Thanks! As usual, your video was concise and to the point. No B.S. background distractions like kids, pets, stupid skits and jokes. You value our time as viewers as much as we do. I appreciate that. So I'm sending this $$ gift to show that appreciation and to say thanks. Peace and God bless you and your family.😎✌🖖🤘🙏
I have the same Mower. When Craftsman built it they didnt use a heavy enough deck metal. So what I did was reinforce it with some 1/8" plate metal. I also replaced the spindle, Blade, and Belt. Also, I never use it with Tires that are Low on Air Pressure!!
Howdy, thanks for the great tutorial. The only thing I see or should I say try to see when your working under the mower doing deck and belt replacement is proper (Lighting). Enjoy watching and seeing your mechanics. Great knowledge. Thanks again
I appreciate that you uploaded this video. I had to replace my Troy Bilt 30" mower deck and its basically the same. Your video helped me to swap all the hardware over.
Great video....Do you know how to level the deck in this mover. I have the same R1000 but they cutting shorter in the right side. Can you tell me something....thanks
I do have a video on leveling but front to back is the only adjustment on the mowers deck. If you are having a side to side level issue most times it is a tire pressure issue. If that is not the case a hanger bracket or deck mount is bent
Get video. I have the same mower. That L-shaped tension spring you showed going back on when you changed the bracket is broken on mine and that arm just flops. I cant find the spring on the schematic...any idea of part number?
Been looking through all your power washer videos Helping a friend. Do you have one? Don’t have unit yet. Told not running, very hard to pull over even w/o hose. Looking for quick way, valves vs pump froze. Thanks
Sorry no video on anything like this yet. I do have one coming up on a power washer with this same issue but it ends up just being an engine issue (flooded crankcase) not a pump issue or stuck valve
I have this mower, I'm having an issue where when the blade is engaged, it quickly loses all of it's speed unless you hold the lever down hard. Belt size is correct, PTO cable replaced, same issue. I know my blade brake is worn out like the one you show, but not thinking that could cause the issue I'm having. Seems like it's not getting the tension that it needs to spin all the way up. Do you have any suggestions for me?
@IndRepair Thank you for a quick response and this information. I'm having trouble removing my mowers blade and questioned if I was trying to loosen or tighten the bolt. This info helps me. Thanks again.
@@IndRepair I ordered one off Amazon came with carburetor fuel line gas filter shut off valve and air filter was going get orings out this carb and use but bolted on and runs fine guy done mowed 4 yards with it thanks for responding I enjoy you’re videos thanks again
I have a cub cadet cc30h and every time i engage the blade the belt comes off. Your video solved my problem i believe. Mine has so much slop in it when i wiggle it up and down! The idler bracket and shoulder spacer you used and have a link to, do those same parts work for my cub mini rider? Thanks, and thanks for the video!
I have the craftsman R140 for 4 years. Still works great regardless of all the steering and deck videos I see. Thanks for the info. Good God man, take a few hours and clean up your shop. How do you find anything?
Lol it is much cleaner now didn't have a great system and it just gets crazy this time of year. I always find what I need because I have multiples of everything but it is much more efficient now that I have it set up the way it needed to be. Doesn't help when the help you have leaves anything anywhere. Better employees and setup = more organized. Thanks for watching and for your comment!
Have a new Cub cadet CC 30h (10hrs) and that belt keeper bracket fell off . Evidently wasn't torqued very tightly at the factory. As a result it got thrown up into the PTO pulley and bent it all to hell plus sliced right through the deck belt. The parts diagram shows a 1/4-20x5/8 bolt, no washer. When I put mine back together it's going to have not only a flat washer but a bunch of locktite too. Definitely don't won't that coming loose again.
I have the same mower and when the blade is engaged gets a lot of vibration. Went through the things you mentioned and the comeback at the start of your video does not move at all. Do you have an item number and think it might fix the issue or is there more to it? I changed the blade as well and am doing belt next.
@@IndRepairthanks didn’t use the option. Removed carb and soaked in cleaner. Appears just a dirty needle seat assembly. Back on and will clean gas tank. We shall see.
Don't knock these mowers, with the proper maintenance and storage they are just as good if not better than most of the front engine mowers. I've got two of them. Rer1000 and a r110. The rer 1000 is well over ten years old and still running strong. I relgated it to my daughter house and I bought a New one. Keep the oil change and out of the weather. They cut great for smaller yards. Not meant for commercial use, but great around 1/2 - 3 1/4 acer.
I have my Mother's R1000 with a no start condition. Also, the blade turns while turning the engine over. She leaves it outside, so anything is possible. (Facepalm)
Do any of these people actually take 1 minute to clean the mower after use? A leaf blower and not cutting grass that's 12" high and wet would really help the mower's longevity.
Very rarely do they come in clean. Most people just start it up, mow and put it away with wet grass. Definitely hurts the longevity and they wonder why it needs a full rebuild after a few years
Thank you so much for caring enough to make this video. Thank you for your time and for teaching us. You are a wonderful person.

Definitely weak metal like most MTD decks. Thanks for watching!

Weird issue. Are you sure the brake is moving away from the pulley when blade is engaged?
Hi, I have the Craftsmam version of this mower, r1000, what is the correct socket size and direction of thread for the blade. Thank you.
24mm socket (15/16" works also) standard threads right tighty lefty loosey

I modified the keeper on the tensioner pulley so the Sleeve over that the thin bolt can roll instead of being stationary which will wear the belt.
Good tip! Thanks for watching!

I have another video on this at th-cam.com/video/ezs4xas53O4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=W1UBKszV2P-2ZUy5 are you taking about the part I am moving here?
The idler arm?
Working on a. Generator carb. and don’t own a lift. Would it cause any damage if sat upright on opposite end? Thanks
You talking tipping it so carburetor is up in the air? Normally this will be ok but I would drain the fluids first
@@IndRepair thanks. That was a concern. Needs a needle and seat. Runs great but leaks gas.

What size belt is that ??
I am not sure, definitely use the OEM replacement 954-05001 Belt ( amzn.to/47PdG7B )
The plus to these is they can go through a standard fence gate...😊
Absolutely one of the great features!
Thank u
Thanks for watching!!
Change my spindle on that 30 inch deck, and now my brake won’t line up with the pulley
Hmm, did the spacer get installed differently than it was before? The old and new spindles are the same visually I take it?
Sure is a cute little feller. I'd be so embarrassed to mow with this thing lol
I agree! I'd look like a grown man riding the amusement park ride intended for Kids!

It's always 90-95 with a 100% humidity here in central Florida and riding this little mower sure beats a walk behind any day

Looks like You have a shop filled with Craftsman! I feel You pain working on this consumer garbage! I'm surprised You could find the parts to fix it!
We work on a lot of consumer and commercial equipment but this smaller throwaway stuff is definitely more difficult parts wise!
I think you may have solved my problem, thank you
Awesome news!
Might want to work on those 📷 skills.
For sure!
They really do more damage by trying to fix it themselves 😢😢😢plus spend more money for sure 😊
