- I Bought a Turbo Diesel 4x4 Zombie Killer! Today is the day! Finally time to win an auction! Join me as we head to R Nagoya auction and purchase this awesome 1993 Mitsubishi Delica Star Wagon. This Delica has the 4D56 turbo diesel engine and is the 4x4 model. It also comes with shades, JDM yellow fog lights and a FREAKIN REFRIGERATOR! I am super excited to get this thing cleaned up, modded and back to the US where we will have lots of fun with it. Hope you all enjoy! Thanks for watching!

these Delica vans were brought here in the Philippines as imports. and i swear, even in the worst running condition of the van, it won't die.
The only one thing I hate about this van is its high center of gravity and thin tires which makes it so easy to roll over. My uncle who is a priest once owned a van like this rolled it over after narrowly avoiding a jaywalking pedestrian.
@@brns.999 plus the fact that it's converted from LHD to RHD. It's difficult to do a U turn.

My dad got the 97 Diesel Delica that thing is a beaaast. And looks even better
The GTR was wicked for what it was, but there was only so much you could do with it. This Delica is gonna make for a lotta awesome content!

I owned a Mitsubishi L300 4x4 when I lived in Oz. Pretty much the same but with less fancy trim. Used to disappear for long weekends, so much fun!
I remember the white Mitsubishi Delica you saw in a parking garage in one of your older videos and were walking around it and stuff. It was a white colored one with 4x4 tires and brush bar etc and thats where i remember you first saying that you wanted one and now you got one😎🙏

Jackie Chan drove a sick 84 Delica in wheels on meals. Cool movie, the name was made that way because the company had 2 movies that started with m before and those did terrible so they flipped it and wheels on meals did great
We had this delicas back in the Philippines! Those are soo cool.. made really for off roading and comfort at the same time.. captain seats are soo comfy.. usually executives would own this.

You got a really nice van,what I planning to do was to look for delica chamonix that’s the version that I want to buy as soon as I come back to the Philippines my wife already agreed with me about it.
To translate, I'm gonna get a Delica Chamonix and I'm not gonna be sleeping in it once I get it.
I'm also A proud owner Of that model Delica4x4 also same variant here in Philippines, the difference is my Delica4x4 is converted to Left hand drive.

That van is killer! You could even wrap it to advertise Garage Defend once it’s state side, if you wanted. It could be a rolling billboard. I feel there’s a good market for those quirky JDM vehicles in the states. Also when it comes to the Delica overlanding is becoming more and more popular and some of the 4x4 overlanding vehicles go for ridiculous prices. There is a demand for 4x4 vans (at least the full size ones) since they are few and far between. If you watch the prices of full size 4x4 vans in the US they bring top dollar since they were mostly custom built from companies like quigley. I realize there is a big difference between something like a Ford E350 and a Delica nonetheless Delicas should sell good here especially little diesels. Th only thing we really had comparable to it in the states was the Toyota Previa and good examples of those nowadays if you can find one can be quite pricey but they do kind of have a cult following. I’d also be curious to see how those Mitsubishi J53 Jeeps would do in America as well???
You should do more videos about everyday cars more often..kinda love it..besides..its cheap..as long it got turbo..
I used to have the Mitsubishi Delica l300 super exceed . Mine was identical to yours . Same colour etc . Same year and came from Nagoya. As soon as you get it to the U.S get it waxed oiled as mine started to rust very quickly once I had it for a couple of years in the uk. I took mine off road 4x4 and also put a tow bar on the back to pull a caravan . Mine had a few things go wrong like the viscous fan went brittle and broke. The rubber seal on the diesel fuel pump perished and was leaking diesel. Had seal replaced and all was good . Keep an eye on the crankshaft pulley as mine the bolt worked loose and wore the crankshaft. Apart from the bits I fixed I loved it as it was an amazing vehicle. Fantastic 4X4 for going up banks and sand dunes and rough terrain . These were very popular in the uk around 10 - 15 years ago. Plenty of spares for them here in the uk 🇬🇧 . My last purchase was a 1993 Honda Integra with angel eyes. Paid £800 and got it Shipped to the UK . Great videos, Good luck 👍

the Daihatsu minicabs made their way to michigan at one point, found one as a maintenance man's golf cart at a apartment complex called woodbury in ann arbor. why they have one or where from who knows but it serves really well and they claim its pretty full proof i wanna say i noticed they lost the battery cover and ran it on a golf car battery or something

(my famaly was in it . no one was hurt ),we flipped it in montana,anaconda. it is now with no roof and a dune buggy for a hick over there,he bought it from me,as he never seen a diesel van like this . he saved my trip with that money . sad thoe love to have a nother one

Would love to see if you ever sport an Toyota Estima vans at auction, you can buy a rear-wheel drive version with a 2.4 supercharged petrol engine and lots of time owners put air-bag suspension on them plus body kits, they look so good :-)
I recomend to you find mitsubishi space gear super exceed 2.8 4m40 turbo diesel intercooler ,much better and more space.

Ya, but you cant take it to off roading, like Delica.
Delica is really proper off road bus. Short wheel base, propper suspension and ground cearance.
I used to have that and it was such fun car to take off road. And still you can fit 7 adults in with no broblem.

This era Delica's, Hiace's, and the kei vans/trucks are really popular import items here in the Pacific Northwest. I never see Delica's like this sell for less than 10k. There are a couple for sale now that have no icebox and similar mileage for 14k.

Mitsubishi don't know how to market the delica, this is a practical van for the family and very good for business too.
See a few of these in Australia and am absolute crap load when I went to New Zealand.
Mate had one and it was a lot better than I gave it credit for.
