For those wondering you can check out the FlexiSpot C7 ergonomic chair at bit.ly/4fJWqUS and use my code ''24BFC7'' to get $50 off on the C7 ergonomic chair ❤
I think if we told Daisy that workbenches are typically made from 5,000 year old bog oak, with drawer faces steam-bent into two-dimensional compound radii, and festooned with intricately mitred purfling, she might realise they’re actually quite easy to build.
100% agree. Not having daylight can mess you up in many ways, really not healthy so this is a huge upgrade in my opinion. Congrats Daisy, wishing you every success here
As a carpenter who's played guitar for 40 years, I wish you the best with your new workshop and success with your projects, both current and future. Getting to this point is no small feat, and you deserve all the good things that come your way.
You are likely one of the sweetest people on the web. Add in that you also an amazing Luthier. I sit patiently waiting for your next video. So glad you've gotten some windows now. 🎉
Such an achievement to have grown your business and your audience in the way you have, as always thanks for your honesty and humour. Electric desk as go bar deck - yes! Getting glue and dust on the pristine freakin electric desk - hell no!!
The standing desk go-bar deck adjustment is absolutely brilliant. I love taking things outside their context and finding new uses and synergies. There's a lovely German word for that, namely "ZWECKENTFREMDUNG", and I'm all for it.
The throne is NOT HIGH ENOUGH!!!!!😂 Absolutely amazing space, Daisy!👌 Watching you grow is a wonderful experience and so happy to see you flourishing. You look so happy in your new place! 🎉🎉🎉YAY!!!🎉🎉🎉
I'm so glad to see you thriving, Daisy. You are a treasure because your content is inspiring, demonstrating how one can succeed despite personal challenges by using your innate creativity and hard earned skills. Long may you flourish. :)
Congrats on the new workshop, Daisy. It looks great; love the big window. It's nice to see your excitement and pleasure with the new space and with what you have accomplished. Best wishes for your continued success.
Thanks for sharing this with aspiring craftsmen. I would add one thing; start your business organization NOW. That is to say, create the legal entity immediately. Here in the States, for instance, if you have an LLC that is 5-10 years old, access to business loans is much easier than if you are a startup. You don't even have to do anything under your organization, it just has to exists. That is a huge help for getting equipment on your floor. I own/operate a metalworking CNC manufacturing facility (only about 3000sq. ft.) and have around $800k USD of equipment on my floor in less than five years of operation which I could not do without access to the loans for established businesses. Hope that helps someone.
I have a recording studio that has moved countless times. My main goal now is WINDOWS! I've been in basements and small rooms and garages and big rooms. Now it's in a Barn which is great BUT only skylights. Windows are so critical for mental well being and no windows is the opposite of inspiring. So I get it! Congrats.
Oh, there's 99.9K already)))) Looking forward to 100K video!! I need to say that its not only skill stacking, but tools-stacking as well. I started guitar making as a hobby like 3 years ago - but already with no huge purchasing I have more than I can fit in the available space. Still live in the communal workshop tho - but starting my own with no guaranteed customers is to scare for me now.
ngl, pretty genius idea of using the standing desk as a Go-bar clamp. I think the only thing you might want to watch out is the amount of force you'll be putting on the desk, and as long it doesn't exceed their rated weight limit it should be okay? I think the flexispot e7 (if that's the model you have) is like 125 kg max? Mechanically the things that'll probably affect, and be worried about, will be the collision sensors and the motors themselves in the long term.
Hey Daisy, you're really articulate, I would never have known you've suffered from "nervous disorders" however, congratulations on yet again upping sticks into a far superior workshop. Keep going girl you will succeed, I can tell. Stu from Lancashire
I built my first guitar 2 years ago. Electric Les Paul model with Wengé top and back. I have built several more since and would love to do this as a full time job. I just don't see it happening... seems sureal... Bills have to be payed, children have to be fed.... Honestly... I'm slightly jealous of your accomplishments and how far you have brought your business. Beautiful stuff!
now guitar making would be confusing to me I have never made a guitar before but I like building furniture !my favorite is restoring old furniture ! I love your new shop .
I love the new space! Thanks for sharing! I am on a quest to improve my basement workshop in Columbus, Ohio. I cut a hole in the cinder block last year and added a large window which makes all the difference like your shop. I am following your lead creating a tool wall so I can find my tools when I need them. Happy woodworking!
The idea for using the electric desk for go bar is a good one, but it would be a good idea to do a test to be sure you aren't going to overload the motor in the desk. Electric desks generally range from 150 to 300 pounds in weight capacity. Just put a bathroom scale on the desk and then arrange 5 bars on the scale and raise the desk to what you consider to be a working height. Get a reading from the scale and divide by five. That would be the force one bar would be putting on the desk motor. Divide that into 150 and you now have the number of bars you should not exceed. I've no idea what the force of one go bar should be, but say its 10 pounds. Know this you would be safe using up to 15 go bars on the electric desk with no issue. If its only 5 pounds of force then 30 go bars would be fine. ETA: I looked up the desk model you mentioned, E7 Pro, which states it has a static load capacity of 440 pounds. I'm guessing you'll be fine using it with your go bars. Still, doing the test would give me peace of mind.
Thank you, dear Daisy. Your story is always fresh and inspirational. I hope to see many people follow your lead, stacking their skills and showing up here and everywhere they can to make their small but powerful voices be heard. You certainly do that, and I am sure many people are grateful to you for that! I certainly am. Cheers from Bosnia!
Congratulations on the new workshop! .. The high ceiling and natural light is really nice .. I spent a few years in a windowless london basement workshop as a modelmaker ..The last straw was when after a very heavy down pour the sump pump failed and I came into work to find all the equipment and benches standing in a good 300mm of very nasty "soil water" :( Think I've rewatched all your videos this past few days as i'm doing a sculpting job and its great inspiring content Enjoy your new space, looking forward to the new project. (As to the desk Go bar deck.. it should be perfectly okay ..Their is probably a spec for the weight load desk can lift , id assume geared powered leadscrews on the lift mech and you arent using a huge amount of pressure )
The natural lighting is a real plus not only for making sure the colors you are going for when designing the guitars you build but also for emotional well being.
You are an amazing young lady. I first saw you on Andertons TV and have been following you ever since. I really enjoy your content and your craftsmanship is on another level. Congratulations on the new workspace (and windows) and I look forward to more amazing content from you.
Again, a thoroughly enjoyable video! You are very skilled and have the personality to match. There’s no doubt you are/will be one of the top luthiers around! I too am a big fan of Matt’s. Although I was a little concerned when he said “the world’s gone mad” and said he was quitting…. I am an old woodworker and look forward to woodworking videos presented by talented people and you are one of my faves! Thank you and keep on building beautiful instruments!
Daisy, I’ve been in love with your work ever since I started watching a few months ago. It’s always such a joy to see your content! I’m especially happy to see how much brighter and more at peace you seem lately-it’s inspiring to see how far you’ve come since sharing your struggles. You’ve grown so much, and it’s beautiful to witness. You truly have such a kind and genuine spirit, and the world could use more people like you. Thank you for sharing not just your incredible work but also your journey with us. Wishing you all the happiness-you deserve it!
I can't tell you how much I loved everything about this video hehe. I was having a rough day and you totally lifted my spirits with this one 😊 Thank you
Congratulations on the new workshop! You just recently showed up on my feed. Myself and most of my family are musicians so it was great fun watching your video from I believe 2 years ago of you making the "$36,000" guitar. My wife, myself and two of my sons thoroughly enjoyed your video and have since subscribed to your channel. Thank you for your content!
Should extend the loft to the room separation bump outs. Give you 200 to 300 square feet of space. Will retain the natural light on both floors. Cost would be minimal for the extra space.
Most of us would have filled the walls with cabinets or shelving. The pictures, plants and mirror make it a real living space. The desk is reasonably priced and using it for extra duty bending is genius. Thanks.
Daylight is important. I´m so glad you got this new place. Unfortunately your guitars are out of my financial reach, but I enjoy watching people who know their stuff. You are a very skilled person. 😊
If I added up what it would cost to replace my tools it would be $$$ too. I think you really are making a good name for yourself and do amazing work !!
Nice workshop! I have a former cowshed, which is a nice big space, with rooflights rather than proper windows. I repainted the inside with some leftover magnolia masonry paint, and immediately regretted it. The lighting changed completely, and I had to buy a couple of cans of white to correct the mistake. Like clamps, you can't have too much white light! I don't make guitars, sticking to more general DIY projects. One tool that I strongly recommend is a scroll saw: mine was bought with a view to making arty/crafty items, but it's so versatile and useful that it gets used on pretty much every DIY project.
Congratulations Daisy; it’s great that you have a new workshop place that’s light n airy AND with a window….even better. I’m looking forward to what will be coming along from you over the weeks and months ahead!
I play guitar and I make wood things. I discover your channel today and your workshop in London 👍. So for me, it’s not a déjà vu Tour, as you said. The 3 easiest words to understand for a French . A one more suscriber, bravo for the 100k.
Congrats on a new space. I could work there. Using the desk to tension is brilliant, but remember you can't feel the tension you are applying. You didn't mention that not everything has to be new. Keeping an eye open for factories closing up and estate sales can get you things for a penny or two on the dollar. A few of my favourite tools were made in the 1800's.
Huge congrats on the newest space! 🎉👏👏👏 And thank you for the tour and most of all for "How I got here" segment. That is incredibly inspirational. KEEP GOING! You're doing amazing!
That's a fantastic space, and you should indeed feel proud for having earned it! And as a furniture maker who looks at lutherie as freaking magic, I'll just say different strokes for different folks. :) I'm actually in the final stages of building my dream woodworking shop in my back yard, so feeling some additional kinship with you. Can't wait to see what beautiful work you share with us next!
What a great new space! There's a lot of echo, so I think I'd add a couple of acoustic panels on the walls somewhere to absorb a bit of that. But it is bright and cheerful and you've organized it so it fits your workflow. I think you might be surprised about building furniture and how well you would do. I've built some furniture and feel relatively confident in doing so, but wouldn't have any idea where to start on a musical instrument, but I recognize that a lot of the steps and processes are the same. You know how to use the tools, which is half the battle. Building a workbench might be a bit of an ask for a first project, but I'm sure you could build something a little less demanding quite satisfactorily. Congrats on 100k! Keep up the good work!
Hi Daisy, an enjoyable, informative episode, and the chance to have a nose around your new workshop. I'm going to look at the skill stacking, I've just retired and want to go back to my first joy, playing with wood, carpenter joiner stuff with a creative twist, this video landed at the perfect time for me, I've had a new garage/workshop space built, and now I'm going to start 'populating' it, I'm 'unpacking' the woodworking tools I already have, then I'm going to make a list of the machines I will also need, this will be organic as I pick a piece from mind that I want to make real.. Ye gods, and there's my business name. MakeReal. Thanks, you exceptional human, being, you (nope, not a mistaken coma, some people are humans, being).
That you for sharing an insight on your passion & craftsmanship that you have on your builds. I'm looking forward to Temptest brand grow and gain new heights I'm glad I just happen to come your channel on TH-cam. Honestly I think you are standing even with the rest of the other high end acoustic guitars. One day I hope to own one of your acoustic guitars.your skill level is right there among the best. Thank you for sharing your process with the world. Yes you are that good.
Just noticed the subscriber number is at 99.9k. Soooooo close! 🤞 Back to workshop thoughts, a lot of my stuff came second hand. There is a hardware store near me where I have bought really good screwdrivers for £1 each. Or a hammer for £5. We also have an auctioneer and I got a brilliant 6 inch benchtop jointer thicknesser for about £95 including fees. Because it was going through auction they had to PAT check it as well. And their tool sales include timber. I don't need more at the moment but they have had mahogany ash and oak planks as well as pine boards. My main planes and chisels were used as was my vice. My workbench is an old desk which was a bit low so I added a layout table top made from reclaimed timber. My family all now know that if they ever get stuck what to buy me for birthday or Christmas just get me some clamps (won't say it...) Some don't listen and still buy me whisky but I can live with that. My workshop is lined with scrounged plywood, reclaimed timber battens and re-purposed sides from a couple of ikea wardrobes. Chipboard is chipboard wherever it comes from. My cupboards are old kitchen cabinets and worktop. Great storage space and a secondary working surface. I have been fortunate enough to be able to afford some hefty new machinery but even my drum sander was used. Its a Jet 22/44 so is a serious piece of kit but vastly below the new price. It's all doable with time and effort. Now let's hit that 100k target eh?
Santa using a hand plane to slice a turkey is great. You know someone out will want to try it. Lol. And I know a lot of woodworkers who would buy that card to give at Christmas time.
Nice work shop good to have daylight, hope you can find things now you have moved. your a very gifted young lady. I have a electronics work room, sometimes I cant find things, but I am a 81 year old bugger, I remember when king Charles was born. keep up the good work and videos even I learn something from them.👍 better than TV.
Congrats on 100k here's to the next 100 love the new workshop (you are going to be staying for a while) and the gobar creations so cool and makes sure that your desk is justifying its cost. stay safe J.
50-plus years a woodworker and can't imagine a problem with the adjustable go bar platform, so long as you make sure the item can't slip. Thanks for the tour. I'm just about to make some shop changes for the n-th time, so I'm trolling shop org videos.
However I organise my workshop there's stuff that doesn't fit in the scheme that goes in boxes. Some if it is even stuff I use regularly. Thank you for showing us this bit, that so many just leave out.
For those wondering you can check out the FlexiSpot C7 ergonomic chair at bit.ly/4fJWqUS and use my code ''24BFC7'' to get $50 off on the C7 ergonomic chair ❤
Maybe ask Flexispot for the 4 legged standing desk for the go-bar? Should be more stable than the 2 legged one.
I think if we told Daisy that workbenches are typically made from 5,000 year old bog oak, with drawer faces steam-bent into two-dimensional compound radii, and festooned with intricately mitred purfling, she might realise they’re actually quite easy to build.
I don't play guitar, I don't make wood things, but I am in love with the content you provide it is so uplifting and simple. Cheers on the new space.
A window can make such a difference.
Natural light is so important no matter what you are making.
Thanks for the tour !
Ambiance important for one's soul
100% agree. Not having daylight can mess you up in many ways, really not healthy so this is a huge upgrade in my opinion. Congrats Daisy, wishing you every success here

Been watching you work and grow for ages it seems, many years, you are exactly where you deserve to be. Well done. 😊
Now that's a terrific work shop Daisy! Keep living your dream and making incredible guitars! 👍👍🎸🎸💖💖
The standing desk go-bar deck adjustment is absolutely brilliant. I love taking things outside their context and finding new uses and synergies. There's a lovely German word for that, namely "ZWECKENTFREMDUNG", and I'm all for it.
The throne is NOT HIGH ENOUGH!!!!!😂
Absolutely amazing space, Daisy!👌
Watching you grow is a wonderful experience and so happy to see you flourishing.
You look so happy in your new place!
🎉🎉🎉YAY!!!🎉🎉🎉
I love your little hops ❤❤❤
I'm so glad to see you thriving, Daisy. You are a treasure because your content is inspiring, demonstrating how one can succeed despite personal challenges by using your innate creativity and hard earned skills. Long may you flourish. :)
Difficult to come up with new ideas for videos, but moving workshops is a great plan. No more than twice a year, otherwise it’ll be too obvious.🥳
Congrats on the new workshop, Daisy. It looks great; love the big window. It's nice to see your excitement and pleasure with the new space and with what you have accomplished. Best wishes for your continued success.
Always nice to see a little "Out of the Box" thinking. Standing Desk pressure clamp......Have to love it! ❤👍
Congratulations on the upgrade - enjoy the natural light and added space.
It's the (mostly) annual "Daisy moves her workshop Day" wohooo!
Looks like a beautiful space Daisy, dead chuffed you have a window to the outside world, oh and the standing desk idea, pure genius!!!
Cheers on the new, brighter space; natural light des so much for one’s spirits. Aways look forward to your videos.
I built my first guitar 2 years ago. Electric Les Paul model with Wengé top and back.

Interesting. Nicely demonstrates her perseverance and shows her passion.

bright future for you can't wait to see what's in store. I get inspired to tidy my space from seeing how well organised your shop is

Well done. Thoroughly enjoy these videos. Very personal and informing.
I wish you good fortune in your new workshop.
Love your laconic delivery, btw.
Awesome! Congratulations!! Now I know why we haven't seen a new video in some time, but the wait was worth it.

Congrats on the new workshop looks great, wish you much continued success and look forward to hearing more. Love the FJ interview too.
Very enjoyable watching this Daisy, you certainly don't let the grass grow around your feet! I hope the security in the building is first rate?

Thanks Daisy Tempest. Awesome video. You and your shop seem to be in true harmony!
Congratulations for the nice workshop! It will inspire you, for sure. Keep the good momentum.
You are amazing, and so inspiring, Daisy! 👍🏼⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thank you for the tour and back story, Daisy! Congratulations on the new shop. I know you'll enjoy it.
So glad for you. ❤
You make me smile a happy smile.😊 Good job, keep growing.
Beautiful space! I really like your standing desk.
Just noticed the subscriber number is at 99.9k. Soooooo close! 🤞
Back to workshop thoughts, a lot of my stuff came second hand.
Yay!!!! 100k
💯👏👏👏👏👏🎊🎉🎂
So much talent in this young women! Thanks for sharing Daisy
Congratulations on the new Workshop Daisy!! Always love your videos, both Format and Content! - Look forward to the next project video!
Congratulations! "Movin on up!"
Santa using a hand plane to slice a turkey is great. You know someone out will want to try it. Lol. And I know a lot of woodworkers who would buy that card to give at Christmas time.
Stunning workshop and location!
Your guitars are amazing, but really likes your drawings too 😊
That Santa Claus drawing was both funny and genious 😁👌
What a beautiful shop. Huge windows. Very good choice for a shop move.
Excellent cool space Daisy... All the best of luck 👍
Congratulations on 100k subscribers!! I Love the new space! Love seeing You SO HAPPY! ❤ I can't wait to see the new guitar build!! 👍💪 Daisy RULES!
Good making, let's go😊
Standing desk idea is great, the that desk can handle a lot of weight, so tensioning should be just fine.
Your new shop is awesome, congratulations Daisy.
Congratulations on the new space!

However I organise my workshop there's stuff that doesn't fit in the scheme that goes in boxes. Some if it is even stuff I use regularly. Thank you for showing us this bit, that so many just leave out.
