiver"? i followed instruction but it does not work for me. when i pull "full throttle" it will go with "brake/reverse" and vice versa. thank you so much for your help in advance.
@Vape N Clash it's ok, I already know the answer. The transmissions on these cars are almost guarantee to fail with the stock setup. They can be modified with aftermarket parts, most do. I note nothing is mentioned here, I don't know, but my guess is this TH-cam video was sponsored, so I would take anything mentioned in the video with a pinch of salt.

You should point out that the telemetry will display a voltage read out with “dumb” batteries as well. Very handy feature.

I snapped the front arms off twice three weeks into owning mine, I decided to put vitavon lasernut arms on, and I haven't had a breakage since.

Oh and the exotek ball bearing steering for this is awesome. Takes all of that slop out of the steering.

How do you think this compares to the TLR Typhoon RTR and the Slash Ultimate in general?

Did losi change the diffs in the tenacity line? Or just the db? The diffs in the tenacity T suck, rebuilt diffs twice in a yr!

You have a successful binding, but need to reverse your throttle channel. There should be a setting for that on the transmitter or the ESC.
