Another great one!! I remember back in my younger days thinking that all improv is magic - made up on the spot through some muse or other inspiration that I could never harness. I now know that all of the “magic” is just hard work and practice. Communicating via an instrument vs using your voice. It is no less amazing - in fact maybe more so that our heroes could “speak” so eloquently through their instruments that it feels spontaneous. Thanks for acting as interpreter and guide into how they put together this amazing music!

Thanks for the comment. Yes, I think a lot of people believe that improvisation or the special albums are done with magic, smoke, and mirrors. Not so!! Hard work, hard work, maybe a bit of smoke, and probably no mirror.

It means that in this melody, caltrain did not do Triton substitution or arpeggio or voice leading and an so on. Just the melody taken all around the 12 keys. Literally that. I am still waiting for the opportunity to sign onto Jazz wire but can't afford it at the moment. Thank you for doing amazing guide all the time.

Yes, it’s four guys in a room in New Jersey. But they are there to give thanks to their creator.
    And they did.
