I've got a gen 2 hayabusa, do I need my stock shift arm near 1 o'clock, what are the benefits of this , I've been trying to look for the stock position of the arm as when I put it into neutral the green light on dash has some issues finding itself

Yes there is , your foot is above the shifter while leaning & accelerating out of a left hand curve *
I’ve bought 2 used bikes and had to make these adjustments since it was to low for my foot.
