அண்ணே, AC க்கு Return Path என்று இல்லை. DCக்குத்தான் அது.
AC is not a continuous flow of electrons. Its just vibration of electrons forward and reverse at the frequency of 50HZ. During the vibration Neutral provides the necessary buffer electrons for the vibration. Earth too can provide the buffer.
In AC, when a poorly designed device takes load above the rated limit, excessive electron vibration will create inductive vibrations in the device body. To provide adequate buffer electrons for neutralising the inductive vibrations in the body, Earth is necessary.
When we use poorly designed AC electrical device to handle the load, Earth becomes necessary .
