I've never seen the sawtooth method before. Looks like a fun and unusual to use on shelving. I'll have to try this on my next shelving unit. Thank you Marc for making woodworking more fun.😀🙃🙃
Love the sawtooth standards...such a classic method for supporting shelves. Fits in perfectly with this piece. As you said, it doesn't outwardly compete with the rest of the cabinet. Very nice~!
When I saw those shelf support holders, I didn’t understand how they worked but after continuing to watch, now I see how they work and the detail they added is pretty cool! I love how you think of all these cool little details to add to your projects! Thanks Marc for sharing these videos!
That is awesome! I've only been woodworking for about 4 years and I have never seen an adjustable shelf system like that. I'm really glad I watched this video
Love the shirt, my favorite childhood memory is my knees not hurting just turned 42. 20 years teaching public school Woodworking and 22 years residential construction. Go figure
I am working on shelves for my home office. I despise shelf pin holes but needed adjustable shelves. I looked at the "saw tooth" design but went with a half round and I just love it. same principle but you have half rounds instead of the saw tooth. Saw it on some old furniture pics.
Love it, this is one of my favorite build series I've ever seen from anybody. The in depth instruction is so helpful. Are the courses on your site as detailed or even more?
My opinion. Shelf pins would be a cleaner look. Also easier to install. I do agree that it is not necessary to flood the sides with shelf positions. The five you used would be enough. For thin things maybe one set nearer the top. Thank you for sharing. Have a great day and stay safe.🙂🙂
Not sure whether this is a TH-cam thing, or specifically with your videos, but I get a bourbon moth logo next to the video , if I watch this on my phone🤔 Absolutely beautiful piece, though.

I love how you have random bottles of tight bond in the shot even though you're not doing a glue up, that's why you're my favorite

Same here.
Great build and great series Mark, such a clean but vintage look.
That shelf support system belongs in that cabinet. Classic.
Brilliant way to support shelves. Thanks!

Me neither. Its pretty awesome and definitely in the memory bank for future builds :)
I did the same thing with a tv cabinet for shelves, my clients (friend) loved it :)
Thanks, Mark I love this series. Scott

I have never seen those adjustable selves before. Very cool, and fancy. 👍
Very beautiful looks amazing love how you do the shelves like this. Thanks for sharing
Lots of ideas about shelving support that way. Even square supports (versus the 45 deg you chose), for an industrial look. Very nice.
These were the standard 100 years ago for adjustable shelves.
Seeing them come back over the past couple of years is cool to see.
It's really nice, and a lot of great information.
I love all of your videos like everybody else!!
This piece really looks beautiful! 👍👍
Thanks very much!
That is so cool, doing the shelving that way would be able to take a lot of weight.
Yeah total overkill for an application like this but it was fun to make.
You are such a great teacher!
Thank you! 😃
Great video as always

Looks good, thanks

Did you know that you do voice over for a science Channel? Officialinterstellarnews, or something like that? Pretty kewl!
good job
Fantastic
Love it!
I have that same shirt, and sentiment.
When you install the Saw tooth You glued, the middle part which has got rid of any allowance for expansion on the Middle
End panels.
Poor kitty cat wanted scritches and you didn't even give him any. 🤣🐈🙁

Do you have any concern about humidity causing those shelf supports to swell and become too tight to remove from the sawtooth?

What's that white marking tool you're using on the walnut?
White pencil ...
He must of seen you coming before he posted... It is linked in the description.
It’s a tailors pencil.
Classic
Very co
You have high shelf standards …
I'd go with shelf pins. Minimalist. The sawtooth juice isn't worth the squeeze.
2:02 OMG What the hell was that?
