This was really cool to watch! I havent seen alot of this game but i would love to see more! Nice job Rekt well put together video! As a fellow youtuber i give you props :D
The combat is defintly more difficult then dark souls. Its so clunky its not even skill based. Dark souls is much more fast paced and attacks dont lock you into a frozen 10 second animation.
Combat is a bit clunky, but it's far from atrocious if you do it right. Only thing that locks you into an animation is the dodge and heavy attacks. You can't really complain about not having Iframes as well because most often we are either fighting some bandits running around or a flaming lion at most, not a dragon or some crap. Also, this game incentivises planned attacks, not button mashing then rolling when the time is right. Dark souls is more of a Combat Playing Game made by a big company, with its gameplay revolving almost entirely on combat, so it is more fleshed out. Outward, on the other hand, has several types of combat, and it was made by 10 people. Could it improve? Yea, but it's not bad at all if you have proper gear for agile combat. Sorry for wall of text.
