Awesome video!! I have a factory Aerokit and I’ve been wanting to get the EMC2 kit since they announced it late last year. The side skirts and rear skirt will finish the look of the Aerokit IMO. And I want to throw the front lip on my wife’s Boxster. Good to see the material is heavy and durable. Kind of hard to see how much of an impact the kit has on a black car, but definitely noticeable. Ribs look tasty too!
I bet on a yellow car that black trim would be bangin. I’ve already scuffed four or five times and the lip has held up really well to the abuse. But I have learned some new parking lot angled exit techniques.😂
@@motorsandmeats88Yeah it should stand out a bit more in yellow. Over the weekend I was test fitting spacers. While looking at my “comparison pics” of the different sizes it realized the wheel gap looks huge. So that got me thinking about a drop, but a small one. But not sure I wanna mess with ride quality. This stuff is an endless cycle!! LOL!! 1st world problems!!
@@K1dPhresh1 ha. For real. I’m gonna use the Eibach lowering springs on this car. Supposed to be no more than 1 inch drop. I used H&R lowering springs on the 996. I hear that the H&R springs for this one can drop it over an inch and a half. Might be too much for an S model that already sits a little lower than a standard Carrera.
@@motorsandmeats88 that’s the same conclusion I came to: Eibachs. I’d be content with 3/4 of an inch drop I think. Don’t care for the slammed look and certainly don’t want to compromise the ride.
Question, the 997 OEM front lip that came with the car, how low does that compare to the new EMC2 front lip... is it about the same or one lower than another? Thank you! About to make my order this week so needed to ask
Great question. The stock lip is only about a half of an inch projecting down from the underside of the bumper cover. The 991/EMC2 lip sticks down about 2 inches. I definitely recommend ordering the front splitters as well to complete the look of the front lip spoiler. If I remember correctly, there should be a checkbox when you place the order to include the splitters. That’s what I’ve got.
@@motorsandmeats88 ugh! I already scrapping when I have some 1.5 inches lowering springs coupled with my stock lip. So if I get the emc2 I’m going to scrape more. Did you experience that
Yes, I have to pay attention to entering and exiting parking lots. The underside of my lip spoiler is pretty rough now, but not visibly so. Looks perfect.
Great video Michael - thanks for your support and all the effort that went into creating this. Your 997.2 looks amazing!!
Sooo happy to have this done! The whole idea of making real Porsche parts work so well across the 911 generations speaks to me. I’m a fan 😬
Thank you for work into your video and sharing! It looks so good with the OEM look which you can't get with the usual aftermarket stuff.
I’m happy to contribute in whatever way I can to the Porsche community. And thanks for the compliments on the look of the car!
Looks much better than I thought it would. Makes me want to get the kit for me now, lol. Good video.
Thanks buddy! I’m pretty sure they have widebody available.
Wow. That does look killer!!
Thanks, Andre! I’m super pleased with it.
Aswome upgrade and looks phenomenal. Another great video.
I love it! Thanks for watching.
initially came here to hate on downgrading the best gen 911 (997) with inferior gen parts and surprisingly i don't hate.
Ha. Thanks for sticking through it. Those 991 pieces look really at home on the 997!
good job bud! I think it would look cool had you painted those parts first before install. either way looks great.
Thanks for watching😬

@@K1dPhresh1 I liked the H&R‘s on the 996, but it rode, what seemed like, a lot higher than my 997 before lowering it.
Thank you. On a red car I assume I’d want to paint the parts?
It can go either way. I recently saw a blue car that had all of these parts left in the black color and it looked amazing.
With the 3m rubber gasket is wind getting through and has it stayed in place well? Hard to tell how much pressure is applied from spoiler.
It is holding up really well actually! No signs of wear, and it appears to be sealed up, preventing air from slipping through as far as I can tell.
I wish they made that for the 996.
