I've been big on photography for about a decade, got to say the G7X is one of the goat. The features you get for the price and size is amazing, with almost no negatives in terms of quality. Idk why Canon stopped making them. Sony still make theirs though, the Z-V1 is a good alternative.
We're regressing as a race lmao, smartphone cameras we're made to replace point and shoots like this, and now they're returning giving you the exact same pictures like the phone in your pocket. Don't see the appeal other than having the hand feel of holding a camera
Wrong, theres a very visible difference. The camera’s images are a lot cleaner, offers more beautiful bokeh and overall processes the pictures nicer due to its larger sensor sizes.
Only high end smartphones can probably match G7X's quality and they are generally around $1000. You can find a used G7X II at 1/4th price of an iphone, for around $250. Add to that the storage problem which you generally face in a phone and also the rotating screen which a phone does not have.

The fact that these photos could look really good by simply not using the flash

Try it with the BR-e1 remote control, game changer. Only work with MK3 not 2.
It’s an lcd screen, not a viewfinder 👍🏾👍🏾
Hi , I also own a g7x but I don’t see the special effects tab , may I know how u did it ?
Top left hand corner u will see a little box, click it and u will see the menu with special effects
I would say an alternative would be sony rx100 mk 1-4 and Panasonic lumix lx100
Is the mark 7 worth it!?
If u can get in the right price , heck yah
Is the g7x alot different to the A5100 sony since i have this and im trying to get a new camera
Nah keep the a5100 it’s better

When I take photos of me with 10 seconds, I don’t get a good background it’s gets pail and white in the surrounding:/
It’s a good camera but there are better value options especially now the price will be ridiculous cos this camera is trending.
🤩🤩🙌🏼
