    Excellent tutorial Juna! I am new to the Affinity suite of programs but am intrigued by the mandala capabilities in Designer. I am so glad I found your video! A few of the others I watched were not NEARLY as detailed, well-paced, etc. as yours. I would love to see a video like this one, only using the Designer iPad program (hint, hint 😊). For some reason I think it would be easier to draw using it. But I am going to practice with the Windows version, and your instructions, and see what I can do. Again, thank you and I'm sure I speak for everyone else how much we appreciate your taking the time to share your knowledge with us!

      @@DetourShirts No worries, you are doing great! I just selfishly threw that idea out. 😊 But do know that they (iPad videos) will be much appreciated when/if you get the time to make them. I tend to usually use the desktop versions of most of the software I use, so I get a bit lost in the iPad versions sometimes. Again, thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise to help the rest of us learn! 😊 Take good care!

    Thanks for this tutorial, Juna. I think I may be doing something wrong. I have all the same settings as you, but when I start drawing with the pencil from the inside out, my "loops" are filled with the red gradient. If I turn the fill to WHITE or remove the fill, the rectangles are also emptied of color.

    • @DetourShirts
      @DetourShirts  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is strange...sorry... It's got to be the red gradient somewhere.. I'll have to watch this again and see if I can figure it out

    • @DetourShirts

      Sorry. The only suggestion I have is to try it again and follow each direction really slowly

    • @jandospace
      @jandospace ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@DetourShirts I've managed to do it manually, it doesn't snap to the line for some reason, it only does a 15 degree angle when holding shift, so I did it manually. It can go a little off, the distance increases when multiplying. Well anyway, thanks for the reply and for the tutorial, I've saved it as a template!

    Thank you so much for this instruction. If I want to make say 10 different designs would I need to create 10 artboards? What happens when I export it and save it as a PDF in order to make a coloring book, will each design print on a different page? I also am having trouble with creating another artboard. I click on the little diagram, but nothing happens. I have Windows 10. Another question, is each artboard considered as a page?

    • @DetourShirts
      @DetourShirts  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1
