I feel like Chloe just wasn't ready popularity wise to go solo yet. she's wildly talented but C&H was literally just starting to reach a somewhat mainstream stage. Had they followed up ungodly hours with another equally successful record and maybe a top 10 hit she'd probably have a much bigger fan base right now because the music, creative direction and visuals have consistently been too tier from he so that's clearly not the issue
THIS!!!! literally, they disbanded too soon, they still needed massive popularity. Then the solo projects come out. And Halle is doing well, with the 2 songs she has. (Her music is GOOD music with replay value)
@@Balianderson5Doing well by what metric? Vecause have mercy has roughly 33 times more daily spotify streams than angel. And her second song in your hands is like 5 or 6 times less daily streaming than chloes second single. alot of you dont know what yoh want and are being dishonest about the fact it is just fun tk meme and thinkpiece chloe to death
@@crispri3919 Charts and Number again. Do you just enjoy and listen to music because of the the charts. I meant that Halle's music has replay value, it's about the art for her, you can tell'.
agree 100% I think the difference between Chloe & Halle’s solo ventures is that Halle had the Disney machine backing her with her film. Plus many people went out in droves to support due to the hate & racial slurs she received. Whereas Chloe fully went down the music lane solo when a lot of people were just getting to know her as a part of the duo. She didn’t have a solid core fan base (& still doesn’t) so it’s a lot more difficult for her to garner that support she would need to be viewed as a success, specifically to the labels.
Caresha never anticipated Diddy’s downfall and thought she and he’d always be on top. Moral of the story: have morals and talent and you’ll always be alright. You can never ride on anyone’s coattails
She used him for her PR stunt that backfired as she knows a journalist would ask the real questions. Shout out to Santana for being a real friend which is something Caresha appears to appreciate or deserve
i kind of cringed when she said zero about the abuse with cassie/any other victims.....say at least you feel for cassie/kim /or even the woman who got shot in the damn face...even though you didnt experience that/youre taking a hard and serious look at Diddy and that he may not be that man you though he was.....somthing.......even if its fabricated.....saying nothing looks so bad. now Im wondering if this is why Uzi was so rude to Caresha.....he knew about the bs before everybody did.
Chloe is probably going to be like a Chappell Roan/Sabrina Carpenter/ Charlie XCX type. It may take her few more albums and years to get her sound cohesive with her image. She just needs time.
@@MysticDivinerLJ Well.. Chloe isn’t the issue of why she’s not receiving the success she deserves.. it’s her music .. especially the music now that she making _ it’s not appealing especially to the Pop supporting audiences who actually buys music .. when she debuted as a pop Artist her music was selling and she was receiving the Recognition for making Pop innovative music … but her mistake was that she changed up her direction to cater to the black audience which we all know they do not heavily support music.. and we as a lover of Pop I can tell you that Chloe only 2 songs that charted was her Pop song - HAVE MERCY / TREAT ME - The minute she switched up it was over for her - so she kinda ruined her momentum
@@MysticDivinerLJ I still have faith in Chloe that she will changed her direction and go back to Serve Pop because we were suppose to get a Debut Pop Album in the beginning .. she would’ve gotten much more exposure being in POP, she could’ve been that LADY GAG AND MADONNA we were all waiting for for .. because us Chlovers know how talented she is, she’s theatrical and also a great performer .. like why would she settle for R&B when to DOESNT sell ??🤷🏽♀️ that genre is for girls who can’t perform and give a stage ovation ..
I think it’s because, she doesn’t stand out enough! I honestly could care less about her music! She’s a good actress! But, I think it’s because, she’s under Beyonce too! None of her artists seem to do well and that’s not a good sign at all!!
@@beaberryliousbeyonce don't have nothing to do with it so nothing is sus about it. Beyonce has her own fan base and people are looking for her fan base to support Chloe. Chloe's new album has been on repeat but i feel like they just threw it out with no promo because they also have Halle's album to release plus another Chloe x Halle album
Loved Chloe’s album! And based on your comment, it almost sounds like Chloe’s album and Halle’s album are long term promos for the Chloe x Halle album/return.
THANK YOU. I’m so tired of being gaslit by the industry. She knew what he was doing, just like all the other celebs that act like they don’t know that the people in their lives are rampant abusers
Because the people that supports music are pop listeners.. like myself Her worst mistake was to switch up her direction to release in pieces which was a complete snooze fest - Have Mercy was legendary And we don’t really care for Trouble in Paradise
@@JinxSAWshe also lost the alternative rnb/ indie listeners when she started being hyper sexual. They are very loyal and buy albums. She is doing hyper sexual r&b/female rap. Those fans don’t buy music unless you’re Nicki Minaj.
Bc it sucks to GP...Marley verse was bad, her album had scattered direction, the song with Halley didn't sonically fit, she had random features that didn't fit her at all. Boy bye, nice girls finish last were the only good songs. HateMe...idc
@@danellymani205THANK YOU ! I said this same exact thing about Latto’s album release. Women aren’t interested in how much you shake your ssa and how much money you get from men. Men are barely interested in those things as is and even so they are just following them on IG to look at ssa and not buying music. Their only fans are people who want to look at their bodies, pun intended. Hypersexual women’s empowerment is ruining the industry, you can control your sexiness without flopping your meat sacks around 24/7.
Someone mentioned that CxH disbanded too soon. And I agree. I think they should've experimented and grown together( maybe 2 more albums) then went solo. We never got a chance to witness Chloe bloom into whatever sexual goddess she wanted to become, and quite frankly she never gave herself the chance to organically blossom. She just dove into the deep end and thought people wouldn't notice/ would get over it but the problem is the CxH fan base was mostly made of people looking for a break from the oversexualization that's saturated the industry. They wanted relatability and her sexy image clashes with the " awkward, geeky, good girl" image people were looking for. I hate to vompare but Beyonce didnt jump from DC to self- titled. It was gradual. She gave us glimpses of who she was prior. Where did Chloes sexual liberty come from? Who was she before? It also doesnt help that her IG is way too curated. It's far too many bikini pics. She never shows random pics, geeky( self-proclaimed) moments, funny pics. Things to show her personality. Is the clueless, sexy image really her or a persona? Also, I think she needs to fall in love😂. No more heartbreak songs. She needs a "plastic off the sofa" meets "whats my name" moment. Flirty, sensual and in love. Less raunchy, vulgar and heartbroken.
this comment is too long for me to read it all but i wanted to acknowledge your first sentence. Halle had to focus on the Little Mermaid and was contractually obligated so Chloe x Halle HAD to disband early. So Chloe decided to work on and release music over that year+
You said it perfectly! CxH brought something different to the table. Aside from that they could out sing anyone easily, their music was different. Chloe didn’t blossom. It’s like as soon as she went solo, a flip switched and said time to be super sexy! Where’d it come from and why did it basically happen overnight?? We could listen to the rap girls if we wanted raunchy. Chloe has natural talent, she can seriously sing. So sing about something!! She’d kill some R&B love songs.
I think the word you are looking for is hiatus because they are still making music together and even mentioned putting out an album in 2025. They're just trying experiment and trying to garner new experience as young adults and artist
Ok first off. I cannot comment on your comment without reading the full thing otherwise I wouldn’t be responding to you. Let’s read! reading is fundamental. Everything you said is wonderful and 100% correct. I assume Chloe was going solo for the duration of Halle doing disney tings. Now, I feel that’s not the case they rushed tings to fast and didn’t do things in an order I would like but that’s not my place to see.
The smart thing would have been to completely separate herself from him. It's clear that she is his mouth piece right now. She is wearing the tiger tooth necklace that Kim Porter and Cassie have both been seen in DURING HER INTERVIEW.
I live in a small city in New York State, and the bartista was playing "Trouble In Paradise" at a local coffee shop I was at the other day. It might not be to the magnitude that she deserves yet, but people are still STAN-ing far and wide.
Chloë has improved so much from her last album! My favorites were "Boy Bye" , "Redemption" ,"FYS", "NGFL" . ❤ The main issue I find with Chloë is her writing Bc her production and her voice sounds amazing 👏🏾, but the lyrcis are so overly explicit that it takes you out of the art. It sometimes can be unrealistic and unrelatable at times. It's almost like Chloë the singer is a character and I think people find her unserious. It's really a shame bc she's one of the best singers in the industry right now.
Yes. Her music is too explicit directly. Beyonce makes some very explicit songs but the lyrics are so well crafted you wouldn't know until you really take it in. Ego, blow, rocket, drunk in love, riverdance. U know. 😊
Can you help me understand why overly explicit lyrics aren't relatable? Is everyone shy when it comes to talking about sex even in a graphic way. Honest question.
@laurenj6802 umm i think ppl do, but they dont like how its packaged coming from chloë. For example "Rose" & "Lingerie" = pure comedy ... she's singing sexy redd lyrics with a soulful r&b voice, like it doesn't work. It was giving snl after dark. R&B should always leave room for imagination. I think people are overly critical bc the iconic-ness of cholë is right there, but no one on her team picking it up and it's so frustrating 😭
I love Chloe, but the lyrics are too much as you said. I’m rooting for her, but I don’t can’t relate to the music. As a female R&B singer, her fan base is probably majority women, and all women aren’t super raunchy or explicit or sexual or whatever you want to call it. Subtlety might be a route she needs to take. Speechless is one of Beyoncé’s best songs. It’s so sensual but not overtly or explicitly. That’s what Chloe should be doing, especially with her voice! Or even Wonder What She Thinks of Me from UnGodly Hour! That song was about being the other woman, but it wasn’t explicit. I really just want another CxH album 🤷🏽♀️
When Chole overly sexualized herself in the beginning, that’s when the disconnect from her true fan base started downhill. It became cringy and was so beneath her because she’s so talented and didn’t need to do any of that.
Exactly. They both have done irreparable damage to their image. Halle with DDG and Chloe with the sexualization. It's like they sold us one image we grew accustomed to, but in reality they are nothing of the sort. Now anytime I hear anything about either of them, it seems so unserious and clownish.
@@berickslime6718 to be fair, they were really young when they debuted and when you get older, you change, and people are usually pretty messy in their 20s
Chloe’s album was really good. I think she needs to do some acoustic versions post them on all socials. Really try to get the buzz surrounding her music back
Yea she's currently filming a movie at the moment but i think it would be wise to perform the songs live and post them to her social media like she used to with covers
Chloe needs to release 'Favorite' featuring Anderson .Paak as a single. That man is the cheat code, if you want a hit, go to him. It's a bop. I see TikTok dances right now.
Chloe's album is really that one of the ones this year when it comes to r&b albums the vocals, the production and to see chloe grow from her last album so I don't understand what's the discord ??
I can’t really get into Chloe’s music, but I streamed this album because I see how much she cares about her music/artistry she does need some help getting that music to stick though. There’s some bops on the album too!
There were definitely some bops and overall, this album is MUCH better than the 1st. She just really needs to work with some good writers because her lyrics are still a tad cheesy and kinda childish. She needs some sophistication to her lyrics.
@@WaterBoiX547 No, they do not. It’s just another convenient excuse to not stream their music. When they had the group, they also did not support as much. What was their excuse? They wanted Beyoncé to support a darker skin girl group. American born Black girls with natural locks wasn’t enough.
@@snijanafleur8442Nah I actually disagree. They grew a lot during ungodly hour. Like they were building up to it and they gained a ton of new fans during then (including me) They were growing as a duo and garnering more attention
I'm gonna be honest I love Chloe but In pieces wasn't ready. She didn't know who she was as an artist and I feel like she still doesn't. Not to mention Chloe isn't the only artist going down hill I feel like sexual music in general is taking a hit. No one wants or cares for that anymore. It's cute for the summer but after the summer is over what's next. I feel like to revive her career at this point she needs a major hit. Have her team call Muni Long and have her write Chloe a song. When Chloe did made for me it went viral. Chloe just needs to do one song where she just sings no ass shaking, no cringey words coming from her, no sex just straight up top quality music that we can listen to all year. Or even if she wants to go raunchy she needs to go Jhene aiko raunchy where it's sexual but sounds like fairies singing.
@@dangeroust1220 Even the ones that aren't sexual were not lyrically ready. Which again is why I said she needs to hire someone to help out with that portion. In pieces specifically could have been a great song but wasn't lyrically ready, Treat me was too busy. In pieces as an album was not a comprehensive piece of work. It was cringey a lot of the time and I get it was first heartbreak but there's a way to do it. A great example is Olivia Rodrigos first album it felt completed like she took her time with every detail. Chloe did admit she pivoted last minute which could contribute to why the songs just weren't quite all the way there. Chloe as a singer is rough very Beyonce ish but Chloe as a person is very sweet and calm and they are contradictory to each other. She needs to find a balance.
@@crystaljones7279 She has multiple co writers she works with, they’re all listed in the credits on both her albums. Chloe gave y'all teasers, visuals, singles, press and much more for "In Pieces" and y'all paid it dust... Why would they invest the same way for y'all to poop on her again??? The music is good, you just have to show up for the artist and stop being so hateful all the time.
@@MNIJJ disliking or not vibing with someone’s music is being hateful? Do you hear yourself? Imo her discography is confusing. It’s hard to catch a feel for her art when she’s switching up inconsistently. I hope she does find her true sound and audience though, because she does have talent.
She literally announced a new lead single, album and drop 3 videos less than 30 days from release with her first album. The public didn't have time to gravitate towards the new lead single because she dropping videos back to back like a rapper. It was all over the place.
That’s what Zac said too however her label also needs to play its part. Where are the interviews?? Promo by the label??? Music videos or dance snippets?? Posters like other girlies???? Pop up shop????
@@envy2069 I meant what I said. I did not say disliking or not vibing makes you a hater. You can act oblivious to the continuous hateful comments thrown this young woman's way all you want. I think she has found her sound. She's blossoming as an artist and not sticking to one lane because its more digestible to certain people.
Chloe x Halle should've done another album before going solo so they built more of a fan base. Another issue that I frequently saw was that she was "doing too much" when she went solo. It just wasn't the oversexualization, but the over- singing, dancing, producing, etc. "Treat me" was so chaotic, she lost me after that. When her covers are so over the top that even the original artists are saying they wish she didn't do their song or she's sexualizing songs that don't have that aren't sexy, it just became cringe. She's a great singer but she doesn't always have to do vocal acrobatics on every performance. Sometimes less is more because it allows people to appreciate when you do more. For ex: when she did the buss it challenge o released "Have Mercy", her initial grown and sexy vibe was well-received, but then she made it her whole personality and people don't see much else.
I can't watch right now cause I'm at work, but thanks Zach for feeding us weekly. 😭 We need a Woo Chile episode on the impact of the new pop girlies - Sabrina, Chapel, etc.
I also think the comparisons has held her back. People placed their high expectations on her instead of allowing her to grow as an artist with mistakes here and there. Its unfair to compare beyonce with a new artist still finding their lane
@@Wazzup25Yeah people put high expectations definitely but I also remember an interview where Chloe was like “I wanna be at Janet Jackson level of legend” anytime an artist says that early on it back fires cause it creates an extreme expectation on them to be on that level immediately instead of evolving. Like Tyla saying she wanted to be like Michael Jackson, Taylor Swift, and Rihanna heights of fame and saying that people who don’t like seeing her are gonna have to get used to it cause she’ll be “everywhere” yes those were Tylas words… Beyonce didn’t start calling herself a legend in the making until she already had like 4 albums out with Destinys child which was the best selling r&b girl group, and 2 solo albums out, she was in dream girls, & the Beyonce experience tour was huge. She already had done a lot before making those legend statements and already had time to season herself as an artist and performer. These new girls start making these comparisons way to early on, I think Tinashe did the same, and so did Normani. Other girls like Sabrina Carpenter,Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, aren’t saying they’re gonna be legends or the next Taylor Swift or Madonna or whatever else. They simply make the music, talk about the music, & state their influences here & there. Olivia almost had that backfire on her cause she was mentioning Taylor in every freaking interview & constantly posted about Taylor but it was affecting her negatively so her team had her stop mentioning Taylor, Had her unfollow everyone on instagram, & made her image edgier & made her more avril lavigne and alanis morissette to make her detach from that Taylor image. It’s also why Rihanna stopped mentioning Beyonce & instead did a rebrand and started mentioning Madonna but comparing yourself to a big artist who’s still dominating is bad and saying you wanna be a legend early on is bad cause if you don’t meet that and blow everyone away, they’ll make fun of you. It’s ok to aspire to be like that but don’t mention it cause it adds wayyy too much pressure.
Honestly, Chloe has such a passion for the arts she loves what she does whether it’s an acting or singing. I hope she doesn’t lose that spark for the arts because that will sustain her in the long run. Whether it’s financially successful or not. She’s in it because that what she loves to do. I wish she gets back to self producing though and letting the music marinate. She can just be an actress in the mean time.
Yes, Chloe was definitely overly sexualized. It didn’t go with the image and the persona that we had grown to know her to be. I don’t know why she couldn’t just make quality R&B or pop or new age music without the tacky sexy imagery.
The sexualization in of itself is not the issue. Chloe's fans, her real fans, know her talents extend beyond her sexuality. The other girls can do that because quite frankly, they have to. Chloe is so much more than that. We want art. This album was great music and a great body of work, but it wasn't art. It Chloe at full potential. This was Chloe's version of doing a lil yang yang yang around the studio. Chloe is not the other girls. They not like her. The standard for her is higher, and I personally need more from her than just the freak 🤷🏾♀️
Exactly. When I listened to Chloe x Halle during Ungodly Hour I put them in my playlist where I have Solange, Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, etc. That playlist is titled “Black Women✨” Chloe’s solo music however doesn’t give that and she needs to understand that is where she shines. The other day I asked my cousin if she listened to Chloe’s new album and she was like “ I didn’t know Chloe had a new album out & I don’t think i’m gonna listen to it cause it feels like she’s the Rubi Rose of r&b now” hearing that made me so sad cause it’s kinda true. Obviously Chloe is miles ahead in talent compared to Rubi Rose but it’s like how Rubi is known for her body before her rapping some people know Chloe for her body before her music.
@rayeeiffel480 The Rubi Rose of RnB is diabolical !!!! Yikes! It's accurate tho. She literally is so talented that she could have done a Lauyrn Hill and did one album that withstood the test of time. She is THAT good, but she wants to put seggs before the art. It's okay to express sexuality, but when there is no variety it becomes redundant. It's why people are over the City Girls and Cardi B. Like we get it, you like seggs, are seggsy, and the seggs is good, but can we talk about something else? It's like being in a relationship with someone and all they want to do is have seggs. It's gets real old and stale real quick. Like I said the music was great and it was a consistent body of work, but it wasn't art. In Pieces was disjointed AF, but it was ART. Especially that intro. She needs to figure out how to merge both the art and the sexuality together and THAT will be a bangin album
@@nikkie_a Yeah sexuality should be allowed to be explored and Chloe has every right to make music on it but she could’ve done it in a more tasteful way. Like the song about her Rose Toy just in my opinion continues to cheapen her brand. Chloe is mad stubborn though so I don’t know if she’ll ever change the vulgarity of it I do think she’ll possibly evolve musically and sonically but image wise I feel like she’s dead set on making this her brand. Whatever makes her happy ig. I’ll continue listening to The Kids Are Alright & Ungodly Hour. Her 2nd album was better but it’s still not my personal cup of tea cause of the lyrics. My favorite song on the album was the one she did with Halle which again makes me believe that they truly are at their best together but apart I can always feel the other one missing.
@rayeeiffel480 The thing is, it doesn't matter how much she grows and evolves vocally and sonically if the skill doesn't match the art. If Monet and Picasso only drew stick figures, nobody would give a crap about how skilled and talented they were because it wouldn't have been displayed properly. I don't mind the rose song, I just feel like it wasn't the moment for it. Also, I think part of the reason she does this is because of the Beyonce comparisons. Chloe definitely wants to make it clear that she is not Beyonce and Beyonce is not Chloe. There are certain things that Chloe can and will do that Beyonce would never. So, I think a part of it is her establishing her individual, independent identity. I get it, but this just isn't the way. We are getting Chloe the singer and vocalist and not Chloe the artist. Where is the artist development?!?! Parkwood is pissing me off.
@@nikkie_a Yeah I understand that I agree. Parkwood doesn’t really do artist development cause Beyonce gives the girls full creative control. I guess it’s cause when Bey was starting out she was forced to do music and promote in ways her dad wanted her to but it did benefit her. Like I remember reading somewhere that around the B’day era or like right before that album Beyonce wanted to do a neo-soul album but her dad said no cause it wouldn’t fit with the image they were creating and it made sense cause it was too early for her to be switching it up like that so that’s probably why she lets the girls do what they want. I wish they did take some control however until she was more established.
Chloe didn’t listen to us about that first album. She had us thinking we were getting one thing and then she changed it up at the last minute because her and that rap dude broke up. So she gave us a diary form album that she should’ve kept to herself and she should’ve released the original album. A lot of us were very disappointed. It felt like she didn’t know if she wanted to put out teeny bopper music or grown and sexy music.
The problem with Chloe is the same as what happened to Miley. People didn’t want her to grow up, and when she did, she went polar opposite of what we were used to. And it took a few years for people to appreciate Miley. It’ll take a few years for people to dissociate Chloe with her child like persona from CxH
They don’t know if they’ll get a return on their investment. I know this may be hard for Chloe fans to hear but record labels don’t care about the artist or giving the artist what they deserve if they’re talented. They care about money & at the end of the day it’s business for them. They lost a lot of money during her first album probably cause she was everywhere for that but it didn’t do what they hoped so now they don’t wanna waste any more money. If there is a less talented artist that making money, they’ll push the less talented one more than the one with talent cause it’s about money. I know it sucks but it’s Showbusiness. The business is more important than the show.
@rayeeiffel480 yes I understand it for the initial drop but now that the project has dropped and everyone loves it they can start to promote it. Label only pushing top artist doesn't support the artist growth. Columbia even did it on her first project.
That's what will put the nail in the coffin of both of their careers. They have already been floundering solo, all their audience needs is a reason to completely shelf them.
@berickslime6718 Halle is doing pretty good solo but she only has two songs out. Angel was a masterpiece that was nominated for a grammy. In your hands was good too but I wanna see Halle put her foot on the pedal
Honestly Chloe just needs a fan base . But to be honest Chloe and Halle never had a real fan base that buy there shit. And her market is confusing to me . I feel everything she put out always seemed rushed .
Chloe’s new album is amazing, and I hope things turn out for her. I feel what messed her up is the actual timing of how things were released. Like have mercy shouldn’t have taken that long and then treat me and then the actual album..timing is everything. She missed her opening and I blame her management team. But at the same time, atleast she’s not in normani’s place, where nothing is happening.
I was just listening to Chloe's album for a second time this afternoon and it's really an excellent album. I feel she just wanted to put this out because she is proud of it but we're getting a Chloe x Halle album very soon. I'm sure of it. This feels like an independent project rollout but I'm ok with that. She is building an organic fanbase
It’s definitely giving sabotage. Where tf is her label??? It’s a GREAT album and none of my music friends knew it was even out. 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️ This was the one to push!!!! 🤷🏾♂️
Chloe’s new album is actually really good. I don’t normally like many albums and listen all the way through, but I listened to Chloe’s album and it was very good
I really don’t understand why Chloe isn’t bigger yet. We have seen so many vulgar or mediocre people have a fanbase and rise to the top. I agree we have seen so many artists oversexualiize themselves. One thing I will say is: I’m mad that “Have Mercy”, “Treat Me”, and “For the Night” weren’t on an album. She should have capitalized on that success. An album should have dropped no more than 2 months after with those songs on it
1.) Saucy Santana can't speak well enough to interview anyone, let alone his bestie. Caresha didn't say literally anything the entire time....however...I can understand why. It's probably still too dangerous to talk about Diddy openly. So, while she didn't say shit, it sort of makes sense. In this case I wouldn't have done such a safe interview, I probably would have just said my piece by myself and let it be. Hell, just SAY you aren't at liberty to speak on anything because there are too many factors at play that are out of your control, but we know you were aware of at least some of what was going on. 2.) Chloe's album.....there are some nice songs.....but she needs help. New writers....something. Some of those lyrics are still extremely aggressively "Look at me I'm sexy" and honestly corny. I get it, explore your sexuality, but it's okay not to scream it from the rooftops all the time. I do like "Somebody", "Temporary Lover", the song with YG Marley, and a couple others. The voice and talent is there but she's still just.....trying too hard to tell us she's grown, at least in my opinion. It's not about her needing to poppier, the lyrics are genuinely cringe. "Same Lingerie" is wild. Even her visualizers just all have her posturing around....being sexy. Like is there anything ELSE? She just needs more fine-tuning and maybe a more fleshed out personality to me.
#1 Facts on #2 Facts. Well said. I do believe chole needs to invest in production( composers, writers and mixers). Sometimes the album was too loud and then perfect on other songs. She has time to grow.
Top 5 changes everyday. “In Pieces” was a solid debut and I still enjoy most of those songs. But THIS album has my absolute heart 🥳 Current Top 5: Might As Well, Temporarily Single, All I Got (Free Falling), FYS & Want Me 🤓
Something is happening with the music industry right now! Chloe, Normani, … it’s like labels don’t want to invest. Even Beyoncé didn’t really have a « real « promotion of her last album.
Re: Chloe- I took a breezer through Trouble in Paradise and I can 1000% agree it's her best work; it's onky up from here in regards to production, singing, visuals, etc. HOWEBER - It confirmed like I walked away with her in pieces and debut era - I am NOT her targeted customer. For one, I'm SUPER fatigued from hypersexualization. Everyone is hypersexual. So, whenever someone wants me to get into it, it's got to be very nuanced and it's hit or miss. Chloe's hypersexuality just doesnt vibe with me - it's giving ghetto rnb love/toxic sex stories (same lingerie). It's just giving me Jill Scott when she gave that mic a BJ. 😭 BUT with that being said - I want artists to make the art they wanna make. They work hard to train themselves and tell stories, so I want them to make what they wanna make more than make something for me if that makes sense. So I wish her all the success and she reaches everyone who's her targeting customer instead of me. I'm looking forward to another CxH album though! I did end up saving their duet from TIP!❤
I personally think they did the same thing to normani album, I’m not a huge fan of either but I like to get new songs on my playlist and i genuinely love both albums wish other people enjoyed it I just feel like people are quick to just jump on the hate train and not form their own opinions!
chloe's album is good and she was never overly sexual they can't get to beyonce so they use her to attack bey. What chloe came out doing wasn't even half of what her peers were doing. She is 26 people are holding onto that so they can have a "legit" reason to dislike her. Trouble in paradise has 3 maybe 4 outwardly sexual songs. Her decline came when columbia kept holding her releases for months giving people too much time to feed into the negativity that was surrounding her with no music out to distract. she had been teasing this album and planned for it to come out since july the label plays with her releases constantly.
As it relates to Chloe: I think her solo releases have been doomed from the start. The whole "bait-and-switch" fiasco with her first singles not aligning with (or even being part of) "In Pieces" really turned a lot of folx off, including myself. She's immensely talented and I love what she has been able to accomplish, however, what we are seeing is folx not willing to give her multiple chances because they simply dont know what to expect from her / who she is as an artist.
Even though it may not be receiving much love, I’m really happy she actually released her second album. The first one also got a rather lackluster response in terms of chart performance, but when she went on tour, it seems like it was always a full house. She just needs to keep working, and stay promoting herself and her craft
Thank you. I’m glad Chlöe is writing, executive producing, releasing, and investing in her talent & strengths while she’s with Parkwood Entertainment. That’s how you positively grow and earn. Folks talking about she needs other writers to write and produce full songs without her input. Simply put, people are envious of the creative freedom and protection that Chlöe has while she’s evolving.
I streamed in Pieces for a little bit out of support for Chloe, but kinda stopped cause It didnt resonate with me. however Trouble in Paradise is SO GOOD im genuinely enjoying the album, Im bumping it every day
Chloe image isn’t working, when she originally did media tours they rarely talked about personal things she was very cutesy very avoidant then got on IG like “I’m a freak” and everyone was like??? She needs a PR makeover ASAP starting with changing the conversation. Maybe also making music that’s raw about internal emotions l similar to CTRL subject matter/metaphorical writing
Honestly Chloe’s solo releases have been mishandled since Have Mercy. Treat Me came like 6 months later and she lost all the attention she had. Have Mercy, Treat Me, Surprise and For The Night should have all been on her first album. With every release there has been less and less interest. Her songwriting ability also isn’t a great fit with the subject matter she chooses to sing about, it’s very literal and juvenile and isn’t especially artful. Rocket, Drunk In Love, Partition and Blow are good examples of being sexual and explicit in an artful way. “Rock right up to the side of my mountain, climb until you reach my peak”. “Then I fill the tub halfway then riding with my surfboard”. “He Monica Lewinsky’d all on my gown”. “Pink is the flavor, solve the riddle”. She doesn’t leave much to the imagination. For example, with Rose, she could have utilized flower, planting and other nature metaphors to get the same effect.
Chloe's album is def not just thrown together, I agree. But i do feel it is a feeler album. As in, " let me collect data to learn what the public is interested in hearing from me and that data will be based on which ever song has the most streams from the album." yuh know?
I've been meaning to give Chloe's album a listen, but hearing that she produced 90% of it or even just the majority of it. That's all I needed to hear. She is one of my favorite producers. PERIOD
Maybe I need to give Chloes album another listen. I dunno it wasn't hitting when I first listened to it but everyone here is saying it's good. So I am going to have to relisten
You have to listen to it in order because it doesn’t work without it because on first listen i was like on the fence. Second time around it made more sense
Chloe’s very open about her journey and for people to still not get it it’s giving a yall problem not a her problem lol 😂 .. she told yall that in pieces was supposed to be one thing but then something happened and she needed to release from that and so she ended up with the in pieces that we got… but yall claim she don’t know who she is when she’s been telling us who she is yall just don’t wanna listen lol 😂
It's her brand image. Shes sexualised herself and her audience pushing her in the first place didnt ride for this. Imagine if ariana and Beyonce switched up their brand you will stop riding. Imagine beyonce was brunette and sang sitting down all the time and changed genre .. i mean even that beyonce changed genre and now her streams are low. But the more inconsistent she become the less engagement. People are stuck in their ways. Chloe needs a team as good as Megan's too, she needs to ahow her character more and profit off of it. Chloe singing career is like a shadow to an image that people refuse to move forward with. She posted photos of her ass and was shaking it and jt was highly engaged but her A1 performance for the BET awards which was ge best that night is barely talked about i remember being in awe just watchig her. I remember being a suporter of her because i loved her insta lives wih her sis because they were funny relatable ans wholesome. I watched her interviews and i liked her as a person a lot. If she leaned to an image that was sensual but classy/regal it would suite her sooo well and i think it would hype her up again. This ofcourse a perspective that not everyone has to agree with
"Nice Girls Finish Last" was a banger and deserved its place on the album, but otherwise I agree with you. As far as that album goes, it's immaculate. It hits in every way "In Pieces" was supposed to and I say that as a casual fan. I've had a handful of songs on that album on repeat since playing the whole project yesterday. I really wish it was THIS album that had all of the label support, but it is what it is, I guess. Chloe is still insanely talented.
Chloe basically said herself she put so much into promoting and had such a big rollout for in pieces and it flopped that she didn't want to do that this time she just wanted to put out the music and Whoever likes it likes it, it seems like a big part of her is really defeated because none of her music is charting she even tried to get crossover appeal with" Boy bye" and it just didn't pick up steam
Chloe’s situation is a great example of how the bad decisions of then can eff with the greatness of now. During the launch of her solo career, Chloe made decisions that were severely damaging. However, because she is truly talented and hard-working, TIP can serve as a reset. If she has the energy and resources to keep going, I think things will lighten up for her. If anyone from her team is reading this.. Tell Chloe to keep going and learning. From the Usher tribute to this album, people are finally excited to see what else she has to offer.
@@Planetunknown-n9i The songs are about love, break up and struggling to let go. If you are taking the lyrics at face value then that's your problem you might need to be a tiny bit of thinker
I think she should have released "body do" as a single from in pieces. That's really the only song I can sing off the top of my head, lol. I've definitely been replaying trouble in paradise, though! It's maybe 1 or 2 songs I don't care for, and that's not bad at all! I want her to win!
As a casual Chloe fan, I listened to the album right when it dropped. It was a really well-made, slick, high-production piece of work! This is my very personal preference, but I wanted more hook-ier songs? And I guess I wanted more overt island vibes? But then again, I guess I felt more of the “trouble” than the “in paradise” part in terms of vibes and content 😂
I still stream in pieces regularly, I love Chloe as an artist but even I must admit I had no craving for another album from her this soon.. i have absolutely no desire to go listen to it.. all that ive heard of it, is others reacting to the album.. and they seem to love it but im still not running to go give it a full listen.. idk what it is tbh and its like that now for me for a lot of my faves.. i remember i used to wait up until release hours and now its like ehh ill get to it when i get to it.
The problem with Chlöe is that she has no idea who her target audience is. She so desperately wants to be an R&B sex-siren, and NO ONE looks at her like that. She and her sister need to stick to the group stuff, no one sees either of them as solo acts.
She said this was the real and raw truth, and not to dismiss her testimony but….she was definitely saving a LOT of face. She used this time frame to speak out and get her back out there with her show perfectly though!
Trouble in Paradise is genuinely such a beautiful body of work. It’s so much more cohesive than In Pieces and I neeeed people to listen!! I love Chloe Down mannnn
If you think about it music is not selling like that anymore because everyone think everything thing is a flop word of mouth is really a thing. no one really don’t have a good musical ear anymore. Everyone is accustomed to generic music nowadays. Social media ruins music rollouts especially when people spread negativity around the artist albums and singles
You hit it on the head for Chole. I just think everyone wasn’t ready for her and Halle to break up in all honesty. People want to hear from the both of them wayyyyy more than individually.
There will be aaaaaaall this talk about negativity around Chloe and then she will go on tour and people will cheer and have an amazing time and know the lyrics to each and every song! Just as it happened with in pieces. Just because celebrity is not happening in this tabloid and centralized way as it did in the 2000's doesn't mean that people are not enjoying music in their corners. Pr happens online now with Chloe fx making a post and asking which song we like the best and tons of people are interacting with this post. I agree the labels could do much more and SHOULD do so much more for their aritsts for sure. But I always feel that there is so much online negative talk but in reality people are having a blast with the music. Chloe is making killer music and will do a killer tour with so so many tickets sold! It is not the 2000's anymore with a few dominating divas. The landscape is more broad and we just have so many now which is actually incredible!

@@MissDZhae-px2ju that’s is true but the reality is they all do it smh Gina made weird comments to others as well just like they said Cassie usher to watch him do it to Kim porter so it’s clearly a mind control tactic from a narcissist which isn’t me making any excuses cause it was disgusting to make any comment like that
Honestly, it is just the way she forced the sexualization of herself. I think also many people are just tired of sexualization. People want something different. We already have artists that's about sex. We don't need more. The times are shifting less towards sex.
I agree with that
Caresha never anticipated Diddy’s downfall and thought she and he’d always be on top. Moral of the story: have morals and talent and you’ll always be alright. You can never ride on anyone’s coattails
The moment I saw Santana asking the questions, I knew the interview was going to be unserious.
She needed someone she trusted to ask the questions she wants/needed them to ask😂, that girl ain't fooling nobody!!
Of course season 2 we knew was coming and of course Santana would be there somehow. She just did 30 minute interview just to get her show back
She used him for her PR stunt that backfired as she knows a journalist would ask the real questions. Shout out to Santana for being a real friend which is something Caresha appears to appreciate or deserve

Chloe really did it with this album and I’m not sure why it’s not publicized but for her core fans that are still here it was a great treat.
Chloe is probably going to be like a Chappell Roan/Sabrina Carpenter/ Charlie XCX type. It may take her few more albums and years to get her sound cohesive with her image. She just needs time.
You may be right.
She needs to switch her style .. the album is too vulgar and that is a big no no
@@JinxSAW could you elaborate ?
@@MysticDivinerLJ Well.. Chloe isn’t the issue of why she’s not receiving the success she deserves.. it’s her music .. especially the music now that she making _ it’s not appealing especially to the Pop supporting audiences who actually buys music ..
when she debuted as a pop Artist her music was selling and she was receiving the Recognition for making Pop innovative music … but her mistake was that she changed up her direction to cater to the black audience which we all know they do not heavily support music.. and we as a lover of Pop I can tell you that Chloe only 2 songs that charted was her Pop song - HAVE MERCY / TREAT ME -

Zach we HERE FOR THE CALLS!! I’m sat.
Halle is fine as a solo artist but chloe seems lost and confused.

Thank for speaking on Caresha. I felt like she was gaslighting us with that interview. She knew what was going on
Chloe’s trouble in paradise is better than the first album. I don’t get why her career isn’t growing . The support is lacking from somewhere. 🤷🏾♀️
I think maybe the general public just doesn’t resonate with her.
I love “Trouble in Paradise” I’ve been bumping this album since it dropped!! I honestly think this album is her best work
Definitely! It's so goood 🥺❤
Chloë has improved so much from her last album! My favorites were "Boy Bye" , "Redemption" ,"FYS", "NGFL" . ❤
The main issue I find with Chloë is her writing Bc her production and her voice sounds amazing 👏🏾, but the lyrcis are so overly explicit that it takes you out of the art.
@@Davidisland86 exactly what I was trying to say ! 👏🏾

Saying Jhené sounds like fairies singing is probably the best way I’ve ever heard her described!
Chloe has songs that aren’t sexual. Everyone says that’s what they want from her but still don’t listen! 😂

The bad part I love Chloe and I didn’t even know she had an album out! Let me go support my girl ❤️
She legit just dropped it out of nowhere, no promo
I can't watch right now cause I'm at work, but thanks Zach for feeding us weekly. 😭 We need a Woo Chile episode on the impact of the new pop girlies - Sabrina, Chapel, etc.
I think being tied to Beyonce is bittersweet because anytime Parkwood posts on Instagram about Chloe or Halle the comments are about Beyonce evisuals
And then when they post things other than Chloe or Halle, they in the comments cry about them not promoting them.
@@mlh1367 that part
The Label is holding chole back they need to push the button. It crazy to have such a good album with no push from the Label 😢
U a real one giving her the grace we all deserve
Forever my fav pop culture commentator. Never let the girls off too easy, period.
I can’t wait for her tour!
I need a Halle album before another Chloe x Halle album
Yup
Exactly its only fair, plus when they tour we can get little sections of them performing their solo music also
Yesss that's what I'm waiting on
That's what will put the nail in the coffin of both of their careers.
I like Chloe but I fear she just made better music with her sister. A new Chloe X Halle album is needed
I LOVED CHLOE ALBUM SO MUCH AND she said Shes doing promo Once shes done shooting her scenes ❤
I knew it was wishful thinking to see the Trouble in Paradise reaction here 🤦🏾♀️ 😢
Chloe’s new album is actually really good.
An album should have dropped no more than 2 months after with those songs on it
WOO CHILE series is eating!!!
But THIS album has my absolute heart 🥳
Current Top 5: Might As Well, Temporarily Single, All I Got (Free Falling), FYS & Want Me 🤓
Something is happening with the music industry right now! Chloe, Normani, … it’s like labels don’t want to invest. Even Beyoncé didn’t really have a « real « promotion of her last album.
Re: Chloe-
I took a breezer through Trouble in Paradise and I can 1000% agree it's her best work; it's onky up from here in regards to production, singing, visuals, etc. 😭
BUT with that being said - I want artists to make the art they wanna make.
Chloe we love you amd the album is absolutely amazing
I personally think they did the same thing to normani album, I’m not a huge fan of either but I like to get new songs on my playlist and i genuinely love both albums wish other people enjoyed it I just feel like people are quick to just jump on the hate train and not form their own opinions!
I love how your fair and clear in your judgements
chloe's album is good and she was never overly sexual they can't get to beyonce so they use her to attack bey.
She’s talking about masturbation on her album BUT she was NOT overly sexual? Chloe is overly sexual and her songs are poorly written.
This comment needs more likes because EXACTLY!!
“oooh really? 😟 oooh YIKES 🥴” 😭😭😭😂😂 i’m screaming but no seriously 8:42
Nice girls finish last is one of the best songs off the album. On repeat in my house!
Chloe's album is fire❤❤
Trouble in paradise was YEARS better than in pieces. Shes getting there one project at a time. I wish this was her debut
On my first listen i had mixed feelings but a second listen is necessary to fully digest it
You have to listen to it in order because it doesn’t work without it because on first listen i was like on the fence.
Exactly 💯! They are haters
This ofcourse a perspective that not everyone has to agree with
Agreed. It’s giving RnB ice spice and I don’t like it. Like what is with all the sex stuff? It’s weird.
I mean, the show is Diddys that says it alone
I didn’t even know about the album until visual video randomly appeared in my timeline .
Reducing Chloe's album just to rose is shocking when she had vulnerable moments in the album did you even listen to the album?
Most of the songs were about sex. The vocals and beat got people mesmerized and distracted. Whenever you get the time, look up the lyrics.
Was waiting for the clean version of Trouble in Paradise to be uploaded. So far so good
She said this was the real and raw truth, and not to dismiss her testimony but….she was definitely saving a LOT of face. She used this time frame to speak out and get her back out there with her show perfectly though!
Chloe’s album is definitely AMAZING I love it.
loving the woo chile episodes and the new format!
Trouble in Paradise is genuinely such a beautiful body of work. It’s so much more cohesive than In Pieces and I neeeed people to listen!! I love Chloe Down mannnn
i love that you've started to touch on multiple topics in one video ❤
Thank you !
But why didn’t they mention that Caresha was named in some of these lawsuits but saying she never experienced that side of him how
I think it's because Caresha didn't see anything wrong with that weird stuff, so she didn't see that side because he didn't have to force her into it.
I hope yall comment on his other friends like this like Mary j blidge etc cause it’s weird yall drop everything on caresha like she the only celebrity to hang with diddy
@Thcprincess I love mjb ima a very huge fan, but yeah you right I been peeping her too, she might have the most tea tbh i dont know if they ever even fell out he fall out with everyone else Who else? What about lil kim? Maybe it's more of a side someone would only know if they are intimate with him 🤷🏾♀️ maybe if Caresha didn't say that thing to Gina (even though she was starting it) and the golden showers thing.
Labels are lazy I feel like they just let the artist promote on their socials
