The time thing your talking about for a batch is not what you think it is. The answer is if there are orders not being takin at a store then the app will encourage shoppers out of the area to come to that store. Just doing instacart for awhile you will know what days and times have demand for example 10am on Sunday at costco typically has a lot of demand. Hope this helps!!
They need to add a feature that shows how many shoppers are waiting at the store for batches. This will help determine whether I have a higher chance of getting a batch then having to wait a long time.
@jaredstewart5989 ask you shall receive! They just added the feature, it will say if there is very low, low or high demand in the area you are in within a 5miles radius. I’ll take it!
Most of the updates you have talked about has been in effect for a couple months already. The level of a shopper is a big difference and ratings from a 4.96 and below. The swiping to hide unwanted batches is the game changer to get those better batches quicker for sure!

The hide feature for Instacart is very beneficial when there are many offers on the screen and you know you don't want it. Makes it easier to see a better batch you may want to accept.

I delivered for IC last weekend. Camped out at my local Costco stores for batches. The updates you mentioned Mike have been live for at least two weeks on my app. The one I found most useful is the hide feature. I would hide batches that sent me to Portland, or had multiple shops at different stores. This "seemed" to keep my app refresh time to a minimum. The app already is slow to respond, and bogs down when batches come in. Many times I would get the new batch notification, but never see the batch in the app itself. IC really needs to streamline the app overall. Very clunky when transitioning from GPS mode to batch mode. Bar code updates are another struggle as well. The barcode for brown organic eggs, and paper towels were problematic all weekend at Costco. Packaging pictures are correct, but codes are not.
I like the hide batches feature. I hide batches at stores that are too far away or that have too many items (I like smaller batches even if they pay less.) I just wish they’d stay hidden rather than reappear just because they get a $1 promo pay. I still don’t want to drive 10 miles to get to the store.
I used to be a shopper. I loved it. None of this matters to me since they don't pay us anymore. The hide option isn't new, that's always been there. I've been a "Diamond shopper" for ages and it just simply doesn't matter anymore. It's just not worth my time anymore.
I do walmart Spark but my main one these days is Flex.
Nothing pays. Cause companies are to damn greedy.

I've been doing this for about 9 months and I hit Gold in the first quarter, Platinum in the 2nd quarter (went to Europe for a month or I'd have hit Diamond), and then Diamond. I don't see any difference other than the ONE oil change per quarter discount by being Diamond. You can only hide it until it changes the price again. You should be able to hide a batch and never see it again. These features have been out a lot longer than 3 weeks.

Actually besides priority access oil changes are 75% off when diamond through caradvise so a $100 oil change will be only 25.
Hi Mike, this is the only app I always disagree with the way you look at it. I don’t look at how much $ per item I take it how much $ per hr I will be making thats how I usually stay at around $28-$32 per hr on that platform but yes I am very experienced so that might not work for everyone.
Why is Walmart on instacart when they have spark and their own online delivery?
I still don’t understand the random batch thing I would never see all high paying batches for the day
I'm at a 5 star diamond cart but now im making less money with this new update. There's alot more drivers all sitting at the same store with most customers only tipping $2 .

I would like to add that the hotspot index feature has much in common with the renowned Uber _red smoke_ ......once you get there, it's moved a mile down the road 😫
Now they just need to clear their waitlists more efficiently. 2 years is 2 years too long to wait.
One feature that would help me is if they did not force me to wait in the parking lot because there's already so many people sitting in the parking lot I would like to maybe go a mile away sit at a park or have lunch and not have to worry about missing an order because I'm not a quarter mile away from the store
These updates have been active for a solid while now in the areas i work . If you hide that batch, if it gets boosted it pops up again as a new batch by the way
Hate those $50 20 trip drop offs orders on Spark. Those orders are skips. Why…? …Because cannot get close to the promo pay and they are $2 garbage orders.

Hiding batches is better than canceling them on Instacart. This feature is doesn’t matter on Uber Eats. But on this app it helps.
Hey Mike big fan of your channel has helped me alot, those Instacart features has been in my city of new York since the beginning of spring but the gps and availability has been around for about 3 moths, but it doesn't help if your not a platinum or diamond cart and even at that it tends to be slow. Keep up the great work 😎

There is no decline on instacart. U either take it or you don't. U are just hiding the batch u don't want to see. The penalty with instacart is when u accept and then cancel the order.
