    Recently, Stinger has added a 4 camera under body camera kit (IIRC about $700) that is said to work separately from the high 10 or in conjunction with it. (If I am reading the sales pitch right.) Apparently it could connect to a rearview anytime mod / stock system (it would be somewhat useless on stock), or to a single channel of the high 10 and allow single camera, or split screen viewing.
    IMO a high 10, or other mod that allows up to 4 camera feeds with backup cam, forward grill cam, the 4 channel stinger underbody (with one forward, one rear, and 2 under the mirrors for blind spot), plus an aftermarket birds eye 360 camera system (which can be acquired from Amazon for ABOUT $200) would produce some amazing visibility on a truck that is otherwise a bit lacking in the visibility department.

    You could install the side view cameras still with your current camera setup!
    Install a PAC VS41, and run your current reverse camera into the priority #1 camera input. Side cameras into camera #2 and #3.
    Wire your reverse trigger to priority #1's trigger, and trigger #2 and #3 to turn signal wires.
    Then connect the video output to your Heigh10 reverse camera input, and the monitor trigger from the vs41 to the reverse trigger of the Heigh10.
    Now it will display the reverse camera as it used to, but will add turn signal activated side cameras. You would still be able to access the reverse camera with the on screen icons.
    The VS41 Has built in timer/buffer to it can take the pulsing turn signal inputs just fine. The old school method was to use timer relays, not anymore😊
    You could even use this to extend any of the 4 Heigh10 camera inputs. Make a bed mlunted cargo cam, a down facing front or rear bumper cam,etc. Just use a momentary switch to activate them! If you did one vs41 to each Heigh10 input, thats 16 cameras!😂

    For the anytime front and rear cameras you installed before, does the switch still work for the front and rear cameras? I upgraded my head unit to an aftermarket radio and was wondering if those functions still worked.

    I literally have the same model year and color as yours, and I am embarrassed as to how much more utility that you've been able to eek out of your ride than myself. Once my truck is paid off (Apr. 2024), I will be doing mods left and right with gusto. Thanks for being an inspiration for all Tacoma users, and fingers crossed, I will be able to resist trading my faithful Taco for the Gen 4 model that is about to be released. 😉😉

    I pre-ordered a Heads Up Display from Hudway last year. I like that it links to my phone with Bluetooth and can be connected to extra cameras. There is a front camera that uses infrared/night vision to see through fog and snow. It also has extra side cameras available, so when the right turn signal is activated the right side camera image appears on the HUD. Your underbody camera helps if you don't have a spotter. It would be great if you could connect a "T" fitting and longer hose to your windshield sprayer. Then DIY a small metal bracket and install an aftermarket spray nozzle pointed at your underbody camera to remove mud/dust. You could adjust the camera angle by making wedges out of sheet metal (even a pop can) folded over and drill holes for the screws or bolts to go through.

      Did you actually get your Hudway? They have been ridiculous about shipping them..

    • @aerynlovell4754
      @aerynlovell4754 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @hammer7338 I know they had production delays because the subcontractor building the lens couldn't deliver, and they had to find another manufacturer. Then there were issues with production during quarantine but I have been getting email updates and last week they said my order is at a delivery hub in the United States and I will receive it in the next 2 weeks. I think I may have actually ordered it 2 years ago, but I really want the infrared/night vision camera so I can see the road in a heavy snowstorm.

    Picking up my 23 OR MT this weekend :) Just started digging into your channel. Great content! Would definitely like an update on the HEIGH10. Did the HEIGH10 improve resolution from the stock camera(s) at all? Or is resolution limited by the cameras themselves? Did you ever consider the Sony XAV-9500ES Plug & Play over the Stinger?
    4th Gen looks pretty nice! 14” infotainment?! Grab the popcorn! Definitely think it would be wise to wait a couple years before making the leap. Hope your feeling better!

    • @ChloeKuo
      @ChloeKuo  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Congrats on your new truck! And as far as I can tell, the resolution on the rear camera (my only factory one) is limited by the camera and not the screen. The aftermarket 1080p cameras come up nice and clear.
      I saw the Sony XAV-9500ES on a truck last year at SEMA, and I personally didn't like the way it mounted compared to the HEIGH10, and some of the UI as much. That was just my very first impression though, and it would be cool to do a comparison video on the two!

    I already have and use the anytime front camera i don't see me adding more to see underneath the truck as cool as it looks. the front camera will have to be a good enough replacement spotter in my opinion. It doesn't look like you do anything near technical enough to need this either.
