I saw the bonsai tree in the background and thought, “What a cool idea to have a bonsai tree in the little Japanese camper.” Then you mentioned it. Cool!
I really Love the Fact that you don't eat a lot od prepared foods...You take the Time and Thought to cook yourself up Healthy Meals !! Good Man !! Have Fun !!
That view point you stayed at is around 1800 ft. and I’ve seen it full of snow before after really cold storms. Great wineries up there too. Congratulations on making the grades 👍
Right in my neck of the woods! Highly recommend stopping by solvang next time you’re in the area. Cool little European town with a nice drive to it. There’s also an ostrich farm/sanctuary not far where you can walk up and feed a bunch of ostriches for like $5.
10:45 Glad to see you met a low power friend. Those only have like 80hp, which is double what you have i guess but still not that much given that it weights more like 3k (almost a civic, which has 140 or more). Most people swap the engine out.
That Japanese Barbecue Sauce has become one of my favorite things to incorporate in the kitchen - $11 for a big bottle at Costco! Can't recommend it enough.
I'm glad I get to take a break from school and work to watch your videos. Seeing you do van/mini truck life keeps the dream alive for me to do it after I graduate if I work remotely. SO thank you! : ]
Just moved away from Santa Barbara and I miss it so I appreciate you sharing your driving journey near Lake Cachuma Ryan! Glad to see the mini truck conquering the California coast like a champ!
These were my old stomping grounds before I moved back home to Texas. Be sure to ask local people how to pronounce names of places like Lake Cachuma and Gaviota Pass!
Another dope video man. Thanks for being you, and making these video’s. Crazy how much you can help people without even knowing it. You’re a huge anxiety relief for me man, and I appreciate you. Cheers as always dude
Love your videos man. Your little truck gives me good memories. I was stationed in Japan when I was in the Marines in my youth and I used to drive that exact same truck for our shop. We used it for supply runs to the big base because we were on the outer bases . I always volunteered to go so I could drive that truck…lol. They were super fun to drive. Me and couple of buddies would race them on the highways.lol. I want to get one for myself. I’m seeing more and more of them now, even in the East coast. Keep trucking man.
Congrats on completing that epic road trip in your self-converted mini truck! You’ve truly turned that little rig into something beautiful-and I mean that in every sense of the word, considering how many times you used it! 😂 But seriously, amazing work and can’t wait to see what you conquer next!
Love when you alerts pop up on my feed. Thx for amazing content dude. You driving this little truck always reminds me of that Sally Field line in Smokey and the Bandit...."I've got the metal to the petal and the thing to the floor". Little truck is a beast!
Hey Ryan when you going up hill try to shift the little truck into 2nd gear it will be better. Also get one of those backup mirrors that always stay on.
@@kathybell4878 Day old rice works best because it doesn't stick or become mushy, if you do cook the rice and make the fried rice in the same day put it in the fridge for at least an hour.
I can relate to your comment about making people smile regarding your truck. I was filling up my high top Promaster and a Vietnam vet was using the other pump...he looked to the top of my van and said "you could live in that" ...without missing a beat I smiled and said yes I do...and my motorcycle goes under the bed. Keep the content coming. It is fun to see all the places I can't get to yet. Thanks!
I get a kick out of your joy filled vlogs. When you talk to people about your little camper especially. The sceneries in this one was so inspiring. I also think youre getting in on the wrong side even after you said it & put your bonsai bush on the passenger seat! I thought you were getting in!!! & only 2 secs had passed. 😅
Hiya- just wanted to help you out with some pronunciation since you were in my neighborhood: Gaviota= ga-vee-oh-tuh Cachuma = Ka-chu-ma. Hope you enjoy your visit!! 😊
Yo Ryan, I literally had one of these un modified Japanese trucks cut me off today driving home. I initially thought it was a golf cart. It is CRAZY how narrow they are! Good grief man, props to you for camping and living in something that small !!!
when I was in the military we had one of the japanese mini trucks, called it the 'mitz'. what I learned to drive a manual on, great learning platform. that thing was beat to absolute doo doo and lasted for years, so i'm sure your truck will be fine at least for a little while as looks in better shape than what I used
I live 25 miles up the road from Kiwi's Pub and Grill! I definitely will drop by after giving Rick the owner time to get back and say I saw him on your video. By the way, the pub gets very good reviews. Luv your mini camper!
Bro when you’re going uphill put the gear shifter in the position one below drive it downshifts the transmission to keep you in a higher rpm lower gear which helps you get over mountains faster
Mini truck could def use some adjustments for an extra pop up that hill. I wonder if you could partner with a company to check it's aerodynamics for simple changes.
Lol. I live in South FL where it is flat. Had a Jeep Wrangler 2 door manual shift that i drove to a music fest in Asheville, NC....that's the 1st thing i learned while going up hill/Mt.....drop shift. Had a lotta fun learning experiences on that solo road trip.
That won't work as he's already matted and the transmission is being told to go as low as the revs will allow. All selecting the lower "range" will do in an automatic is lock out the higher gears when they're needed.
I'm so fricken excited. I got my 4,000wt, all in 1, solar generator today, UPS. IT ran me $2100 but I think it'll play huge when we get off grid at the property. We're In a 25ft travel trailer and going to remodel a 35ft 5th wheel from frame up . Jonesy NW ARIZONA
Now that we have seen the Kei Truck Camper Build I am really hoping somewhere in the future we see the exact opposite like a luxury Van Build including a shower and AC. But I guess thats kinda expensive :D
You should get a sticker for the back that says yes my foot is too the floor! Haha
🎯❤️🤣❤️🤣 Yassss🤣🤣🤣
"I'm pretty cute, but very slow." lol
My neighbor has one on his Japanese mini truck that says “Slow?! Wait until I go uphill.”
I have one on my 08 scion xb that says SPEED……LOADING
😂
Thanks for posting. Thanks for no clickbait. Thanks for your kind positive attitude.
How please scared politicians
He is totally willing to sell out for money
He admits all the things he does for viewers and likes
Like the 15 miles an hour pissing off lots of people to drive a little hill for views

ベース車両が日本車ということで嬉しく思いました。
とてもきれいな車内での調理も素敵です。
Mini truck video to watch before bed !😮
The special effects @ 17:20 were phenomenal! I most definitely thought that was real smoke… love the mini camper
My 2 year old loves seeing your truck and is fascinated when you cook! Thanks for the content brother!
I look forward to watching your videos every week before bed. Keep being you, Ryan!

those old VW's sure are big inside. they're just well designed. very cool machines!
Great vid!
A suggestion, maybe get a sign in the back and say "Sorry for being slow" or something heh, I'm sure it'll put a smile on some folks faces.
this is actually a great and fun idea lmao
Sorry, the gerbils are pedaling as fast as they can. :D
Ryan, you put smiles on our faces just being adventurous.
3:07 whoa love that transition :D

Japan is a really mountanous country. I'm sure that truck can handle the stress. Awesome ride brother!

I've been watching this series since you started building it, I love it!

Dude! At 11:43 is the best! You climbing up into the truck, the theatrics, LMAO!. Watched it a dozen times, thanks for that!

That looks like a juniper bonsai. If you want to keep it alive, I recommend keeping it outside once you get home
Always a pleasure to watch your adventures mate. Swell video!

That hibachi looks delicious! I’m going to try this one. It’s great that everyone is so happy to see your truck. It’s awesome! Another fun video.
Loving this series, I got hooked on the build series. I just got a '94 Suzuki Carry and I'm planning to do some very cool projects with her.

I have to say, this minitruck is so very cool. I've been watching for a while and this is awesome.
I'm not a camper, but love your Kei. Got my eyes open, hope to see you in person (with your truck).
Love these videos Ryan. Thanks for taking us along with you.
Trying to cram those carrots into the packed frig had me whispering...just leave them out! Thanks for showing me how to cook fried rice! xo
Hahaha sames
Ditto
Do not use fresh cooked rice to make fried rice
@@b1b-O7 interesting! Use older leftover rice?

Just back from a trip through that area up to Paso Robles. Great drive. Strong work on that Kei truck.
Ryan, what an absolute dude! Definitely one of my favourite TH-camrs. Love your videos man!
Put a small jumpbox in there. You'll only need around 2000-2500 watts. They're super cheap.
Bonsai's can be a generational work as in 100+ years if you keep at it 🤣 Goodluck!
nice dude...i'v had a bonsai tree for over 20 years now...winters are tough
❤ I appreciate you sharing your journey Ryan and I so enjoy tagging along 😃❤❤
The little engine that could! - I think I can, I think I can!
So cool to see a kiwi feature in your videos! Big fan from New Zealand

Thank you for making my day. I don't get to travel at all, but here I can get the experience, not first hand though

Wow, what a trip!!! Nail bitter...Glad you made it safe.❤😊
Thanks for sharing. Love the little truck camper. Keep the videos coming.
I really love the camper and I enjoyed the Alaskan highway adventure. Would love to do that myself but i may be too old.
dude I got my Atigun pass hoodie today and it's so freakin comfy. Easily a daily hoodie for me. Thanks Ryan!
Ryan that meal looked amazing ! I have been wanting to try that brand of Japanese bbq sauce. Safe Travels Amigo👊
the bonsai is such a cute touch!
Tuning up the engine of this mini truck sounds like a good idea. I think that may be the only thing you missed when building it. Otherwise A1 man!!!
Woo hoo!! You made it!! 🎉 California coast is so beautiful! ❤
I always watch your videos even before going to sleep, the videos are just so relaxing that it also helps me sleep😊

That gym transition was awesome
Ryan you should think about slappin a lil turbo on the truck a little boost would help a lot on that tiny motor!
I don’t think you know how much we appreciate you! Keep em coming pal!

I normally don't put ketchup on my scrambled eggs but I tried it because you did and I must say it was a nice change, thanks! Take care and stay safe!

Love the mini-videos, but also looking forward to you getting back in the van.

That Hibachi looks delish. Stay safe always and safe journey. Looking forward to your next video 😘❤️❤️❤️
Ryan, you should probably try to shift down to L or 2 when climbing so you do get a bit more power!

Would have been sweating too driving that road. Been binge watching all the old videos.

The Kei Truck might be the one to ship to Hawaii
I was actually behind a Japanese van that was SMALLER than a kei truck yesterday. Looked like a teeny-tiny UPS truck but white.
Amazing trip. Please do another one.
