How about don’t use the original recordings and Burtons likeness to promote. No one can think this is ok.
Burton is currently touring.
Burton and Randy wrote all of the hits and as the authors they hold the copyright and performance rights. You can’t call yourself the guess who and play Burton and Randys music without Burton and Randys permission. If my band wants to cover Burton and Randys songs that fine but I can’t call myself The Guess Who
Plenty of hits without Bachman. They were a good 60s band with Randy, but a great 70s band with Kurt Winter
The Burton Cummings Band is currently on tour. Cummings has issued licenses to several other performers already. The current fake Guess Who has two recent albums of material that they can play on tour. Cummings purchased The Guess Who RCA years catalog publishing rights in the late 1970s. Cummings can play his own copyrighted songs that he wrote or co-wrote.
The only member in the fake band is not even playing in the band anymore.Burton is rich.He doesn't care.I would do the same thing.Enough of these fake bands.
