      Hello Art, Matt was never an employee he's always been the "go to" estimator and sometimes works as a contract worker. Aaron is an employee and childhood friend and I've noticed no matter how much he heckles Mike, he's never actually dropped a tree on Aaron though he gets close sometimes.

    Great video Mike. This creek move project has probably helped save a families home from sliding off the hillside. They may still face some foundation movement challenges at some point without installing anchors deep into the ground and bedrock. Mother Earth has a way of doing whatever it wants to do regardless of our best intentions.

    • @erikcourtney1834
      @erikcourtney1834 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I bet it will be fine since there moving the creek away from it which is what caused it to start with. Luckily they’re fixing it before it got any worse. If the erosion made it up to the house then that would be a whole different situation.

      You missed the part mentioned about the slip plane about 2’ from the house and the creek 10’ from it. The slip plane will continue to affect the house even with the creek being diverted. That’s why DP is putting in the big retaining wall.

    My daughter is an expert in stream restoration. Water rolls as it turns. It is important to place the correct stones to control this portion or erosion will be excessive, and the proper vegetation is needed to stabilize the banks.

    Been waiting for this one to begin since Matt's bid video.
    It's going to be really interesting watching you guys stabilize that hill and diverting that creek.
    The neighbor may not realize it but it's going to be a big plus for him having that area opened up.
    The trees left behind will get healthier not competing with all that brush and saings for nutriens and it'll make him a nice cleared area for a lawn or garden.
    He can also control plant new trees with lots of area to grow and keep the area between them mowed clear between them.
    I'm definitely going to enjoy watching this series.

    What I would do is put a 14 inch pipe in the creek and cover the pipe with soil and rocks so that way the water can flow through the pipe and not erode the banks of the hill

    • @cathiwim
      @cathiwim ปีที่แล้ว

      14 inches is way too small, I’ll bet. When the spring thaws come, that creek can fill up to 4 feet or more in a bad downpour- the terrain is similar to what we have in East TN. I wouldnt use less than 48 inch pipe.😊 thats probably the reason the bank is eroding
