    Check out the Outdoor Smart Plug by Wyze.. It's dirt cheap and has 2 outlets that are individually controllable and schedulable. also outdoor rated so a bit of tank water won't really harm it.

    I wish I had started keeping live plants sooner. It was such a pain trying to keep my fish alive with plastic plants. I had it in my head that trying to keep live plants was hard. I was very wrong.

    The Plan - if I can't care for my fish for whatever reason, is an excellent idea! Things to do if I'm unable; a few days - some time - a while - forever. Really smart! Maybe you should make a document and sell it on line? Boxes to tic, columns to fill, chores to cover. Easy Plan - for you, your tanks and people around you. Better safe than sorry - what to do when the owner is unable to. If one lives alone then Easy Plan is for the nice neighbour, the amergency contact at work, your landlord, health care people, whomever will get the task to care of your animals or organise help if you happen to end up in hospital or get stuck on a tripp. I love instructions and to feel safe in knowing what to do, so maybe I like this idea more than 'normal' people do... but it would be nice...!

    I started with one tank. before I knew it I had a 45 tank fish room built up over about 4 years. Numerous pumps, types of filters etc.. Finally converted to one large piston pump and a combination of sponge and box filters. Maintenance time went drastically down. LED light strips with timers came next, more hours saved from turning stuff off and on.Thinking about building an auto water changer and drilling aquariums but need to spend some more time doing research and thinking it through. The more time you spend thinking about it and researching about it, the less time you will spend regretting something you did not think through.

    I have peacocks in my 125. I have a albino blood dragon that is in a 10 gallon. He was getting beat up. Is it ok to add new fish in the 10 gallon and quarantine the new fish with the one that was getting beat up?

    • @TazawaTanks
      @TazawaTanks  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It would be better to do it separately. Your fish that is beat up will be weak, and more susceptible to something that your new fish may be carrying.

    hey so i am looking to buy a tank which is pretty expensive, so do i have to buy a canister filter like right now with the tank or i can just use the pump to change water every month and use live plants and stuff to maintain the clean water however the tank is coming with a hang on filter which apparently isn't powerful enough... so can i do this couple months and then buy a canister? what do u say?

    • @TazawaTanks
      @TazawaTanks  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It depends on what you are going to do with the tank (plants, number of fish, feeding habits, etc.). I would say for a light to medium stocked tank with a decent amount of plants, you will probably be fine with the HOB filter that it comes with, and maybe an air stone.

      @@TazawaTanks so u suggest i dont really need the cannister. And its a 130L so around 35 gallon and i might add small size cichlids or maybe 2-3 small size oscars in it

      @@abidhussain-sz1wb definitely should not put an Oscar in a tank that small. Oscars should be in something at least 280 liters/120cm wide. As far as filtration, that’s probably ok.
