One of my all time favs!! So happy you enjoyed it. Hey, if you haven't already, please jump in to a Free One Week limited access to JazzWire. I would love to work together with you in a more meaningful (and not too expensive) way. With the Free One Week Trial, you’ll see what we're doing behind the wall! You'll be inside in about 20 seconds, no credit card required. app.jazzwire.net/free-trial. These videos are great, but they are a SHADOW compared to the real work and we can do together!

JC’s solo is hard to take in that it’s so much emotion and meaning. I’ve loved this for 50’s. JC as a master blues player - unlike a lot that followed on.
Write me at DiggingDeeperJazz@gmail.com, or join us for a Free Trial of JazzWire, Stewart (app.jazzwire.net/free-trial). We've done a TON of work on Trane's solo on this tune, and what makes it work. His V of IV material in some of the fourth measures of the form is a big deal. If you aren't hip to that idea, it might be time!! Hope to dig in to it with you.

"Crescent" is probably my favorite Coltrane album! Elvin Jones is the only one of the famous quartet that I actually saw live. On this number Elvin's snare adds such an incredible flavor to the rhythm!
I like your "dang, dang" for the snare accents. Great breakdown. Thanks! Saw Elvin many times, and McCoy. I'd like to find one of those isolated tracks recordings for this with bass and drums.
Thank you sooooo much. And this tune. So magical, so full of energy and joy.

I got to hear Elvin as well. What drive he always brought to the proceedings!!

It’s too deep. It’s so emotional to me. I wish I’d heard the group live. It’s genius.
