Thanks for making this - really nicely put together. I just picked up a gh6 and was attracted by the idea of internally recorded pro res files - my main camera is an arri amira which records the same format, so this was ideal for me. I haven't tried recording on the other codecs yet, not sure how final cut would handle them but very happy to try.

Great video! You’ve made some solid observations and your overall point about Panasonic going back to the way they do things is spot on! If it was about smaller data rates (ProRes Raw vs 444) than why didn’t Panasonic use one of their AVC Intra variants instead. It is very strange indeed.
Better marketing, following nikon z9 trend at the time of release and fuji rumors of having it too..Avc hardware acceleration decoders was only recently added in some editing software too (outside of apple) and not everyone is on the apple system. Also heard lately that nvidia in their 4000 series have now dual avc decoders and its up to 60% faster.
What is your fav colour profile on Gh6 when you not shooting in vlog or raw ?
VLOG is my favourite profile, with Natural a close second.

@@gurugamer8632 Sorry didn't have my camera at the time but, Saturation -2, Sharpness -5, everything else left as is.
@@ogmedz How about NR (noise reduction), there is an option to adjust this too for the natural profile?
